The surround is beautiful, and looks great when installed HOWEVER: I will clarify my "NO" on recommending this. it is BEAUTIFUL, but the incomplete/inadequate materials list in the instructions and the adhesive materials/concept is flawed. IF the manufacturer changes the linking design of the back and side walls so they actually fit properly, and the adhesive is changed it would be fine. It is difficult to fix things after the fact, frustrating, and expensive when you are paying a contractor to redo and revise the installation. 1) The directions are not adequate. The "list of materials" to do this job does not mention " REQUIRES bracing" and there is no mention of bracing materials in the materials list. The first mention of bracing is at the END of installation, where it tells you to brace for 24 hours to let the caulk cure. 2) this should be installed with ADHESIVE caulk, not standard caulking provided. 3) the sticky peel and press strip on the edges does not hold at all; push on it and it sticks, let go and it pops loose. Inferior product? Wrong product for the application? Not sure, but it is ineffective and worthless. 4) design where back installs against both sides: There is a lap in the back wall but not deep enough to handle the depth of the sidewalls, therefore the back does not fit flat against the bathroom wall when mounted against the side panels, leaving a gap at the top of the surround, and since the adhesive does not hold, continues to POP whenever you press against it. 5) since the caulking and the peel and stick do NOT hold we had to install a trim strip around 3 sides of the surround so it didn't come loose from the wall. 6) installed by a contractor, not a homeowner so this should have been a piece of cake and turned into major nightmare. 7) REAL downside of this? when you install some of the caulking sticks making it impossible to remove the pieces to use different adhesive as it TEARS the sheetrock. Therefore, you are stuck with what is on the wall and need to compensate with trim. And prayer. Perhaps the installation of grab bars and the trim surround will prevent this from coming loose and crashing down on my head, however the surround has never completely adhered to the wall and it has been 3 weeks since install. NEED NEW DESIGN

I had this installed 5 years ago, and I am still pleased. This requires virtually no maintenance, I clean it occasionally only out of a sense of duty, I believe I could go without ever cleaning it and it would be just fine. The shelves need wiping down sometimes but the walls seem to just repel dirt. I originally purchased it for looks alone, had I known then that the name Swan usually means lower quality, I probably would have chosen another brand, I am glad I didn't.

The first surround was broken upon delivery (the delivery person did not handle it with care, so I attributed the damage to him). We reordered and waited a couple of weeks for the replacement with our only shower covered in plastic. When the new one arrived, it looked like it was in good shape, but it broke under extremely light pressure during installation. We returned both broken units and went with a sturdier, more flexible composite that didn't break during install. I will say that the Swan product looked very nice and higher end, but it wasn't worth another few weeks' wait without a completed shower.

The durability and quality of the tub surround appeared to be well made. I like the texture tile pattern, thus the reason I made this purchase. Home Depot offered competitive prices and free shipping to their store. The package came with some silicone adhesive caulking too (one tube), but it was enough for the whole project. The back of the panels have double sided stick on tape strips which help getting the panels to stay up on the wall. I did notice a few minor scratches on the panels that came that way from the factory, but for the most part they are not noticeable and I would still highly recommend this product. Just make sure you have a vehicle large enough to pick up the package as it is about 5 feet x 5 feet when boxed.

Once the product is installed, very happy. My handyman is the primary reason product was correctly installed. Adhesive NOT included, it should be. Online directions do NOT match product received, did call helpline and got answer.

The inclosure was very made and went in pretty easy . Not enough adhesive for all the walls. Other than that all ok .

This tub surround went up easy and was a very well made unit. Heavy duty and adhered easily to the new drywall. I would gladly buy it all over again.

This walk-in-tub met my expectations. I now feel safe taking a tub bath.

Easy to install and looks really nice. Online instructions easy to follow. Phone support had knowledgeable person. Hardest part was preparing all the bracing that you need to support it while the glue dries. I bought 1"x2"x8' pieces and some cheap pine wedges which worked well.

I bought a lower priced tub surround and after getting it home I returned it.The material was very thin. I found the Swan on line and ordered it. It took about a week to arrive at my Home Depot with free shipping.The quality of the Swan product was incredible.Swsn also had a lifetime warranty.The tile pattern looks like real tile and no grout to every worry about.

This Swan tub wall looks great two weeks after being installed. It is over a cast iron tub from the 1970's that was still in good shape. The biggest part of the job was removing the old tile and replacing the water damaged drywall. Once that was done, the 3 piece wall went up quickly. There is only one shelf but it is long enough for all our shampoos and body wash. The white is a soft white not a cool white. We were concerned about lining the tile up but there was no problem at all. Our project was delayed a couple of weeks as the first shipment to our local Home Depot was damaged. They said there would be better packaging on the reorder and it arrived in good shape. The service department people were very friendly and helpful and the frequent emails kept me from tearing my hair out because of the delay.

I wanted something that looked like tile without the complication of installation or the maintenance issues of tile. This product delivered. I couldn't be happier.

I had an odd shaped size and needed a unit i could trim. this was high quality, easy to trim for adjustable sizes. i have no complaints at all. They give you silicone, but i would recommend power grab. it works alot better and sticks to the wall or concrete board fast. dont use liquid nails as it has acid in it and will eat through the plastic.

I just installed the new version of this surround which had to be replaced when I had to replace my tub. The old version lasted 15 years with no cracks or flaws. This one, as with the older version, is easy to maintain and clean and looks great. The old version also had shelves about two feet from the top on both ends and that was very convenient and I wish it was available on this version.

I had a huge project in my bathroom in which I took it down to the studs. I found this shower and thought it would be another huge job to install. To my surprise, It is extremely easy to install and looks wonderful. The walls are beautiful and sturdy and we have not had any problems with it at all. I plan on installing another in my other bathroom.
