What a waste.
I have used this cooktop for about 14 months.
I really disliked this cooktop, pretty much from the first time I used it. It is horribly inefficient.
Too much heat is wasted around the sides of a pot or pan and, if I turn the heat down, the flame is too low to effectively heat the pot and its contents. The handles of the pots invariably get so hot, I need to use heat pads to keep from being burned when I try to remove the pots. So much heat is wasted, the exhaust fan on the microwave above turns on automatically. I am convinced there is too much gap between the grate and the burners.
Also, the knobs can be turned accidentally just by brushing against them. More than once, we have been alarmed by the smell of gas in the kitchen.

really nice stovetop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had this stovetop installed about three weeks ago and so far it is excellent. Very powerful and hot, the center burner boils water very quickly, and gets a stir fry going in no time. Eventually one has to move off that center burner for more normal cooking. When using the simmer burner, it is best to put it down to the lowest setting. It is also fairly easy to keep clean, we use a sponge only, with a small amount of dishwashing soap if needed. Overall, a very good stovetop for the money and nice looking too.

Good value for the price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve enjoyed the cooktop. The middle burner is a nice feature. We had to adjust the flame since it was very strong. That’s easy to do with a small screw driver. The adjustment for it is under the knobs.

Hard to Clean!
Although I love how the cooktop cooks, the sealed burners have developed a
'Yellow stain' around them. It's only a few months old. I am unable to get this off and am not certain what cleaning product to use that will not damage the surface. I've tried everything I can think of with no luck. It's only a few months old and looks like it's 20 years old already. I did not have this problem with my last cooktop, which was, in fact, 18 years old.

Knobs are awful and so expensive.
We have a brand new build and we had all knobs of our stove top crack and break off completely. These knobs are so expensive to replace we might as well get a different stovetop all together! This can't be normal, I'm so irritated because every time we have to cook now we only have one -two knobs that work and we have to be so careful to turn o the stove because im afraid the cracks will cause a break in the one we have left.

Plastic Knobs
Cheap plastic knobs break with normal everyday use. Horrible design. We’ve replaced twice. As you can see we’ve even tried taping them to get them to last longer!!!
They are expensive to replace, even with a discount they are 100.00.

Nice replacement for a 30+ year old cooktop
Honestly, I wanted anything that would fit the existing countertop cut out. This has metal knobs (slightly off color) some models use plastic according to reviews. Some minor discoloration of stainless finish (may be handling prior to boxing). Gas conversion was easy for the installer. Burner sizes offer lots of options; they needed adjustment to reduce the flame size on low. See pictures for the solution to secure installation clips, they would not have worked otherwise. Glad I got it on sale!

A great step up.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All burners roar at full blast at the same time. Elevated grates provide even heating. It looks nice, like it means business on my center island. If you are looking for something low profile for a counter top this may not be for you. I have no complaints and it certainly was worth the price, which I feel was a bargain to begin with.

Nice Stovetop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice stovetop. Very easy to install myself and got it working immediately! Grates are easy to remove for cleaning and extremely heavy duty. Burners work great and heat up pots and pans quickly. The only downside is the stovetop sits about an inch higher than our old unit, so if you’re not very tall, it does make it more difficult when cooking. Other than that it’s a nice appliance!

Looks nice, well built, cooks great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this cooktop. We had to run a gas line to replace our old electric cook top. I read reviews that the knobs may not hold up so I can’t report about that yet, but everything else is great. I have also heard that stainless will discolor overtime, but we just wipe it up after every time we cook so that there’s no residue. I don’t use soap on the top I just use plain water and a towel.

Love my new cooktop!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this for almost a month now and love it! Looks sleek. Very easy to control heat and the power boil is so much faster than my previous builder-grade gas cooktop. Has also been so easy to keep clean. It actually feels much bigger than 30'', and I can fit 5 pots if needed. Genius layout. I also love that the knobs are a bit raised. Only improvement would be an indicator light or light under the knobs to show which burners are on.

Excellent Cooktop

I am so happy I made this purchase. This is a high quality cooktop that is perfect for my new house. I love the metal knobs that are tilted. Best Decision

Excellent Cooktop!

Glad we switched!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our cooktop started failing and it came time for a replacement. We chose the Frigidaire based on its proven quality. Although it has only been a few weeks, we're very pleased with this cooktop. Plenty of BTU's for just about anything. Our old cooktop had the controls on the side, with restricted the burner surface. This layout, with the burners in the front makes an incredible difference when using multiple pans.

An average cooktop
This cooktop was easy to install and looked good in my kitchen...until I started using it. It has a design flaw at the knobs. A spill can seep into the knob holes and is practically impossible to clean out. Brown spots have started showing up around the burners and they cannot be removed. It appears the finish is turning brown from the heat. The surface also easily gets scratch marks. I am dissatisfied with this unit. It was installed two months ago and it already looks like an old unit. It looks like a cheap, low end appliance. I expected better from a Frigidaire.

Perfect Stovetop
