A direct replacement for our old one, this dropped in nicely and easy to install. You do need very flat pots and pans to transfer heat efficiently though. Needs to be cleaned frequently. Only minor gripe is the heat indicators. They are on, obviously, to show it's hot but they go off when the temperature gets down to 150F (according to the manual) which is still pretty warm !!!! I always leave something on that ring till it's much cooler now.

This was a replacement for my other GE stove top that was about to go out! I was able to replace it with this unit easily enough myself! My wife loves the "power boil" burners. So far, so good!

Nicer than ranges costing much more. i needed a cook-top under 29" wide - therefore my choices were limited & this was a great choice. Installation Tip! - I used this cook-top to replace an old Jenn-Air that was much taller. I had a local glass shop cut a black glass plate for the front edge to cover old larger cutout area. This looks great - and works well!

Cooktop is exactly as shown . Very easy installation For do it yourself people. Didn't even need an electrician. Measure opening carefully.

I bought this cooktop in 2013, to match double ovens also purchased then. It has been great and still works well. It is easy to clean, using the recommended products. It remains nice looking, which was never the case with the older style cooktops.

I bought this three months, the stainless steel on it or looks more like chrome is too easy to scratch and hot oatmeal popped on control knob and left spots and this is not because of abuse. The cooktop part is great.

I went from an old coil stove to this stove. I've always wanted a ceramic stove top. I really like how it heats up fast (power boil is great) and then evenly maintains the heat. It cleans well if you use the ceramic cleaner that comes with it. I read many of the reviews of this and other stove tops on HD website. This one had better reviews for something in this price range and I agree with what they said. I've only had it a few weeks but I'm very happy with it so far.

I had to replace after 14 years because I dropped a heavy pot on the cooktop and glass cracked. Never had any problems with the unit. I hope this one lasts even longer. Excellent product!!

This was a great fit to replace the prior 30" much quieter than my previous stove top - outstanding buy for the money!

I replaced an old GE coil electric cooktop. This fit in the same opening and is a great improvement. Much nicer looking, easier to clean, and heat is very even.

This replaced an original GE cooktop with the coil burners that lasted 20 years. The glass top acts a little differently but is efficient and consistent.

this unit replaced a more expensive cooktop that had a stainless frame that I thought would prevent another cracked top...not so. On Christmas day, while preparing dinner, a small bottle of oil fell out of the overhead cabinet and landed right on the edge of the frame and ceramic top...cracked all the way up. It also took 3 cleaning products, pads and many paper towels to clean...and about 30 minutes. The new model has a mottled salt and pepper finish and can usually be cleaned with some Windex. But watch out for the edges and PLEASE remove all glass containers from all cabinets above the cooktop!

The new cook top definitely heats up faster than my old coil burners.. I've learned that I need to turn the temp down sooner because the burner remains hotter longer if I want to simmer what I'm cooking. The cons of my new black cook top is that even if you only use one burner, you have to clean the whole surface to look "nice". My sauce pans slide around more easily on the surface so no more one handed stirring. I also purchased black liners to put over the surface of the cook top to prevent it from getting scratched. Overall, it performs as advertised.

This model replaces a much more expensive GE model that had a stainless frame around it that I thought would prevent another broken cooktop (the edges being particularly vulnerable). I was wrong...on Christmas day with the dinner prep in full swing, a small bottle of oil fell right on the edge of the ceramic and stainless...CRACK...all the way from top to bottom, right between the burners. The other thing about that model was that it was nearly impossible to clean...three special products, pads, paper towels AND a paint scraper were necessary to clean the unit even after minimal use. This new unit is a salt and pepper finish and can be cleaned with a little Windex and a paper towel...much better!!!

Not easy to clean, but extremely functional and it looks good

My wife and I replaced a 40+ year old GE electric range(that still worked perfectly, but needed an upgrade) with this cooktop, and wow what a difference. It used to take 12 minutes to boil a quart of cold water in a two quart pot and now it only takes 7 minutes. It looks great as well.
