[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this refrigerator for about 7 years. Suddenly rust water started leaking out from behind the ice dispensers control panel. Within a couple of weeks it has gotten far worse. Now there’s a large decaying rust spot on the panel. I don’t know where the leak is coming from but it has to be ice maker related. I’m sure replacing the panel will cost half the price of a replacement. Very disappointing.

I designated the top freezer for frozen vegetables & the bottom for meats, which is a classic convenience. The Refrigerator is luxe, designed for modern convenience, and is suited for our continual needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge 6 years ago. We had a few small issues in the beginning that were eventually resolved. But we did experience the lifting of the control panel. They did end up replacing the door for us bc this occurred very early on after purchase but were told it was merely a cosmetic issue. Shortly after the same problem with the new door. Here we are 6 years later and suddenly my fridge and freezer aren’t cooling. I have the app to attempt the “smart diagnostics” but it turns out due to the lifting control panel the lock button isn’t working making it impossible to attempt “smart diagnostics”. That makes it FAR WORSE THAN A COSMETIC ISSUE. Otherwise it has been a great fridge. Could have been 5 stars if it weren’t for the crossroads I am at right now.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this unit in February of 2015 and the front control panel is delaminating. We have not used any chemicals to clean the unit other than mild soap and water. It is delaminating at the bottom of the control panel. If it delaminates more we will not be able to use the control panel.

I really like this refrig. and especially the double freezer drawers, so you don't have to hunt and peck to see what you want. The ice maker is fine for just the 2 of us; and since it comes with an ice bend to fill, there's plenty of ice if we plan ahead to fill it. One can see everything it the refrig with the great lighting. I use the wide drawer for meat as well as other things by putting my own plastic containers it it the divide it up. 2 things that do bug me are that the door in door portion has very shallow depth shelves on the wall. The shelf labeled for butter is soooo shallow that no butter dish will fit in it. Also on the left regular door, I find my Belle Maman jelly jars have to hang from the top of the rim of the shelf since they are wider than the shelf. Also I might add that no butter or egg dishes come with this refrig.

My husband and I searched and searched for a stainless steel refrigerator what would match the existing appliances and were so happy to find the LG. It is very roomy inside and the double freezer doors are very helpful in organizing short and long term storage. He LOVES the water dispenser and I LOVE the door in door feature!!! In the attached picture you can see that after only 4 days - it's already hard at work!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has mixed reviews in our home. Inside it is roomy and spacious. The cabinets and shelves are easy to remove and clean. The small door to get drinks is also a very nice feature. The freezer is big and holds more than our old side by side refrigerator did. But there are a few things we don’t like about the refrigerator. The stainless steel exterior shows every mark, smudge, or finger print and you constantly have to clean it, and even after that it doesn’t stay clean long. The ice machine jams and plugs up with ice constantly. Also, we’ve had multiple repair men come out (every year) to fix the ice machine, which seems to short out or rust. The compressor just went out and was replaced for half the cost of a new refrigerator 😒 We’ve been warned that this model only lasts about 10 years (on average) and ours is 9 1/2 years old 🙄

I love my refrigerator but just noticed my bottom freezer door is rusting. Only had this a few years. It's stainless, well so I thought...nothing magnetic sticks to the front of the fridge only the sides. I feel a refrigerator shouldn't rust, especially as much as it cost

My wife and I have been married for 49 years during those years we have relocated 9 times to different countries. We have experienced at least 10 different brands of European and US manufacturers. We purchased our LG SUPER-CAPACITY 4 DOOR FRENCH REFRIGERATOR WITH DOOR-IN-DOOR on April 2014. All my family members fell in love with the new refrigerator. My wife loved the extra capacity and the easy access to all shelves and freezer drawers. I loved the easy access to the drinks from the door in door feature as well as the speed of ice making. Our children and grandchildren loved the easy access to snacks from the 4 drawers as well as the door in door feature. It is super quite and looks great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve been having this fridge for five years but since we’ve had it it’s broken 3 times . It seems like all these new fridges don’t last very long. We got it repaired but I wish they could make them more durable

Compressor went out twice already. Hasn’t worked in about a year. Just a pile of trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator has a relate good exterior, whereas with a poor quality, do not cool/refrigeration for half year, with about 10+ maintains service, still not cooling, the LG can not fix their own product, my normal living are impact a lot, and even worse during the COVID-19, we can not storage too much food as only able to rely on my backup small refrigerator, and still pend LG to fix this issue, so much disappointed to the LG product.!

We purchased the refrigerator in 09/2014 and it quit working in dec. 2017. Stainless steel door started to rust. LG customer service is great documenting issues not resolving them. DO NOT BUY LG refrigerators.

This fridge is huge and fits anything you can throw at it. Still getting used to the new configuration (coming from a side by side, have to reorganize the freezer, but love that there is two separate freezer drawers and each has a divider to help keep things organized. Downside, not enough depth in the freezer to stand up a pizza box, have to lay flat.

Love the lighting & view of contents, as well as the 5 drawer system. Food keeps extremely well & the unit is very quiet.

Large capacity freezer drawers and refrigerator allows room for a lot of food. The lighting is fantastic. The "on the door" controls are conveniently located and easy to use.

I have this fridge for past 8 months and i just love its capacity and usability of the front door that fits 2 1 gallon milk cans. I think my fruits and vegetables stay good for longer time in this. glad i bought this one :)

This is a very quiet but large refrigerator. Illumination and temperature control is first rate. do note the two middle compartments in the refrigerator do require that both doors be opened to access the center or all across bins. The double freezer drawers do eliminate the dark caverns found in most deep drawer freezers. The only criticism I have is that while the ice dispenser is well lighted, there is no light above the water dispenser so overfilling the cup is very likely when relying on the refrigerator lighting alone at night. A rather surprising design flaw considering how impeccable the rest of the features are.

We just built a new home and have been using this frig for about 3 months and love everything about it. The size is great and the door in door feature is wonderful for the things that get used the most. I hardly ever open the main doors. It is very easy to find everything because of it large capacity in both the frig and the freezer. I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone.
