[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Lithonia Lighting 3" Nickel Gimbal Recessed lighting Kit to add lighting to one of my larger kitchen cabinets and it works great. It was easy to install and provides good amount of light in the cabinet. The bulb was included which was a plus because its so hard to shop for bulbs these days with everything taking a different kind so that made it an easier process. I like the size of light because since I was only going to use one I didnt want a huge bulky light in that space and this size worked out perfect for me. Now I'm thinking I may want to add lighting to my smaller closets as well with these lights.

These lights work as expected and are easy to install. I replaced 6, 40 watt fluorescent lights with 10 of these. Happy with the light output.

Overall easy to install and looks nice. However, one of the clips broke as i was installing and I had to find a rivet that would work in the tight space.

Installed 6 of these recently in a master bathroom and so far so good. Obviously from the photo, we are still working on the bathroom. 1 of out of the 6 retaining clips popped off the gimbals and needs to be fixed so I'm tempted to give it 4 stars, but we are overall pleased.

OMG these lights are absolutely beautiful I installed 8 of them in my kitchen. The decor looks absolutely wonderful with my new cabinets that are being installed.

I just had my electrian put them in, amazing difference in my living room.

Shopping at Home Depot can be challenging. Most of the time I can find what I'm looking for. I recently couldn't find these lights in the color I wanted, then went online and found them.

These lights look fantastic in my kitchen. They provide great lighting and where simple to install. I had no trouble installing even though i'm an amateur.

At first this worked very well. installation was tight given the strange size of the unit. The angle setting feature was great for installation over a stairwell. but then it failed about a year after the warranty expired. the mounting clips also break easily during uninstall.

Ok, I bought a total of 16 of these and installed them myself so I should be able to address all aspects. First off, the annoyances: - Yes, the clip is flimsy and I broke one. That was due to the fact I was trying to lift up on the clip instead of pull the door downwards. (It slips out, so "smarter, not harder"). - It is not IC rated, and while an electrician will tell you to install a baffle, technically I believe you can get away with clearing a 6" radius of insulation concentric with the 3" hole you drill for the can, which is what I did for each one. - The junction box is slightly bigger than a 3" hole will allow, so you must force it through vertically and score the drywall in the process. - It doesn't come with compression nuts for the romex wire, so you have to buy those separately. I recommend the traditional ones with locknuts, NOT the ones that say "time saver", as you have to hammer these in which is very difficult on these junction boxes due to the thin metal and geometry. - The light's baffle plate does not form a flush seal all the time. I would like to see a foam ring be included for each one so you can't see shadows or light underneath it. This is more of an issue with textured drywall, but something I've had other light fixtures come with. The good things: - 3000K is a good medium between too-warm 2700K and 5000K. 3500K might be slightly better, but I'm happy with them. - 25K hours on the bulb life. The description says 50K+, but the bulbs all say 25K, so...believe who you will. - Look much better in my small home than if I were to do full 6" recessed traditional lights - REPLACEABLE BULBS! I hate this trend of integrated LEDs in everything. This is just begging to p**s people off in 15-20 years when the entire fixture has to be replaced instead of a <$5 bulb change. - Relatively robust design for the cost. The formed sheet metal and rivets seem sturdy enough for the job. I didn't have anything break except the one clip, though the drywall clamps fell out as I was hammering the cans in a few times (they're easy to put back in). Some final notes: - I don't know if you can order these GU10 bulbs from Lithonia. I hope you can, because they have very specific characteristics and a very specific look that will otherwise force me to buy 16 replacements at once, rather than 1 at a time as they die. - Buy a 3" hole saw if you're doing more than 1 light. Just do it. It'll be a tight fit, but the tolerances on these are so low, it's worth saving the headache over doing drywall repair and repainting if you're off even slightly. Plus it's so much faster and safer if you're working on vaulted ceilings.

You do not carry the 3 inch hangers that are used for new construction. Now I have wait until the drywall is done and fish the wires from inside the drywall to complete the install. Very frustrating and a waste of my time.

We have 6 of the Lithonia light fixtures that was bought last year, one has to be replaced and that has not been done yet. Others have worked good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This recessed led light kit is really nice. It is well made and easy to install. The built in electrical box made it very simple to wire up. The instructions were accurate and straightforward. This light is quite an improvement from our previous fixture and it puts out a nice light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is for remodeling. It comes with a template for the hole you have to cut for installation. The entire assembly fits up through the cut. Very easy to install. Nice design and it even comes with the bulb.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LED recessed light has such a silk design. Since I already had a place cut out in my ceiling for a recess light it was so easy to install. It came in two parts. The main part that is wired and the light plate (probably not what it's called by what I call it). When the main part is installed in the ceiling the light plate just basically snaps on. The light can be turned straight down or tilted which ever way you need it. A little about attaching the light plate, you remove the red cap from where the wires attach to an adapter (also probably not what's it's called), get the light plate and insert it into the adapter and twist then snap to the fixture. It was pretty easy to install. The bulb was included in this kit. It has a 4.5W LED bulb in it. If your looking for a recessed light then these are a great choice. I recommend these lights to everyone looking to install recessed light.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a couple weeks ago and I am extremely happy about it. I am remodeling our living room and this light is the kind I was looking for. I am so glad this was easy to install. It comes with a tracer so you can trace out the right sized circle you need to fit it in. It was simple to connect it all too. I thought it would have been hard but it wasn't.

It was super easy to install and I would love to do this in a couple more rooms after seeing how good it looks. I was impressed with the decorative nickle trim and it has an LED bulb that is energy efficient. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 3" Nickel Gimbal Recessed LED Kit was fairly easy to install. The kit provides the stencil so it was easy to trace the cutout lines for the hole. I then used my saw to make the cutout. Connecting the wires was easy and then just insert the housing. Make sure to secure the housing and then trim. The instructions are easy to understand which is a plus. The LED bulb is included and is energy efficient. It puts out a lot of light. It is also dimmable which I love. This is a very nice recessed light and looks nice on my ceiling. The nickel finish looks great with my decor. I would recommend this product.
