We purchased the Tub for the jets available in the leg area and jets for lower back, also we didn't have room for a full size Jacuzzi tub. It was a straight forward install and aligned perfectly to the old existing tub drain. However it doesn't have all the bells and whistles the higher price units have it has done for us what we need, the wife has leg issues and since using this she can sleep thru the night no problem and it feels great on my lower back. For the money I would highly recommend this tub.

Universal Tubs Model # HD2653RBH I am just completing the installation of the tub and have not used it much but so far it will meet our needs. I installed it myself, except I did hire a plumber to do the plumbing. I had removed a garden tub and the -supply lines and drain had to be moved a few inches. I could have done this but the warranty calls for a qualified person to do the install. It called for a 15amp circuit for the electrical but I had a 20amp breaker free so I installed a 20amp ground fault outlet. I had wanted a single ground fault outlet but I did not find one so I installed a double 20amp ground fault. The double outlet was needed as there are 2 plugs for the tub which I did not know until it was plugged into the outlet. I did not want to plug into the electrical until the tub was filled with water because the switch is a push/push and I did not know if it was on or off. It was on and the switch for the jets/drain is confusing and the pump emptied about 8inches of water before I could get it shut off. The walls get wet when the tub is filled so a back splash is needed. I looked at many options and do not like tile which is the suggestion in the installation instructions. I had the 2 large mirrors and the wife wanted me to use them so I had a mirror cut to fill in the space at the end. The edges of the mirrors are sealed so that water cannot get behind the mirrors. I have had to do some floor tile work to fill in the area left by removing the large tub. I had to make a cabinet to enclose the end of the tub. A door was installed so that it is easy access to the supply lines and drain. I was surprised to find the tub has bubbles. The installation instructions are generic and are okay but the use instruction leaves a lot to be desired. Because I have done a lot of construction and building I was able to do most of the work myself. I got the tub on sale and so far I have gotten the tub installed for just under $4000 dollars.

Well constructed tub. The threshold is very low, so it's easy to get into it. The jets work very well, I would highly recommend it.

When I inspected the tub after home delivery, it was missing the main maintenance panel door on the side. Apparently lost somewhere before shipping. Called Home Depot Major Appliance Support and was told to "contact the supplier for a replacement." Convinced the rep that she had to do it on my behalf and ship a replacement part. Hoping for resolution and that I don't need to cancel payment on our credit card. Another concerning thing is, when I enter the order number on the Home Depot site for tracking, it doesn't show that it arrived on June 3. Says still in transit?????

The tub is on the small size, but we were expecting this size. If you want to stretch out, be sure to order a bigger tub. The set up for these tubs is very complex, fortunately we decided to build out a spa in part of our garage, so we did not have to deal with wall plumbing and are draining out to a drain field outside. So, it was easier for us. There were a few things that we are not super happy about with this tub. 1-Don't like the door coming into the tub versus out as it makes it tight to get in the tub and close the door. 2-The door latch has popped open several times while filling the tub, which makes a wet mess. 3-The drain does not attach to anything, rather sets into the tub so it is easy for it to get off center and pop out of position when it is open. 4-The fiberglass tub is not set onto the metal frame square so it does not sit evenly spaced from the wall and is impossible to get truly level. 5-The extension piece for the back of the tub is very flimsy, no instruction to set it up and the front piece does not align even with the back of the tub. 6-The drain area is set into the frame so that the pipe that connects to the quick drain is too tight and does not allow for perfect alignment when setting up and was a source of constant leaks. 7-The tub description says it has a "heater" but this not a real heater, but rather a "friction heater" that helps to keep the water warm versus heating the water or seat in the tub (found this out after calling the factory to ask where the buttons for the heater were for the tub).

Amazing, l love it , very relaxing

Door was too narrow for the homeowner and had to be returned. Delivery was disappointing since all they could do was either leave it the driveway or garage. Was disappointed Home Depot did NOT offer installation crew and was left to look for installation on my own. Next purchase will have to include an installation option or I will not purchase.

The extension panels does not fit properly. There is no flange on the short side of the extension panel that would be along the wall. The flange would protect the wall from water damage.

1. Meets expectations with easy walk in access, fast drainage, multiple nozzles for water message and relaxation from water color lights. 2. Ordered last month and installed yesterday. 3. Installation into normal bathtub location was difficult and more extensions needed to make it fit into opening. 4. Screws for adding the extension were missing and also the knob for the drain lever on top of the faucet was missing. Purchased screws for the extension but need to know how the knob can be replaced. Please reply by e-mail.

Wet test found one jet fitting was leaking. Drain strainer does not seal only using caulking. I had to get a gasket to go between strainer and tub none comes with kit. The drain kit is incomplete you have to purchase all straight pipe to go between fittings that are provided. Why not include all the straight pipe cut to the correct length ? Check valve for door drain was bad. Water streams out if using power drain. This was discovered after installation. I had to crimp off hose. I dont see that its needed anyway. Faucet kit did not include proper hoses to connect everything together. Hoses provided were too long ( 18 inches) and would crimp. Used the supplied hoses to connect to water supply and purchased others to connect the faucets together. Sent in registration to address supplied and was returned, something about being timed out ? Received very little help from customer service. Had to play e-mail tag with some tec. Easier just to fix it myself. There has been no follow up from Universal Tub. Instructions can be much better. Not one word on access panels. Not that hard to figure out but could have at least been mentioned. All and all not fun but hope the wife can make good use of it.

Tub is great. It arrive in good condition and held water when tested. The only flaw was the instructions. They were really poor.

Very disappointed in company. Tub came in damaged and 2 months later I'm still waiting for promised reimbursement for repairs. Also drain kit was not delivered with tub and had to wait almost another week for that. Worse part was I had called company upon purchase of tub to have tub Falange put on prior to delivery and that wasn't on tub upon delivery either. Spent countless time calling company and having to take pictures of all damages and missing parts and purchases. Just like damage reimbursement, I am still waiting for Falange reimbursement as well. Tub had 2 week installation delay because of all this. Drainage kit parts or cheaply made and after only 2 uses, the drain plug had to be redone because it no longer closed or opened, which is a problem since the water has to be out before you can open the door. Cheap parts and company can't seem to coordinate purchases and parts with their other departments. Tub nice, but company a hassle.

I have suffered chronic back pain for many years and have considered a Jacuzzi Tub for a long time. When this tub came up on sale I decided the time had come for me to take the big step. With installation costs, it was a very large investment but, after using, I feel that it was a very good investment. My ninety-one year old mother also loves it. Controls are very easy to use, even for a person with limited use of hands. Jets have strong pressure which is a definite positive for this type of apparatus. Very satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend.

I purchased this tub for therapeutic reasons and cleansing purpose for my mother who had a stroke . It was a great choice for both of use ... The ease of her being able to remain independent when it came to bathing and it was even helped with mobility & arthritis . I've even found it to be beneficial for myself ... I suffer from back pain due to lumbar surgery and the jets provide a massaging effect that I truly enjoy !! Installation was quick and easy ... An amenity that provides a wow factor !!!

I purchased this tub for my wife who recently had a stroke and couldn't access a standard bath. This is the first place she visits each day for her massage and bath.

The product is well made but on the small side for entry. If you are a lage framed individual you will find it difficult to enter ans close the door. Otherwise it works great

This tub was a good buy compared to a similar one from another company that sold for almost $8,000. This tub comes with a in-line heater and expansion kit (not mentioned in specifications).
