Never had a socket blow apart like this
Now I’ve got a nice bruise to remind me of Husky’s poor quality

These are not designed or intended to be used on an impact driver which appears to be the cause of the torsion shear. It is a general industry rule that chrome tools should not be used on impact drivers. This often causes catastrophic failures that can be dangerous to users and bystanders. HuskyMHT
needed to break a rusted screw.. worked like a charm. Lifetime warranty!!

    Not actually a 7mm
I bought the 7mm allen socket today to do the brakes on my wife's car. Even though the package is labeled 7mm it's actually a 1/4" hex. That's what it mic's to and what it stamped on the shaft (I didn't notice the stamping until after I tried to use it). Very disappointed!!

LesR, Sounds like this could have been a manufactuing mistake if the wrong Hex stock was pressed into the socket base. Please give us a call at 1-888-HD-Husky, (option2) and we will get you the correct socket shipped out to you. HuskyMHT
Cheap materials used to produce this item
Used this 1st time for about 20 screws and the tip just shattered. Total junk

Adzac, we never like to hear a user having issues with our products. Please note that these bits are made of S2 steel and not designed to be used with impact guns or power drills. The catastrophic failure you are describing is often due to impact use. HuskyMHT

        8mm hex worked great
Needed 8mm hex to remove the belt tensioner bolt on 2006 Honda Civic. Videos showed this bolt being the hardest one and 2 were broken using an impact wrench in one video. I used this socket, a 3/8" flex joint, a 3/8" to 1/2" adapter, and a 24" breaker bar. With slow and steady pressure and after having put some penetrant on it the night before, this did the trick without breaking the socket or the bolt. I was probably applying 30-35 lbs force at 24", or close to 60-70 ft/lbs. That's pretty harsh for any 3/8" socket. Nice chrome finish, good strength. For $2.27, I give it three thumbs up.

Defective item. The hex end broke in two the first time I used it on a basic repair in my home.

Used it to remove over 100 rusted torx and install about 120 new self taping torx bolts in a trailer bed. It looks almost as good as new. When I first started the project of replacing the floor of my trailer I busted another manufacturers torx bit on the forth bolt so I was glad the Husky bit held up so well. And now I understand how Home Depot can provide a lifetime warranty on these torx bit sockets.

snapped and stuck in my face
This was the second t55 Husky socket I broke today. Unfortunately, this time it snapped into a sharp shard that lodged into my cheek. This is not only a terrible tool, it is dangerous. Never again will I buy this garbage.

I use this type drive socket for jobs that require a bit more direct torque than a regular removal, or when I am just doing a lot of just same screw type. [ The bit stays in] This will not last forever if you use it a lot, but you will get all your money's worth for the price paid. Every body who considers themselves a decent handyman will have the most common sizes in their tool box. I got it as a replacement. And i would buy it again

T30 bit top of bit to socket face 13/32 deep (reach of bit until you contact face of socket) then add length socket length. Bit does not come out of socket. 3/8 drive. Quality is on par with all the others out there. Not marked on tool, but made in China like most everything else. Good value for the price.

            Nice little bit
This little T25 bit worked perfectly with my impact driver and adapter (to fit onto a 1/2 in. driver). I work with torx screws a lot and this drive pattern or square grip the best, while phillips bits typically strip or break easy due to their design, which is why the former are preferred in concrete, decking, and other high strength applications, especially when working with impact tools. Torx are also commonly found on some cars and motorsports vehicles; it's one of those things you never know you'll need until you get there. I have never seen a torx bit break before, and am not expecting to either. I was able to put 4 inch decking screws through lumber without any wear or stripping on the bit. Husky is a good brand, and even though the quality might cost you a little more, it's worth it. . . imagine being on a job and having the bit break on you and not having any extras laying around. I have had this happen with drill bits and philips bits, and it really sucks when you have to run to the store for a stupid little thing that's holding back your project and having guys wait on you.

heavy duty Philips 3/8 in. Drive Bit Sockets (3 total bits)
Nice to have 3 total bits of Philips 3/8 in. drive bit sockets on hand to use for my DIY projects at my home. They are for use with 3/8 in. drive tools. nice to have 3 different sizes to grab to fit the size to screw for different sizes. Individual Socket Also, for quick and easy placement to those fasteners and drive tools. They feel heavy & heavy duty.

Flimsier than any tool I've ever seen
Low price is not value if a product is not fit for its intended purpose. Needed to remove seat belts to take out rear interior panel in a Ford truck. At first attempt this bit broke leaving a piece stuck in the bolt's head. Thankfully Dremel saved the day and I got it out but complicated a simple job. Keep in mind I'm no big strong man: 50 years old woman, with artritis and a 24" ratchet. Had to wait until next day to buy from Snap On: bit worked like a charm (bolt was fine, not rusted, perfect thread). Brittle like no tool I've ever used.

I needed it to switch out my seat belts in a 1994 truck. It fit snuggly and never gave sighs of popping out of the bolt.
