These water pressure regulators last a long long time. If the inside parts wear out after 15-20 years, you can buy the kit and replace them in 10 minutes or less. I use them in my rentals.

Did realize how bad my existing valve was. Just finished install and better performing than my old one. Was concerned because a few other reviews said they had one fail... I'll update if mine does... But out of the box... happy I finally replaced my old one.

Pretty easy to install not being a plumber. BUT, you must have play in the pipes because you have to put the washer in between the inlet and the inlet seat properly or it will not seal. Mine is wide open against an unfinished wall. I had to loosen the nail in horizontal feed pipe strap above so I could push up on the vertical pipe the outlet was attached to (make sure you always re-tighten or it could vibrate, even silently and cause damage over time. My uncle was a plumber). You may need a plumber If the space it too tight and you cannot get it to give a enough. It's worth the money not destroying things you may not know how to fix. MAKE sure to use the white plumbers tape for the outlet and the seat (the round brass fitting the inlet sits on), for the inlet at the bottom if you do it yourself. I like the fact that the closed pressure is about 50 PSI and when I opened the faucets, etc. it stayed at a stable 40 PSI so there isn't lots of variance. The old one was all over the place and whined constantly, no more of that. I set mine to 53 PSI because of distance and number of outlets in the house. The output is from 40 PSI lots of water running to 43 PSI one faucet on which is safe enough for the appliances. It's worth the money if you can do it yourself.

Regulator installed easy on the first shot with with no leaks or leak-by. I was hesitant about the cheaper models with performance and leak issues according to reviews. This one is rebuildable and includes a removable strainer. Upon taking all of the regulators out of their boxes at the store, the overall quality looked better on this model than the others on the shelf. This also has a union on one end and uses female pipe threads which makes future removal and re-install easy.

The assistance I received in the North Hollywood location was perfect. I was handed the correct replacement pressure regulator. The necessary parts and instructions were complete and the job went perfectly. The unit was preset to 50 pounds. I left the pressure gauge monitoring for 24 hours and the new unit held a constant 50 pounds. l love it. WILKINS 600 LEAD FREE

I have bought several recently because myself and several neighbors have the same make and model (but 20+ years old), which have now failed and needs replacement. The ones I purchased at your store has the best price (I bought 3 so far and plan to buy at least 2 more in the near future) = $ 900 I can not yet give an honest appraisal

Always used this regulator on our house, second one since 1986, lasts long time considering our cruddy water! Would buy again.

Rip off way overpriced and expensive!!!

This one was more than double the cost of the Watts regulator but appears to be better quality with no plastic parts.

Great Pressure Regulator. I had to replace an old Wilkins Model 70, as the rebuild kit couldn't be used. The old parts were too rusted. I bought this late one evening. I had to cut off 3/4" and resolder a copper pipe joint. installation was fairly easy. I checked the pressure and this one had reduced it down to 35 psi. I adjusted it to 50psi, and everything was good to go. The 600XL has access to both sides, so doing a rebuild should be easy.

Works perfectly, only advise I have is to make sure you have all hardware that is included!

Needed to replace our PRV that failed and this was the same model. Simple installation and adjustment.

Works like a charm, replaced an identical one that was pushing 30 years old. That was still working, but I needed to replace the meter assembly, and it didn't make sense to leave the old one.
