Although this hose has a 3/4" diameter throughout its length, that potential benefit is totally negated by the hose-end fittings, one of which has a 5/8" ID and the other (believe it or not) has a 1/2" ID!!!. That restrictive fitting reduces the area by more than half from .4418 square inches to .1964 square inches. So even though the hose itself has a 3/4" dia, it is little better than cheap 1/2" dia hose. I consider this an inexcusable design flaw. I recommend going with an alternative 3/4" hose. Perhaps the Gilmour 10 Series 8 Ply Flexogen Hose (which I also own). It is more rigid than the Mean Green hose so it doesn't lay as flat on the ground right out of the box. But it does have 3/4" dia end fittings. I bought it at Amazon for $27.99 ("Amazon Prime" eligible).

The hose diameter and length is perfect for watering trees in our side yard.
