Seems to be comparable build quality as OEM. Wire insulation is smaller than OEM but wire gauge is the same 16 AWG. You do have to add spade connectors to motor wires if required for your application. I cut the frame bolts down for fan clearance. Motor does have ability to reverse direction from CCW to CW depending on your fan orientation. Instructions are on wire harness and connectors as seen on picture. Easy two wire reverse polarity using spade connectors. Very happy with shipping speed. Shipped from So CA location to So CA so received in two days via UPS.

Was getting the run around with a local AC guy that started with a low price then tried to up the price and give me a 'good deal' on a new AC/furnace. A few hours of work to install the motor saved me 600+ dollars. Don't fall for the trap when they say it is time to replace the AC and you don't want to keep putting money into an old one. That is a standard tactic and don't fall for it. Have them come out and get an evaluation as to what is wrong, then determine if you want to have it fixed by them. With a little courage and internet videos, you can almost do anything....

It seemed to do what was needed. I only purchased it. A family member did a bit of a tweak and put the item in our heating unit. Now we have heat again ! Huzzah

Yes, Worked perfectly. Had to change the polarity of the motor spin direction. Easy wire switching. Added an additional 1/4 HP without increasing the amperage. Runs quietly.

Worked great. Note: rotation is determined by facing shaft away from you. Used to replace 1/3hp motor on home depot's 36" belt drive whole house fan. This motor was about the same price and more powerful than the original motor. The motor looks well constructed and is quiet. Wiring was a little tricky, but the installation was not too hard and the fan is very quiet now. I like the reversible feature. Note, go by drawing on motor.

So far so good, installed the new motor and capacitor and everything is working as it's supposed to. This was significantly less in cost and received great reviews, of which I too can now give it high marks. If this meets your spec requirements I would certainly recommend it along with the replacement capacitor.

Fantastic inexpensive drop in replacement for my blower fan (goes inside the squirrel cage). It would cost you about $400 to have a professional do this. It's a few color coded wires and a set screw!

This motor was $125 less than the exact replacement motor from the OEM. It has been used a lot over the past few weeks. The insulation on the wires is noticeably thinner than on the 26 year old OEM motor, but otherwise it has performed as expected. Home Depot had free ship-to-store. That took about a week.

I bought the motor to replace the 30 yr old GE blower motor in my furnace. It worked fine. I did need to cut off the long screw ends coming out of the shaft side of the motor. The motor came with a bag of metal rings - I don't know what they might be used for. They were of no use to me.

A universal 3/4 HP, multi speed motor that will work in many HVAC applications. This motor will save the installer at least 50% (in $$)over the comparable OEM style motor. This motor can be installed by a DIYer provided he/she has the required tools, For example, the installer will likely need a HVAC fan puller. DIYer must be able to read a schematic in order to orient the wiring correctly.

old HVAC blower motor started to sound like a an airplane in the basement. searched the net and stumbled on Home Depot selling these motors for a fraction of the cost! received promptly, installed and wired easily. all I hear is the air the cage is producing. durability is TBD based on performance. I do think it has a warranty from manf for year+. bought the suggested capacitor as well.

Ordered a blower motor for my heating system. Been installed for about a month. Been working good and quiet. Will need more time to see if it has any problems in durability. But, so far it is doing the job it was designed for very well. I hope it continues to do so...
