This elevated garden bed is amazing. UPS delivered it to the house and almost didn't want to put it together. The cedar smelled so good. I opened the box and and the cedar was still slightly damp. This elevated garden bed was fresh! Forest to backyard! Packaging was nice, instructions were spot on, and it truly is "no tools necessary". IKEA watch out! I put this together in about 10 minutes. All pieces fit with precision. If it wasn't so pricey; I would get another. I can't say enough good about it.

I love this planter! I am NOT at all handy and was able to put this together very quickly. It is the perfect height to be able to closely examine the plants and watch their growth. What a joy to not have to bend down to water the plants. I am sure I will be buying more as time goes on.

Assembly was so easy. Needed a raised garden for 2 reasons. 1. Wooded area behind my house so we have no shortage of critters that would destroy the garden. 2. Both knees replaced so I am unable to kneel down to plant a garden. This is the perfect height.

We set up our two Gronomics 24X48x32 two weeks ago. We added the raised bed potting soil from Home Depot. The veggies have been added; tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, beets, etc. and all seem to be happy with their new home. The beds were very easy to assemble, just as advertised. The appearance makes our new garden the envy on everyone that has seem them. The raised beds prevent our dogs from trampling the young veggies. Having the beds 32 inches off the ground makes planting and weeding a breeze that our backs appreciate. This product is highly recommended.

Arrived earlier than expected via UPS delivery. The product was very easy to assemble. After adding gardening soil, peat and fish fertilizer, my Brussels sprouts, cucumbers, red leaf romaine lettuce, and herbs are doing great. I was extremely surprised that watering every other day gives great results. It is so much easier to garden while standing up. Great product especially for those with hip, knee, and back problems.

I wanted a very useful raised garden bed and this one is perfect. A great size for small area. I also bought the oil with the garden bed, which was a great addition, plus it has a wonderful cedar smell which permeated my whole back yard.

Love it!
Super easy to assemble; no tools required. It is a lot less work than planting in the ground, easy to maintain the garden and much easier to water. Might even buy another one next year. Very pleased with this product.

Beautiful elevated gardens!
We ordered 2 of these gardens to use in our Senior Center garden project. They were received in good time and were easily assembled by our senior patrons and staff. Because these are designed to stand in place where they are built and filled, our staff built a simple platform with casters to enable them to be moved as needed. Our patrons have taken over the maintenance of the gardens now.

Functional and great looking addition to our new redwood deck.
Simple to assemble with no tools or genius needed. I put together two garden bed boxes with my 5 year old grandson in 30 minutes - no slivers or smashed fingers at all! Another plus is the waist high planting box makes it so much easier to plant and maintain the flowers - no bending over.

Great value for the price!!
I have four of these, three that I installed last summer, and one installed today. In looking for affordable and attractive raised beds appropriate for a roof deck (ie, not directly on the ground), my options were limited by price and time available to build something from scratch. These fit the bill. All in all, I adore these beds. They work great for my little NYC urban garden: Affordable. Attractive. Quick to assemble. Minimal weeds. No bending down. A modicum of privacy, especially when planting climbing veg. Not only do I love these beds, but I get tons of compliments. They really look great... And you can't beat the price. Regarding ease, today I set one up by myself (single female) in under 10 minutes, 15 if you count adding potting soil and compost. The only tool you *need* is a staple gun for the landscape fabric, but I would highly recommend gloves. Speaking of which... Some caveats: these are unfinished, so expect some pretty hairy splinters and a fair bit of weathering over time. I had several half-inch long splinters today after assembly - the side boards are super rough hewn. I'm sure I had even more splinters last year. That said, the latter "issue" of weathering is a *good* thing, because these come with some pretty significant color variations between pieces. If you are OCD like me, this will drive you crazy. The first time I bought these, I was able to mix and match between sets and got close enough to something that I could live with on each of them... But it took time and drove me nuts. Today that wasn't an option, obviously, but I accepted it knowing they would eventually weather. I also hid the worst pieces on the back, against my balcony railing (which is also where I hid the "logo" piece on all of them). All of this is to say: if you are a perfectionist, maybe go with a pricier product. Another caveat: once assembled and full of soil, these are a beast to move. I did it by myself yesterday, but they were heavy and the slats really wanted to come apart. Because they come together like Lincoln Logs, you can't really lift them without them falling apart. You only have two options: lift by the legs (if you have a partner) or do the wiggle dance inch by inch. I did the latter. Trust me, patience is key. How are they faring? After 7 months, the first three are holding up well, though they are pretty weathered (again, a good thing color-wise), and there are a few small cracks in the harder, more "finished" wood pieces - the legs and the caps. Most of the color variations are no longer noticeable. I don't think the cracks make anything structurally unsound, but I wonder if there is a way to protect them... I suppose you could sand everything down and tung oil it, but then why not buy the Gronomics beds that have that already done? Time vs. cost would probably even out there. If you are wondering about their shallow depth, as I was, note that I have grown tomatoes, peppers, and cucs in them successfully - as well as a ton of greens and herbs. Depth has not been an issue thus far. I have had minimal (read: nearly non-existent) weeds... but have had some pretty bad issues with pests. They won't save you from cabbage worms or aphids. One last thing, a miracle if you will... I ordered my fourth bed YESTERDAY with an expected delivery date next Thursday, but it arrived today. As in overnight. It was joyous. So - if you are cheap but discerning like me, buy these. And buy them from Home Depot. I haven't found them anywhere else cheaper, and trust me, I looked. They are fab... You won't regret it.

Extremely dissapointed
My mom has a very similar planter that i've always loved. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I looked online at all of the major stores and found this one. The reviews were great and the product looked nice. The product shipped fairly fast, about 6 days. I was happy with the boxing. After pulling out the boards, I was immediately dissapointed with the quality of wood. I had several, very large gouges in the wood. It wouldn't have been one thing if the wood was damaged it shipping, but it wasn't, and the form inside said the wood was inspect 7/27 by JB. I'm not sure how it passed QA. Anyways, it's a very simple install. I don't understand how a "box" install could leave such a wobbly structure, but I can't even lift this thing up without it falling apart. The color isn't what I expected either. The good news is that is smells great. That's all I can say that is nice about this product. The wood qualify of my unit is a horrible. I haven't seen that mentioned below. Maybe gronomics is using new, cheaper quality wood now to make more of a profit.

quick setup and is working well so far.
I quickly set this up without any tools or problems. You want to try and put it together fairly close to where you will put it as it is somewhat difficult to move with the movement of the pieces once put together. I planted a garden in there and the plants have taken off even with my brown thumb! We never would have been able to do this otherwise as the dogs usually dig it up or run laps on other plantings in the ground.

Works as well as any non-standing raised bed.
I have three total. Easy to assemble. Solid / thick gauge boards. Keeps weeding to a bare minimum. May need a step stool for plants like pole beans and cucumbers, but a solid trade off compared to the spatial remedy it provides for small outdoor spaces. Not to mention it pays for itself in produce after a solid growing season.

Nice Looking - Easy to Assemble
I bought this to put in a greenhouse. It is the center piece of the area. Looks great and the redwood smells nice. Took all of five minutes to assemble. Holds four yards of soil. Planted a bunch of lettuce in it. Only negative is the price.

Was easy to put together but was a little “wobbly” so I reinforced with some screws and L brackets and it’s great. I also added wheels so I can move it more easily. Now if only the tomato plants would yield some tomatoes.
