Good shovel, wider than other narrow spades and the bucket starts to approach a flat head shovel. I used this to clear grass for a new garden area and it performed as expected, flawlessly, without feeling cheaply made or pieces coming loose. A good solid American made product I recommend.

We used the spade to dig up a straight line on our walkway. Then, we planted some ground cover to make for a beautiful front yard!

Spade shovel works very well for forming landscape boxes

Appears well designed. The plastic handle might present issues in cold weather, but generally use in those conditions is limited.

This shovel is just the right size for me and the task I needed to do. Solid, strong but not too heavy. I’m glad I bought it.

The Ames 24 in. wood handle garden spade is the only shovel I use in ALL aspects of landscaping when a shovel is required, the perfect tool when filed to razor sharpness(that is NO joke)

Shovel not sharp. I had to sharpen with an angle grinder. It also did not seem as strong as a much older tempered shovel I had from my dad.
