Works great compacts twice as many leaves in the grass catcher. It is also easy to assemble.

I bought this item in the fall of 2016 and used it the entire season. I am not the most handy person, so installation was a little difficult. The instructions for installation seemed to be written by someone who missed out on MIT. Once I figured it out it seemed obvious and should have been much easier with better directions. The product itself exceeded expectations. It is solid steel and well built; just like all ariens products. The unit substantially reduced the volume of the leaves and allowed me to empty the mower bag fewer times and get more waste in my bin. This is a very well built and highly functioning product that I would highly recommend.

This shredder works great, turning your lawn mower into a leaf vac. Installation requires mechanical skill, and one of the "floating" clips required cutting one web in the screen to properly position. Once installed this has worked great for me, reducing volume of leaf material and number of times you have to dump the bag just as they claim. Great time saver for fall cleanups.
