I really loved it. Is perfect for my small mantel, I was not sure if it would be too small, but at the end it seems like its custom made... perfect for each other. The “Sound” its weird in a way... like static, but i really dnt mind.

I was so glad to find this unit because i didnt need, or want to pay for, the heat option. The unit is very lightweight, but has a very realistic iron and wood look. Installation was simple. The glow is very realistic. I do agree with other reviewers that the sounds are completely unrealistic and far too loud on both the low and high settings. It sounds like lightening and gunshots leading me to believe the mfr has never heard a real fire! That was a little disappointing. As is the fact you cannot leave the unit in the on position for use with voice assistants. Alexa will turn the unit off but the switch needs to be physically activated again to turn it on. Also disappointing because i have a heavy metal screen i have to move every time i want to turn it on. A toggle switch would be better than the button. It was nice that the unit is identical front and back as the jack socket on the bottom is set to one side. Overall i’m happy with the unit because all i wanted was the appearance of a fire (well, glowing logs at least) and thats what i got. One star deduction for the horrible sound and power button you cant keep activated.

Purchased for my fake Christmas themed fireplace. Fits perfectly. Looks amazing, family & friends thought it was real fire & logs. Great value. Crackle sound is okay.

Price is great, shipping was satifactory, quality is good for the price. NOW - Let's start by saying - if you want a totally real looking and sounding fire, go get some wood, kindling, paper, matches and then be prepared to clean up the mess! I don't want to do that anymore and I'm really picky according to my friends and family. SO...I purchased this for my double sided fireplace just for the ambiance. With a little creativity and originality these electric logs work just fine. (as you will see in my pics) The sound can be made tolerable with some cardboard work under the speaker (or you don't have to turn it on). It does need to be a little brighter IMO, so I added an LED night light inside and a small string of red LED's underneath the base. Throw in some small pieces of wood and lava rock at the bottom to look like clinkers and you'll be pretty darned impressed - I was. The original unit actually draws only 7 watts and I added about 4 watts. I have to laugh when they stress in the manual that this unit creates heat and draws 1350 watts (it's not a heater and it doesn't get warm at all). Hopefully this review answers a lot of your questions.....enjoy the pics.

These logs look realistic. I needed something to put in a non-functioning fireplace. These logs are perfect. I don't use the sound feature. I didn't want sounds. They are unrealistic anyway. The price was very reasonable and I am well pleased.

Looks good! Very cozy feel. I also put real logs in the fire rack along with this and amber christmas lights that twinkle. It looks real nice. The crackling sound is a little loud though. I mostly turn off the sound

It's a plug and play item that gives all the look and feel of a real fire place, and not having heat allows it to operate for pennies on the dollar, and meets my expectations.

Just received mine and really like it. Did not need a heater and unit does not come with a heater. There is no flame effect, only glowing ember effect that increases and decreases in different parts of the logs. One of the other reviews said it wasn't bright enough, which I agree with, so I put a string of red led christmas lights rolled up underneath the unit that gives the entire fireplace a warm red glow (see attached photo). The crackling sound effects is a separate power button that you can turn off while the glowing embers effect is on (two separate switches) which is good because the sound is ridiculously annoying

I really thought it was also heated and had already thrown the box away so I figured I could not exchange it for another one.

This one fits perfect in my fireplace. It looks nice. It looks like real logs burning and it throws off enough heat to warm my room.

The product is very well made in almost every way. The one exception I will say is the "crackling" noise. It's simply too loud and unnatural sounding. There is 2 levels of sound. The loud is insane and the lower volume isn't good either. It sounds like extreme popcorn popping but with metal kernels! Weird. They need to work on that.

Well, I returned it because the sound scared my cat and the flame was lame, love Home Depot though and that the founder donated $ to med students at NYU

I really like the look of these logs. It was hard to find one with no heat so I was happy to find these. The 2 things I don't like is the crackling sounds are VERY loud and fake Like crews in a tin can. So I just don't use that. And I wish there was a remote. I have had it about 3 weeks and I use it often. It's very pretty.

30 miles one way to store. Unit arrived with a broken piece so I fixed it and unit looks good in fireplace. Sound is annoying so I don’t use that feature. Glowing is alright. On line customer service was terrible so I went to store to order it.

I like it looks very nice and natural .. uhm not to crazy about the sound, but over all I like it. Wanted something for looks is cozy

I am very glad I found your product, I have been looking for something like it for several years. I have a see-thru fireplace that dominates the center of the house, but is very rarely used. The log set allows me to have the visual affect without the headache of using wood or gas. It creates a very nice atmosphere with the simple push of a button and should I ever need to use the fireplace for heating purposes, it's very easy to remove...

As advertised love it looks real
