We recently remodeled our kitchen and chose the Pietra quartz counter top. We also put these counter tops in our bathrooms. We love them! It is a mixture of sparkle, grey, and the veining does have a dark blue tint to it. I wanted something that was quartz, but had the look of granite. Hope these pics help someone who is wanting to see a bigger sample. We had a great experience with install! 5 stars!

This is absolutely beautiful. IT IS NOT BLUE. It is a gray, with white swirls, and sparkles. It is not actually translucent but it has depth. I just had it installed today and I love it. I cannot wait until the rest of the kitchen is finished.

Installed 11/7/19. Couldn't be happier! Such beautiful, multi-dimensional color. The name says it all! It looks exactly like an ocean storm or maybe even a night sky through a telescope. Blue? Grey? Definitely more grey, but it doesn't matter to us- thats how beautiful these countertops are. They look dark grey to me, but sometimes depending on the lighting & time of day, I could see where someone could see some blue, but a very whimsical, mysterious, deep ocean-stormy, dark blue-ish grey. I attached a photo with three different degrees of lighting warmth. I especially love the flecks of silver sparkle in it. I jokingly told the installer, "I bet they sell a lot more Ocean Storm after I post these beautiful pictures." I'm in love! What we did- We did not base our decision on the thin, translucent sample we bought or the lighting in the store. We got the sample, covered the back with something dark to enhance the depth of color to make it more like the thicker sample, and compared it to the lighting and other colors we have in our own kitchen to see if it was right for us. We took the sample to the store and held it up against the displays of our appliances, cabinets, and flooring to make sure it worked for us. We even visited the supplier after we paid to make sure we loved it. Someone might tell you becasue its man-made, its more consistent than granite or marble, and doesn't require a trip to view the slabs. If it makes you feel better to go, then go! HOme Dept recommended visiting, so we did, and it gave me a lot of piece of mind. We can't imagine anything else in our kitchen. (My previouse review was only rearding the thin-ness of the sample, not the actual countertops.)

Looks great, very palace-like feeling

My countertops were just installed and I LOVE them. They are not blue. I looked at the slabs when they came in at the fabricator just to confirm that based on the postings here. I emailed customer service as Cosentino and they said they were grey and also said that they recommend a slab inspection. If you decide to go with these, then do the inspection. Just takes a bit of time. Don't let the contractor tell you that you don't have to do that. The mfg recommends it, so it is your right to do it. The larger, actual thickness sample they had in the store was a very good representation. The small piece they give you is woefully not-representative....far more brownish than the real deal. I took the thin piece and put black paper on the back to mimic a thicker piece and that was pretty close. I have attached a photo of a close up (the picture on-line is terrible) and my actual kitchen. The walls in my kitchen (except where the old backsplash was) are a true medium grey. Appliances are regular stainless steel. These are not blue.

I originally ordered the Marengo color Silestone. When it was installed, it had black blotches and streaks all over it. After some back and forth with the manufacturer, they agreed to replace it. The Marengo was very dark, almost black. I asked if I could switch the color to another in the same group, since they were replacing all of it anyways, and they agreed. I chose Grey Expo, sight unseen. I'm so so happy with the decision. The Grey Expo is gorgeous. It looks close to as good as some of the medium grays that are much much more expensive. It's warm but definitely grey. You don't see much variation (less than the pictures of it shown here). It looks like almost solid cement. I've had my Grey Expo counters for about 4 years now and they are still perfect. No stains or discoloration.

This Grey Expo is beautiful color. it's not too bright and not too dark. It was perfect for our new countertop in the kitchen.

Did not receive an actual sample, but a printed image on a piece of foam! Pointless and disappointing.

Excellent coloring . . . My favorite for my future bathroom counters

I spent $30 thinking I was going to get an actual sample of the product. What I got was a cardboard picture. I tried to return them at a HD store, but they said they couldn't refund the purchase.

I got exactly what I ordered, on time and service for pickup is great. However, the product itself makes it difficult to pick a countertop material from a tiny little block. Matching with paint and backsplash is difficult with a tiny little piece. I wish there were more options.

I tend to be conservative with colors for countertops and this was absolutely perfect. It has style and blends with anything you put with it. Installed 2019 and still love it in fact I’m going to get it again in a renovation. I’m so excited that’s it’s still available. People compliment me on it all the time. My realtor said this is absolutely fantastic kitchen

This was supposed to be a quartz sample much larger and it was just a paper sample that I could have gotten in the store for free. Very disappointed.

too small and detail disappointing

Color and material of sample were accurate and helpful for our other design selections. Arrived quickly. Giving this 4 stars only because the sample size was as advertised, but is very small relative to its cost (we paid $7.50 for 8 square inches).

I've seen this product as a representative sample in the Home Depot near me, which is the physical product and a good representation. I really wanted to see it against the colors of my cabinets and floors at home in the natural light. It is understood this is a sample and isn't representing the naturally occuring differences between slabs, however... The sample received when purchased is literally a photo print on Styrofoam and does not begin to describe the actual product. It's such a shame.

I really liked it. In fact, I'm fairly sure, this is the color I'll be using when I ultimately do my kitchen reno and put in a countertop.

Happy I ordered a sample to “test” before I considered it as a serious option. Every little scratch shows.

This soft gray white stone is with its darker random patterns is beautiful and easy on the eyes. This silestone is a thick, hard durable surface. This silestone is shiny not the usual ugly painfully dull matte colored silestone.

I cannot speak on the size of the sample but the installed countertops are beautiful!

The actual product really doesn’t look like the web picture. Buy a sample. It’s beautiful.

I've had mine 2 years now. I love them. My kitchen has lots of ceiling lighting so they appear lighter in photos.

My favorite, but not the actual quartz material. Instead it was a print on hardboard, which was disappointing. Fortunatly, I saw the actual quartz piece in the store.

The sample we got from the store had significant gold/yellow streaking in it. what we received was not like the sample. Will we live with it? yes. will we ever ask home depot to do anything else for us? NO! we bought the tops on 3/8/20. they were installed 6/1/20..now I get covid and all that jazz but we did not have a kitchen for 3 months! we called and left messages with the person we were working with with no return call, NONE! very disappointed all around with the lack of communication. I would still appreciate a return call on this but am not holding my breath (Erie, PA). Once the appointment was made the company called us to set a date. a week before the date they called and rescheduled for whatever reason...now tou get me nitpicking the install because I went without a kitchen for three months. the guys who did it are SUBCONTRACTED from the company you told me would be installing my tops. There is alot of flex in the back splash where the pieces were joined while still too long. my sink faucet has to be off point to accommodate the flex and hole position. I really feel a bit more up front honestly on home depot's end would allow a consumer to make a more educated decision.
