The valve worked fine without any problems. My concern is it’s built just like the previous one and that’s with flapper type valve. Which only has two small points that the flapper mounts to. I would have preferred the plunger type in a cage.

Failed after a few years. Flapper has white abs disk/weight attached internally and connection to that failed leaving hole in flapper. Pump cycled for days before anyone noticed. (now looking at over $1000 in pump replacement costs). Will go with different brand next time.

Originally I thought this check valve was the best out there. Easy to install and hefty design For the price it should last right? Wrong! The flapper inside failed. It flaps back and forth on a thin piece of rubber that acts as a hinge. The "hinge" failed and the flapper got jammed flat against the top side and the pump kept trying to pump. Lasted less than a year. Never again

I am sorry for your inconvenience. Having sold this style of check valve for a number of years with great success I found your experience troubling. So I just went and grabbed one out of inventory. The unit uses a plastic wafer check. And although it is attached with rubber, the range of motion is so limited that it should not crease. So i would respectfully suggest you look at your installation and make sure the check valve is installed a few feet down steam of the pump, There circumstances you describe in your experience a commonly associate with a check valve being installed to close to the discharge of the volute. When this is the case the swing check can often get ripped off by the force of the pump or suffer damage due to chattering. We accept your criticism and thank you for it and are only offering you this suggestion in the interest of helping.

Good flow and excellent fit on the pipe
It does the work, and fits very well on the PVC pipe allowing quick dis-assembly in case I need access to the sewer pump that it's connected to
