I use this type of shelving in my garage & I wanted to adjust some of them to make them closer together. I therefore had to buy more steel beam's to accomplish this. I love these shelves, they are very strong.

Sturdy beam for making a solid rack. Very happy with our purchase. We use this in a manufacturing business with bins on top.

These rails are very easy to install and fit very snugly. It is almost impossible to move them once the whole system is put together. I did not know it at the time, but the shelves need to have a tie bar ordered and installed with them to keep them from rolling outward when weight is applied. The part number is ERT 24, ERT 36, etc depending on how deep your frame is. The rails are supposed to come with plastic pins to keep the shelves from popping up, but there weren't enough shipped with them for all of my rails, so we installed 1/4" bolts. I also don't know why, but when the rails are installed, it tends to twist the frame and make them out of square. That makes the shelving hard to install. We had to force the shelves in while two guys twisted the frame into square and then tie strap them down. Now that the tie bars are installed, the rails don't rotate, and look much safer.

These beams were purchased to add on to the end of an existing store bought shelving unit (same brand). They fit great and matched perfectly.

These racks, and shelves, are great! We have a 5,000 sq ft warehouse that has lots of pallet racks throughout. However, sometimes the pallet racks are too large/too overkill for what we need to store. That is where the Edsal units came in to play. They are excellent for storing supplies, tools, packing materials, pretty much anything that requires ready access. I was usually buying bakers racks for things of this nature, but their lack of a solid shelf turned me off. With the right sized ply wood, these shelves can hold pretty much anything you throw at them. Use thicker plywood if you’re putting heavier items on them. We have a load of jetski batteries on one shelf that causes the thinner plywood to bow a bit in the middle. But no big deal. The Edsal shelves are sturdy, easily moved around, and flexible in terms of configuration. ALWAYS get an extra set of shelves, you’ll ALWAYS end up using it!

When the bottom shelf was loaded with 1126 lbs, they had to be blocked up to keep them from sagging to the floor. The second shelf is loaded with 844 lbs. and is showing some stress.

Great Shelves, Industrial Strength, Easy Assembly, Saves Space!

It’s a steel bar! Seriously though, I love the steel garage shelving from Home Depot that I purchases (unfortunately the price skyrocketed lately), but since the shelves can be connected, I ended up with an extra end piece. So, after hunting how a single shelf unit, I added it to my existing configuration, and while slightly different from what I already had, it worked fine. I had to purchase another, single bar to brace the bottom (one shelf) so I ordered this — I have no idea why Home Depot does not simply stock these things, as I am sure I can’t possibly be the only one who has run into his.

Worked but not identical to older ones.

They should sell all parts for this unit like the shelving

Just what I needed to add a shelf to my shelving frame

I've had these for 3 years now. I used them in a shed and they are great for organizing and go together very easy. There a little expensive though they look the same today as they did when i bought them so i'm guessing they'll last a lifetime.

Yes, these have been reliable for years for me and I continue to buy them. The manufacturer is taking better care in shipping them to the store as well.

Sometimes hard to find on line. This is perfect for when you have multiple sets of the shelving. Should work for all depths of shelves, just will not have the cross brace (I have never felt the need).

Upright and braces worked well 6 prices of racks cut wrong and ultimately will not support any weight

I have no problems with the shelf rack components. They are sturdy and well constructed. Be cautious if you have to order them and have them delivered. Order extra! I ordered 4 and 3 of them were damaged in shippment as they were only plastic wrapped and nothing else. I was able to bend 2 and use them the other 2 will be returned as they will not align.

These rack beams were a perfect fit for my existing Edsal shelving unit. Extended my shelving unit by 4 feet.

If you have this brand of shelving, these parts fit perfectly. I had 4’ long and 8’ long shelves, but at my new house, I needed 6’ shelves. These met my needs.

Really great product for heavy duty shelving but expensive, you pay for what you get.
