Does what it’s supposed to do easily and while looking great

I bought this in 2015 and has done nothing but wonders for a family of four includes two adult children. It was hard to believe that some people have had a bad experience w/ their very own. I’m now looking for another same. Always kept up with replacing grease & carbon filters when needed. RIP

We had this installed in April 2021, and we thought it worked well - the extension is great though I wanted a stronger fan - until mid-November 2022, when the digital display went out. It started with 4 orange lines for a minute, then for 3 weeks had a display of green 88:88 with a green fan (we never saw the fan symbol while we used the microwave for 1.5 years). We were able to keep using it because we knew the commands. My husband looked into getting it fixed, and the cost was half the price of the appliance. On December 3, 2022, the orange lines came back, and after using the microwave a few times in about 10 minutes, the orange lines seemed to disconnect. They looked unsafe and luckily the outlet where it’s plugged in is easily accessible, so we could unplug it. It is unacceptable that this appliance only lasted two years (manufactured date was Nov 2020). We are replacing with a different brand standalone microwave and separate hood to prevent loss of both in case one fails again. The hood and fan and microwave are working fine, but the electrical issue within the door display could be a fire hazard issue and we don’t feel safe leaving it plugged in.

This is an excellent quality microwave. It is sturdily built and very attractive. The controls are easily visible and easy to use. It has a expandable vent fan with numerous speed as well as adjustable lighting. It is a top of the line microwave and pricy but it is well worth the money. Anyone that purchases this microwave will be very satisfied.

Also one of the marvelous feathers is the extendable vent I have a gas range and this vent protects my microwave from the heat produced and remove the odor quickly from my house.

I've had this unit for 5 years, it is above my stove and when the stove is on it heats up the handle alot n now it's so discolored I have to replace it.

I use the fan and over head light the most . My prior microwave broke and I could look for a quieter and stronger fan. This microwave has a stronger and quieter fan with a Turbo fan setting. I am thrilled with a feature that extends the fan function to the front burners. And the black stainless steel color worked for me as black was not a color option

The ExtendaVent 2.0 offers improved ventilation over our previous unit. Addition to the spacious inside the removable rack is very helpful not to mention the easy-clean function. Best microwave we’ve ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this microwave to replace one that had stopped heating and spinning. It is a beautiful product and matches our other LG products perfectly. We love all of the settings and it is very easy to use. The only problem for me is the settings are located on the bottom, so it is hard to see food cooking in the bottom tray unless you are tall. But nothing that I can't live with.

The microwave is just 1+ year old and already the keypad numbers have started fading - refer pic. Prior to this I had a GE Microwave which lasted for 15 years and never had any issues. Replaced microwave when I did a kitchen appliance upgrade. I am unhappy with other LG products that I bought too - Dishwasher and Fridge (not from HD).

I'm short and our microwave it over the stove so it is easier for me to select what I want. I like the black stainless because to me it looks elegant in my kitchen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Much better than the typical OTR microwave. Has a more powerful 400 CFM fan (most have 300 CFM) and the ExtendaVent is a great feature. These two features help suck the fumes and grease away from your range top and out of the kitchen. No more greasy cabinets above my range! Also, I love my LG range. I use it almost daily to either griddle or use the fabulous convection roast oven. Had it for 5 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microwave heats up properly, but the vent tray will not stay closed. It came like this. The repair company came and needed to order a whole new vent tray. We are waiting for that to be delivered.

Love the extenda-vent , keeps the moisture off the front of the door (especially since his is where the keypad lives) One thing to be aware of is the larger than expected door notch. Could make it problematic if your cabinet doors above the microwave don’t adjust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For the first time ever, we have a microwave with a window position where you can not see the plate on it. It is above the stove. To see the plate, you will have to get a step later. The window to look through sets around 4 Inches above the bottom of the door. The microwave itself is outstanding. We like everything that it does.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent microwave. It has lots of preset buttons for commonly used settings, like popcorn and pizza. It heats food evenly. I love the dark stainless steel finish, it doesn’t leave fingerprints! The microwave is easy to clean inside and outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this microwave as our old one finally quit working. It perfectly matches our refrigerator. I love the features and ease of use. The venting is clever too with the pull out hood. I am very happy with my purchase.

This a very cheaply made product the door and the door handle breaks easily. This is a kitchen appliance that is used often by all family members and it doesn’t hold usage it will break in no time very disappointed with this purchase. If LG doesn’t fix this there will be no LG products in my household.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in Feb to replace my old crumbling microwave. This is the most reliable product from LG. It works flawlessly. One of the greatest feature of this product is additional slide out suction vents. This feature is life saver for me, otherwise the coking smell spreads very quickly to my entire home. Finger print resistant, easy controls are amongst other features.

Including the years I have owned both in the review. Only less than 2 months for the new one, but over six years for the old one. The push out fan is awesome and works perfectly when cooking on the front to burners. Love the melt/soften being separate buttons and they both work perfect!!! Great Microwave

Major defect with the plastic clips supporting the wire shelf overheating/melting/catching fire. Kids were cooling popcorn and caught on fire. 1st unit caught on fire during test at installation. Im stuck as having the matching range below. Good grief!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ...I thought it would be. To be clear, I expected it to be good. It looks great and pairs nicely with our LG gas range we bought 18 months ago. My favorite feature so far is exhaust fan that with a simple push, extends out over the stove front burners. It has more features than I will likely use. Very happy with this purchase.
