EXTREMELY quiet and VERY smooth running; you can use it indoors, and hold a normal conversation while it fills. This unit is so much nicer than a typical compressor, it really is amazing. Fills very quickly (look at the specs). Only drops ~10psi in 24 hours (the longest I tested it) which indicates quality. Overall appearance is also high quality. The small tank means it cycles often, but again, it is so quiet you won't mind.

Bought this at local Home Depot a month ago and it's performed as advertised. This unit is quiet - I should have replaced my old Porter-Cable years ago (way too noisy). Now I don't have to use ear protectors. Came well-packaged in Cal Air shipping carton enclosed in Home Depot carton. Well-braced in box, nothing broken or bent. After getting it started and verifying that it rose to maximum pressure, I checked all fittingings with soap solution - no leaks. Recycles at about 85 psi as advertised. I use this with a pin nailer and for pressurizing car and bike tires.

Very quiet and recharges tank very quickly. Seems like it is well made.

This was an online order, the compressor worked fine was very quiet but on the bottom where the feet are the left side feet sat flat but the right side were on an angle and welded crooked so it could not be fixed without cutting the welded tube. I ended up taking it back!!!

The perfect air compressor for a small garage or shop with limited space. Exceptionally QUIET! Very satisfied with the California Air Tool compressor and would highly recommend.

For short burst applications its great and very quiet. Seems to be well made and is comparably light. I sometimes connect a slightly larger tank to limit cycling.

Very well made super quiet. Used it to install baseboards in my daughters home. Recovers quickly only takes 15 to 20 seconds to build back to max pressure.

Performs just as advertised. Very qiet compared to other compressors out there. FIlls the tank quickly and qietly. I am very pleased with this product.

Prior to getting this, I ran a 30 gallon, 6 hp compressor in my garage and ran hoses throughout the house to run my tools. I got tired of pulling the hoses up the stairs every day and then coiling them every night so they weren't in the way. Besides the hoses were tripping hazards in the hall and especially on the steps. I considered getting a pancake style but they are almost as loud as my big compressor. This one I can stand next to and barely tell it's running! It operates all my nail and brad guns and staplers. The only thing it won't run is my air hammers and wrenches. For them I still need the bigger compressor. Glad I got it! It comes to the work site and I only need a coiled hose to connect my tools.

Great small air compressor. Super quiet. All the parts on this are top notch. Strong material. Can adjust the pressure from the red knob. Would buy again.

Have used it several times now and meets my intended purpose. This is a great little compressor and I don't have any complaints about it. I use it to blow off water after I've rinsed carburetor parts from my bike, or dust from my electric mower. I also use it now when I wash a bike, it helps to get that water out of hard to reach areas. As a verified buyer, I would recommend this purchase to another.

Just what I expected and needed. Very VERY quiet, quick initial charge, and quick to recharge when pressure drops below 90 psi. Also light weight for mobility. I was using finish nailer for baseboards and this was a perfect solution.

This is one very quiet and easily portable air compressor. I replaced an older steel tank compressor that weighed almost double what this model does.

Quiet and quick to reach full pressure.

I would recommend it. Good value and works as described. It is quiet and delivers adequate flow and pressure for all around home use. Hope it can stand up to a light duty life here ! One major design flaw I will have to correct - the tank drain valve hits the ground when lifted by the handle (the compressor rotates forward) and will eventually break off !! My solution will be to mount it on baords tha stick out to the front so when it rotates the valve is safe.

Light weight and QUIET!

Awesome little compressor. Extremely quiet and fills up quickly. I’ve used a bigger CA compressor for years and never had an issue. I imagine this one will hold up great as well
