Great product for the price

I thought Porter Cable compatibility would be enough, but it’s not. Exchanging for a true “universal fit” brand that doesn’t require an adapter that adds hassle and will wear out.

Worked as advertised

Perfect tool for the job. Only minor complaint is the power switch slider wiggles/feels sloppy. Make an otherwise nice tool feel cheap.

Very nice tool at a good price ($50). HOWEVER, it is difficult to find any blades compatible with this. If you think you will be able to buy any blades locally for this, good luck. If you are in the middle of a job and need blade, good luck. I thought, sure it can't be that hard to find a blade, but all the other reviews were correct. You'll most likely need to order blades (that cost a little more) online and wait for them to be shipped. It is even hard to find blades online for this, there are hardly any. Just try searching for a blade for this before you even consider buying it. There are so many other Oscillating Multi-Tools out there that use the common blades, you should skip buying this tool and just buy another brand.

While viewing YouTube videos to assist me with a project there was a mention of a 'Multiuse tool' or 'Oscillating tool'. I'm not a pro and had never heard of or seen one before. It seem like just what I needed but the first thing I noticed is that many of them were really expensive. While viewing Oscillating tools online at Home Depot, I found this little jewel by Black and Decker and I decided on it because I trust the B&D brand. It does the job extremely well and at a fair price. It you're 'not rich' like me but you want good quality I highly recommend this tool. You won't be sorry!

This tool feels solid. I'll be using it for small home projects.

This multi-tool works great for the price. It makes easy work in cutting out sheet rock and grout around shower tiles. Draw back is finding replacement blades on-line or at local hardware stores. Porter Cable blades work and off brands designated for B+D also work.

I will return it. Just haven’t had the time to go to Home Depot yet. The product is just so loud! The saw is also very very weak. I used it once for like 5 minutes and it got very hot. I felt like I needed to let it rest or it will overheat.

Good product at a good price

A very good by for the money! The only negative is lack of accessories on HD website.

This is a great tool- I was surprised. And contrary to other reviews I have seen, you should know that this tool also accepts porter cable AND Dremel blades.

Don't buy this tool if you want relacement blades. After using the blade (bi-metal) and needing another...went to two Home Depots, Lowe's, Wal-Mart and Ace and noone carries blades that cut metal. None of the other multi tool makers like Bosch, Rockwell, Dremel etc carry blades or adapters that will fit the Black and Decker. Basically there is nothing available for replacement metal cutting blades except on line from Black and Decker....which means 17.95 plus shipping and waiting two weeks to get it. I recommend buy another brand of multi tool that someone carries blades in their store. Black and Decker should just get out of the tool making business if they can't provide adequate replacement blades. Also this product is made in China.

I spent considerable time today researching oscillating multi-tools and believe this Black and Decker model is the best value. I did notice however that Home Depot does not carry replacement blades, so that is one caution. Otherwise I recommend this tool!

I really like this tool and would recommend it to anyone considering purchasing an oscillating tool. My father saw mine over Christmas and wanted one too so I went back and bought him one as well. I previously had one that had a chuck that I had to use every time I wanted to change out the attachment which was such a pain. The only con with this item is the cost of the attachments. My previous oscillating tool's attachments averaged around $9.00 each but with this one the attachments range from $12.00 at the cheapest and run up to $20.00 for the moon shaped wood blade. On the positive side though the attachments do seem to be made better so I don't have a big problem with the cost difference since they should last longer.
