Avoid this fridge
Bought this fridge in July, by October the doors already had rust coming through. Mind you, this is a STAINLESS STEEL skin. I have had a cheap small fridge outside by the BBQ for 5 years and it never showed rust. Samsung basically said "tough luck". The rust is cosmetic and they don't cover cosmetic. What?! I spent extra for a stainless steel fridge because they are supposed to look better longer. In less than 6 months the thing looks terrible. I bought the Home Depot extended warrantee, so i thought they would help. WRONG! The extended warrantee people said they won't help either. So, out $1k and I have a fridge that looks terrible! Very disappointed with the HD people, usually HD has great customer care. Bottom line, Samsung has terrible products, poor craftmanship, horrible customer care. I would have given it zero stars, but couldn't. Avoid Samsung products at all costs!!

It's what I've always wanted!!
At the top of the list is the aesthetics. The refrigerator is beautiful to look at and fit perfectly in the space eg. like it was meant to be there. As far as functionality, for the size there is more than enough room. All of the important items are easily accessible. The double doors, freezer on the bottom, lighting, temperature controls and the ice maker are my favorite features.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator
This refrigerator fit perfectly in my kitchen space and really makes my kitchen look beautiful. I must add the stainless steel was an upgrade and took it up a few notches. I am very pleased with my purchase. The techs were friendly and installed it, leveled and adjusted the settings in no time.

    We purchased this product and are very unsatisfied!! The drain for the defrost gets frozen and water collects in the crispers. You have to take ALL of your food and shelves out , disassemble the back panel and defrost with hot water with a turkey baster. Then you have to replace the clip with a new 3 inch. clip that will help it drain in the future. (It is hard to find part) Once we found it we paid more for it to ship than the actual part. This product is a HEADACHE!!!! We have a second fridge in our garage. It is a Whirlpool and is over 24yrs. old. NEVER EVER needed repair. I highly suggest to spend the extra $ to purchase Whirlpool!!!!

      Bought this new. Shelving units badly designed as only 2 or 3 positions available for adjusting. The worst problem is the upper unit drain freezing up every 6 - 9 months which leads to water leaking into the upper unit vegetable drawers.

        Worst fridge ever!!!
        I have had issues with this refrigerator for as long as I have had it. I have had a tech come to my home 4 times and this thing still does not work. Same problem everyone else complains about.....freezes up and water fills up the crisper drawer. Home depot will not replace it for me....they go by the idiotic repairmen that say they fixed the issue. Yeah okay.....I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot ever again....they do not stand by their customers at all! Also Samsung sucks so bad!

          terrible product
          froze up service was provided by Home Depot service. Two days later it is frozen again. Home Depot no longer stocks this model. where do you go from here. reviews on the internet seems to be a common issue with Samsung. Home Depot should stick up for its customers and force Samsung to replace these units and Home depot should pull all product from its stores and online sales.

          it's a lemon
          water kept freezing in the motor...had multiple issues with the fridge. Please do not buy as servicing the fridge was a nightmare as well. had to unplug, defrost, then have mechanic chip away the ice blocks repeatedly. although the look and features are great for a small size fridge, the problems with the water icing up are not worth it. I would never buy a samsung product especially in the refrigerator department ever again.

            do not buy this refrigerator
            After 1.5 years the ice machine broke, then water would accumulate under the crisper drawers making a flood and dripping into the freezer, now after 3 years the main control board fried. What happened to the 20 year life cycle. Plus, if you do your research these are all common problems that Samsung will do nothing about. I wish I did my research.

            Beautiful Ref. Not user friendly , very noise and leaks, pure junk
            This refrigerator looks great, the bad is the sensors go bad and inside of the walls builds up with ice causing the fans to be stuck . The ice in the walls will not melt but slowly drips and freezes up under the drawers freezing them closed same thing in the freezer and slowly drips on your floor . The shelves do not adjust much and it is hard find a way to place items you have to lay most items down like juice ketchup , two liter, sailed dressing laying them down takes to much space. The ice maker drips water in the tray making a very large unusable peace of ice . The fridge makes loud pop and cracking noises day and night. So loud it will wake you up its nothing to do with the ice BC I used it for several months with no water hooked up. I was told it is expanding and contracting off the internal parts . All of our local appliance special stores said they will never sell SAMSUNG again tomany problems and samsung refuses to help with the problem

              Terrible quality, bad design, Samsung takes no responsibility.
              Very poor quality product. Shortly after warranty expired, a design flaw acknowledged by Samsug caused a freeze up of the back panel causing water to leak into the crisper/vegetable drawers. I had to pay for this repair with an independent repair service. 2 months later a complete freeze up again, different issue, this time the estimate is for $500 repair. Tech advises me to stay clear of Samsung appliances. I couldn't agree more. If you choose to buy this fridge be prepared for lots of hassle and expenses a couple years into ownership.

              Lousy Product and No Service
              This refrigerator is noisy and the paint is pealing off the handles with minimal usage. Attempt to lodge a complaint or make a service request is futile becase the Samsung website doesn't work. Their live chat person claims that the paint is pealing because of "wet hands" and that the damage is only cosmetic - end of story.

              It does a good job of cooling. I like that the doors close tightly. Another fridge we have (different manufacturer) when you close one door the other pops open but not this one. The ice maker is a bit loud but performs well.

                I love the freezer on the bottom, and so wonderful to have a light so when I am searching for that frozen product it is easier to find. The ice maker is perfect, especially when you can turn it off when you have enough ice for now, and turn it back on when you are ready. No throwing away extra ice. I like that we have no water in the door. Our water at our house is very good, so we didn't need to have the water in the door. Everything is easily accessible in the refrigerator, even t he top part. I can see everything with the great LED lighting.

                Bought this fridge over the 4th of July Weekend sales and it is great. The features were cool, like the alarm when the fridge is not completely closed. Bottom freezer is huge!!! The only thing is the that there is not a lot room for big items, (two gallons of milk and a pitcher of iced tea will not fit). You need to use a little strategy to make everything fit, but I shouldn't complain, it is under 20 cu. ft. I had a housewarming and everyone kept saying that the fridge completed the kitchen.

                Delivery was on time and proffessional. However as noted above it is advertised as a stainless steel refirigerator. It is not. The doors are plastic painted in stainless steel finish and hard to cleaNI specifically asked this at he store since there was not one on the floor. As for the shelves only the middle one can be moved and not to a height you can store large items as milk cartons. The bins in the door are so deep that if you move one down there is no space to tale stored objects out because the ther bin is in the way Overall the design is poor. Who can I speak to to to resolve this?

                  Worst Refrigerator I Ever Bought
                  Just out of warranty the icemaker went out (parts fell off) making sheets of ice instead of cubes. Evaporation drained into bins. Had to have strip heater installed. Now 2 years later: In the past two months, I've had to defrost my refrigerator (turn off and remove food which had spoiled because of one). It frosts up in the fresh food. Repair person had to clear and cut opening for condensation to flow. Tried working with Samsung and won't help as out of warranty. In fact, there is no extended warrantee repair in the St. Louis area.

                  Fit the needs but some desing flaws
                  There are some desing flaws, like the movable storage unit hits either door when opening, ever so slightly. Selves cannot be moved so 2 liter bottles can be placed on them, only in the doors. Ice maker bin takes up a very large portion of the freezer, maybe could have been divided if you don't use that much ice. But very quit operation, very energy efficient. Also the right hand door opens up when the left door is closed, and stays open. Alignement problem I am told, but have not had time to have it looked at.

                  We purchased this refrigerator because the space that it needed to fit in was only 32 7/8 inches wide. I would not recommend this or any other Samsung refrigerator, unless it doesn't matter to you that it doesn't have an automatic shut off on the ice maker. Was told by Samsung personnel that none of their ice makers shut off automatically. It has a manual shut off inside the door. This wouldn't matter much to me either, except I purchased it for a second home, & we need to remember to shut off the ice maker, or we'll come back to a freezer full of ice cubes, especially when we leave in Sept & don't return until May.

                    Lasted Under 3 Hours
                    Had it for less than 3 hours when it shut itself off and would not power back on, even after resetting the breaker, GFI, and unplugging/re-plugging it back in. Called Samsung and go the run around, called Depot and got sent back to Samsung. Eventually I got a great rep that knew what to do. Replacement is on the way next week.

                    Worst Fridge EVER
                    DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR!!! I can't say this strongly enough! The Reason? although it looks great and keeps things cold, there is NO WAY TO STORE MORE THAN 2 TALLER SIZED ITEMS. If you have 2 gallons of milk and place them in the door ALL OTHER ITEMS MUST BE PLACED LYING DOWN AND CAN/WILL SPILL. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE. Things such as ketchup, juice, A1 sauce, Salad Dressing, all do not fit. It blows my mind. I have to keep it but I have to take the middle shelf completely out and use some makeshift shelving unit in order to not have so much wasted space. I used to be a Samsung believer but not any longer! The only reason I gave it 1 star is that there is no option for no stars!

                      Everyone went above and beyond
                      Home Depot went above and beyond my expectations to deliver this refrigerator. We were adding onto the house and there was a timeline to hit before family arrived. Thru no fault of their own (read mine), this was to replace another we had purchased that did not fit. I watched EVERYONE I spoke to at Home Depot work as a team to figure out how to handle the issue I had created. Fridge delivered literally as family was arriving. It's beautiful, fits neatly in the opening, and held enough food and beverages to accomodate the 8 extra people in our home. We have another Samsung in our full size kitchen and this is a nice compliment. Best of all, this was intended to be for a basement application and it has helped us to create a space that looks better than we had anticipated.
