These clamps are working fine for their intended use. It helps to have the right clamps for a particular job and Bessey has a wide selection to choose from.

Quality with a capital Q. Great size when a 12" clamp comes up just a little short. Ergonomic handle much better than wooden handles of old. Depth is ideal for clamping work down to bench.

Used these on a project right away. Very strong, and I like the way the slider works on this. Almost effortless.

These things are heavy duty. Bigger and beefier than the other Bessey bar clamps I own. It can be difficult to decipher from the model numbers and descriptions where each different clamp falls on the spectrum, but these are definitely on the beefy side. I have Jorgenson bar clamps, a couple Irwin bar clamps, and a variety of the "typical" Bessey bar clamps you might find at a big box store or Woodcraft, and these are heavier and stronger than any of the others. Of course, that means they are literally heavier, and bigger, and thus may be a bit trickier to hold or place one-handed, and take up more space when stored, but they deliver in clamping force and zero deflection. The medium-duty clamps are great for everyday jobs, but it's great to have a few of these, too, for the jobs that require greater clamping force. Also, the deep throats are great for distributing clamping force across a wider workpiece, without having to reach for (or make) customized cauls or blocks.

These are close to being the 'platinum bar' for clamps of this design. Easy to handle. Easy to use. With their large handles, you're able to exert good force, with zero deflection, in small increments. The throats lock into place easily and are sure-footed. I've adapted two pairs for my cauls ... and they work perfectly. Love 'em.
