I am loving this freezer so far. It's very roomy and runs quietly. I was tired of digging through the chest freezer to find things at the bottom. It suits our needs perfectly!

I have had a technician here 4 times and still have the same problem. The Freezer is sweating at the top inside and ice crystals are forming on the door shelves and in front of the light. The first one told me I had it too cold and to turn it to # 3. The next one called in and was told by the Electrolux tech to RTV the door. Now the tech calls Electrolux and was told to turn it to #1 and it will hold zero degrees F . Now the temp is rising and is at 18F after 2 hrs. I have had this freezer for less than 2 months. Now all they want to do is send out another tech. I have another Fridgidaire freezer in the same area of my garage and have had it for 13 years. It is set at the coldest #7 and it does not exhibit any of the problems I am having with the new freezer. The freezer is a piece of GARBAGE!

This freezer replaced a 43 yr old Kenmore chest freezer, so it is taking a little getting used to e.g. the motor sounds like the unit is breathing which is less obvious when filled than empty. Also the door seal is very tight, which is a good thing for efficiency, but be prepared to use your foot or hand to brace the unit while opening the door, even after it is filled. The storage area on the door is very spacious. I didn't realize the main shelves are not adjustable, but no biggie. I purposely bought a manual defrost but I'm not crazy about the quick frost buildup on the shelves. It tends to make the contents slide too easily. I have no doubt that the contents will stay frozen in the event of a 48 hr power outage as highlighted in the specs. It is like a armored appliance. The delivery people were outstanding in setting it up and very careful to not damage any part of our home.

it is new and so far so good. The cooling coils are in the racks, which is new to me. It has a tight seal and good too in the door for all the small frozen items. Great delivery and installation. It is making noise as it cools and is likely waiting for me to fill it with green chile till it quiets down, kinda sounds like it is alive and breathing.

Perfect size freezer. Enough shelf storage for alot of food. I love being able to control the tempreture. Only down side for me was the cable to plug it in was kinda short.

No problems with this unit. Nothing good or bad to say about it. It runs fine, makes the usual noises. Had it for about four months now and it keeps everything at about zero degrees at the number 2 setting (1-9). The only issue I had was with the delivery, as I believe they did damage the unit pretty severely on the corner...but it appears to be only cosmetic, and I didnt want to go through the hassle of returning it etc etc...

Really wanted a upright freezer. This is big enough to stock up on everything from meats to vegetables. Ice cream treats too! I love it, energy efficient and quiet.

This is a good, reasonably-priced basic freezer. I got it a few weeks ago, and it has done a great job of freezing my food. At one point, the power went out, and everything was still frozen solid 24 hours later when power was restored. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good freezer. I have mine out in the garage. I originally was going to get a chest freezer for the garage, but this one wasn't much more expensive. It's actually easier to use given that it has numerous shelves to organize things better.

I love the upright freezer after having a chest freezer for 15+ years. I upgraded to the chest because I could never see the food in the chest. This freezer was affordable and is perfect for us. I love how the freezer seals shut after closing the door. It is a little noisy, but we have it in our garage, so the noise is not really a factor. You can't go wrong with this deep freezer - such a better option than keeping food in a frost free freezer where the temperature fluctuates.

Replaced my small chest freezer with this upright. I am so pleased that I can actually see what I have in my freezer now! No lifting out everything I have to find a buried item at the bottom. The delivery guys were great too. AND- the ice cream is right in the door where it's easy to grab! :)

The perfect size for our pantry, quiet, energy efficient, and manual defrost. Note it is NOT frost free. The only thing that could be better would be a basket for the bottom shelf.

I read reviews. Bad FIRST!!! And the failure of this unit got to me. However, After calling about a hand truck available during delivery, we found they didn't have one, so the moving of another freezer to another spot in the same room became an ordeal. BUT, IT GOT DONE. And the ONLY thing we are having trouble with is opening the door. The freezer is incredibly light and the magnet seal is very strong. Holding it to open it can be a problem if you have your hands full. There is no instructions to anchor it to anything. Even with stuff on top and inside it is still a pain to open. I KNOW your saying " That's a good thing" Yes and no. The freezer is performing as expected. It has been here a month. Check the photo.

Although HD totally screwed up & at 1st sent me a banged up unit, they did send another quickly. It fits & works.

This was my first stand alone freezer purchase and it was a great buy. it has lots of room and shelf space and runs very quietly. For the quality of the product you can't beat the price.

Two of the 3 freezers that were delivered had cracks in the door from being over insulated. The 3rd was one that was made special so that this would not happen

This died after 2.5 years. Second bad Frigidaire product in a row that I've owned, after a lifetime of loyalty. They have completely gone downhill since Electrolux bought them.

I found this on pure luck! Every retailer has been sold out with several weeks of back orders. The freezer is the right size for my family. Easy to set up, easy to switch door opening. Thanks HD!

only wish is that there was a light in the bottom ... door lock is a plus ... easy to defrost, had ours for many years

Bought from a local dealer, received a good price, and they delivered promptly and professionally. The only issue is that it is difficult to open the door (at least for my wife). Not sure why ... seems the seal is very tight. If not for that, I'd give 5 stars. I would recommend.

The door is very hard to open even if I let it stay closed after opening. The thermostat has no effect on the inside temperature. The instructions pamphlet is useless.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this a little over a month ago. Seemed to run a lot, but it is holding the set temperature fine. Plenty of room. Only wish you could add slide out or tip down baskets for small loose stuff.
