I consider it a total waste of money. Some of mine work, some of them don't. Not opening at 85 + degrees!

This automatic foundation vent is a good fit for a standard cinder block sized opening, and with the sturdy screws, it can be anchored well against the adjoining blocks. I like that it will open at about 70° and close at about 40° without electricity. This great grandma had no trouble installing this vent and plan to get a couple more to replace some old ones that aren't working so well.

fits the bill. may need to caulk to prevent bugs from getting in. going to get 9 more.

The foundation vent was easy to install,the bricks was removed and the foundation vent fit perfectly in place.

EZ to install. Fit and finish was excellent.

Seems durable. Concerned that it won't hold down in windy weather. Could not get it to attach to house.

I feel like classifying it as a mortar free install is ishy territory. It depends. I definitely had gaps that needed filling so be prepared with caulk, mortar, foam gap filler or whatever fits your application, budget, and temps for your region. I saw Master Flow commenting on a review chiding them for rating the VALUE (and I hate all caps). This is one of the questions HD asks while I sit here and do this review! You guys should only be in here to assist your customers not running damage control. By the way, it -does- cost too much. Resin? LOL, it's plastic guys. That said if it works I'll probably get more for the crawl space unless I decide to condition and/or dehumidify it ultimately and only run exhaust to the outside. I that case I seal everything up.

Perfect replacement vents, not sure if this will get posted but the exact same model is $17 at the Blue store. HD did price match their price, I didn’t think they would and didn’t want to considering HD was double the price.

Never got my order, I have contact Home Depot customer service twice and no one have give me straight answer.

Easy to install and made of good quality materials. Replaces the old vents are much better on controlling the air flow in the crawl space.

Had 12 vents replaced a year ago with ones just like this. Two have already failed. Bought two of these this morning to replace. These were half as much money just a few years ago and they were junk then and are junk now. If you can get anything like a friction fit with the included screws, the frame will probably bow. And if it bows too much, the louver box will snap out of the frame. The bimetal coils will also sometimes spontaneously detach.

Was difficult to put in under siding

This is the second house I have installed this vent. I’m too old to get down to change flow when weather changes so this is a good solution

I bought these Master Flow 16 in X 8 in Automatic Foundation Crawl Space Vents as replacements for one broken and one missing crawl space vents. The Master Flow Vents fit perfectly and were easy to install. The old vents had only one screw to secure the vent frame to the vent opening but the Master Flow vents had four screws which provides much more security for the vents.
