We purchased this same medicine cabinet about 3 years ago and wanted to replace one at my Son's house recently. I found pictures of the shelf supports/clips and reviews saying don't purchase because the glass shelfs aren't secure. NOTE the supports are 2 piece. The bottom piece supports the shelf and the top piece securely holds the glass shelf in place. The online instillation instructions do not mention that they are 2 piece. Great value for the money.

The plastic shelf pegs are a nightmare to get in and out. The shelves are too short and will come crashing out if they are bumped. I regret this purchase so don’t do it.

Incredibly easy to install. The only part I truly had to think about was how the clasp worked on the glass shelf. You will put in the part that holds up the shelf, then lay down the glass, and then lastly the part that has the clasp (looks like a staple) to fit over it. Other than that, you just have to be sure it fits your cut-out for the mirror in your bathroom. Ours is exactly 14", so we went with this model that is just slightly less than 14" Screw in the 4 mounting screws (comes with dry wall mounts, if needed) and that was about it. The glass shelf does have writing on it saying it is tempered. I don't think it was a deal breaker, but it is weird to see. The inside is stainless steel. The mirror is as plain and it is compact and sleek. Our home likes it a lot. I was concerned the first week or so with the strength of the magnet, but it is not "as strong" about a week into opening and closing it -- I used the bumpers at the edge and near the magnet.

The glass shelves are far too short. They barely reach the plastic pegs on each side and I’m sure they’re going to be moving around constantly. They also each have printed writing on them, NOT a sticker that can be removed. It looks awful. The inner metal looks thin and flimsy instead of having a mice clean look and the little black plugs that hide the optional shelf holes fall out when I close the door. They’re not fitted correctly! The mirror feels thin and flimsy too. I have a $60 cheap cabinet with the plastic inside that feels sturdier than this does and I’m very disappointed. The mirror being so thin and the magnet for the door being so strong, it feels like I’m going to break the cabinet every time I go to open it. I’ll have to cover the magnet a bit to try and decrease the strength. For what I paid vs what I got, I would have preferred the cheaper plastic shelving and interior that I put into my other bathroom. Between the aesthetics and the build I give this a generous 1 Star.

- Glass shelves are 1/2 inches too short (side to side). They slide back and forth and put weight on the very tips of the plastic holders. It simply isn't rocket science to cut the them proper length, and I hope they don't break the plastic. - Glass has non-removable black lettering over 1 inch high: "DONGGUAN JINMEN MIRROR (GLASS) CO. LTD 6MM FULLY TEMPERED/TOTALMENTE TEMPLADO" Why would I want to see this in my medicine cabinet? Do they think this advertising is going to get them some glass sales? They couldn't make this so it could be peeled off? - Come on. This is $119.00. How much do we have to spend to get a quality product?

We had no problems installing. The internal sheet metal is not a perfect match in the corners, but for the price......My only complaint is the glass manufacturers very black, too-large labeling (that takes up a third of the shelf) on the glass shelves themselves. Hopefully they can be taken off with some solvent. Annoying and tacky!

We replaced an extremely basic, builder's grade medicine cabinet with this one, so it is much better than what was there. However, this is only an average cabinet for the money. It does not have a mirror on the reverse side of the door and you have to drill out the holes where you want to install the shelves, because if you frame the opening for the cabinet, the face of the jamb wood will interfere with the shelf anchors. Not that well thought out. But, functional and looks nice.

Our recessed opening is exactly 14" x 24" and this cabinet fitted nicely. Installation guide requirement for recessed opening is 13 5/8" x 23 3/4"; so, it is accurate. Previous cabinet was about 6 years old. Steel power coated with piano hinge showed a lot of rust; therefore, stainless steel or aluminum is our first choice. There are limited number of 16" x 26" cabinet with stainless steel or aluminum that will fit 14" x 24" recessed opening without any modification. As a result, we have to settle with this one. Quality and others related to this product * One dimple dent at the back. This is OK for me. One cannot see after stuff inside. * Pre-drilled mounting holes need to move further back about 0.5". For us, it is right between 1/2" sheet rock and edge of stud. So, we drilled four new mounting holes. No point in damaging sheet rock and stud. It is not necessary to use provided sheet rock anchors. * Opening and Closing are lot louder than our previous cabinet. * Not sure that piano hinge is aluminum or stainless steel. Only time will tell. * Mounting screws are way too long. It is not necessary for this cabinet size and weight. * Not sure that provided 4 screws is steel or zinc coated. Buy extra 4 stainless steel mounting screws with slight smaller diameter and 0.75 " long. * Rubber hole plugs keep fall off when opening and closing. Use felt bumpers to cover unused holes instead of provided rubber hole plugs. * Door does not close flush and show uneven gap from top to bottom. This is similar to my previous cabinet . It is OK for me. Not sure again that this is normal. * Mirror is fined and overall weight is less than my previous steel powder coated. * Thin gauge stainless steel cabinet. I preferred a little flexing on cabinet. It help in squaring cabinet when screws into stud. * Shelf Clips and Glass are fined. Cabinet depth is good. Poor instruction and no picture how to install shelf clips. There two pieces, top and bottom that clip on together. Never the less, it is good for securing glass shelf in place. * Overall Rating is B Minus or C Plus. Expect a little more for $100 frame-less cabinet. * Origin: Made in China.

A nice cabinet, good quality and easy to install. Nice stainless steel interior

Ordered two for bath mini remodel. Simple cabinet, beveled mirror, stainless steel case door and interior with glass shelves. Needed this depth and size for replacing existing cabinets. Both shipped at same time, one was in perfect condition, the second has tiny chip in the mirrored door at the edge of both bottom corners, didn't even notice until I already had the cabinet installed. Overall i am very pleased.

It’s much more cheaply made than I realized. The glass shelves are stamped with the name of the manufacturer and it doesn’t seem removable, which I am not thrilled with. It’s also really difficult to adjust the shelves. Looks ok, but I wasn’t aware a medicine chest could feel cheap, and this one does.

It’s fine but I must have looked at the picture and thought it had mirrors inside. It’s now installed so I’m not returning. Not my favorite but will do

It's of okay quality. Like almost everything at Home Depot, it's made in the People's Republic of China and the quality of manufacture is nothing like what you'll find in an American made house from early or mid-twentieth century.

this medicine cabinet was of much better quality than the painted metal or plastic med cabinets. worth the extra money.

These arrived in perfect condition. They are clean looking and elegant. Easy to install and easy to keep clean. Great improvement to our bathrooms.

The first one we received, has a problem with the soldering on the door hinge. If we had installed that, the door will probably fall down. We tried to have it replaced, but HD won't offer that option. We had to return it and buy it again, which by that time had increase in price. The second one appears to be okay. The soldering are just a few dots, I hope it will last a very long time.

The medicine cabinet has a nice modern look and feel. A strong magnet, so the door is sure to stay closed. My issue is quality control. Once it was installed, I noticed it was going to be a hassle installing the shelf anchors. Due to the thin metal, it leaves no room to install the shelf anchors if the cabinet is flush against the studs. You'll have to drill into the stud to allow for more space behind the shelving holes because the shelf anchors go past the metal sheet in order to be attached. Once I got one of the shelves attached, I realized the shelving holes were not leveled. It made the glass shelving slanted with one side being noticeably higher than the other. Also, all of the glass shelves have a large black lettering message that cannot be removed. It didn't bother me, but not having leveled shelves is a "no-no".
