This is a lower powered version able to be added, in some cases, to an existing circuit...using the wall mounted programmable thermostat from Honeywell this heater is the perfect companion to warming up our Kitchen before, during and shortly after every meal....helps complement the existing HVAC system to heat just the kitchen a little warmer and faster than the rest of the house... not too hot to stand in front off it... and very quiet... no rattles using a silicone pad underneath it.

Love the digital thermostats as they keep the heat at a more consistent temperature. This thermostat has a higher amp rating necessary when two heaters are connected to one thermostat.

I had to return this as it did not work with my electric ceiling heat. One of my rooms had a single pole system. When I installed this one I heard the fuse system clicking like it wanted to flip the switch. I had to install a non programmable thermostat for this one room.

The thermostat works well set up is a little tricky

This Cadet TH106 thermostat is a huge improvement over the standard dial thermostats typically used with baseboard and wall-fan heaters. Besides being programable it also provides a much more consistent temperature in the room(s) it controls. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because of limited programming options and poorly written instructions regarding how to store your own preferred temperature settings. IMPORTANT: Be sure to pay attention to its maximum combined heater wattage limits.

We are on our second one of this thermostat. The first one would run for 2 minutes and off for 2 minutes. Tech support determined it was defective and sent us a second one. Now we cannot get it programmed to keep the correct temp. As far as I am concerned these are a piece of junk. Sadly this is the only thermostat rated for 4000 watts. I think where this is rated for maximum load of 16.7 A and the heater is listed at 16.67 A it does not take into consideration of the resistance of the wire feeding the heater.

The Honeywell products fit more applications than Cadet. Cadet if used, isnt returnable or refundable for misapplication.

Easy installation and must need for 4000W wall heaters

I bought this thermostat to replace an older model. First I had problems programming it. When I finally got it figured out (somewhat-couldn't figure out how to change the default setting from 70 degrees to 68). Then after several weeks it just stopped working all together. When I removed it a wire was burned. Scary! Could be that I wired it wrong? However, I successfully installed another model several months prior without burning down the house. Returning to the unprogrammable model. Also noticed when I got the product it said Honeywell on it. I thought I was purchasing Cadet.

We are in a condo so we have Cadet wall heaters but we were always forgetting to turn them down at night so they would run all night. Now we don't have to think about it anymore. Yeah! I love the preset buttons that let us turn it back on to the preset temp or down to the night temp when our schedules are different than the programmed schedule. We replaced all 4 of ours and are very happy.

Well made and great thermostat. The only issue is the somewhat complicated method for programming the unit, otherwise it could not be better.

I ordered four, one for each unit in the fourplex where I live. 3 worked well, 1 was a dud and had to be returned. Programming is a bit complex, but that is bc it offers several good options. I hired a licensed electrician to install, he had no problem. Happy with these. Hard to find item.

This product is replacing a similar one that was 15 years old. if it is as good as the first one, I will be happy.

I have these thermostats throughout my house. I like them a lot. I recently purchased 3 more but 2 of them don’t work. They turn on when connected to power but they don’t turn my heating unit off. I even tried all 3 of them in one room but only one thermostat works.

Great customer service. The thermostat is ok it is difficult to set the temperature you really want. Our old thermostat was user friendly.

Simple to install, and a nice robust case. Plenty of options for programming to optimize the use of the wall heater when my kids' rooms are isolated at night from our more efficient heat pump by setting the temperature cold (effectively off) during the day, and warm (67F) during the evenings. Easy to override to get a bit of heat for one kid's nap time, and also to go into "vacation mode" when we want to open windows and ventilate.

Works great. Unfortunately does not have any facade piece to cover the box it is mounted on. I used a blue double gang new work box and you can see it.Perhaps a single gang would work better, but the mounting holes appear to be for a double gang. Something I'll have to deal with.
