remarkable mechanism
Bought the VRT 350 over a month ago to make best use of all the greens in my garden. I feel good about the process, except that it now has so much pulp it feels like a soup, not drinkable at all. I do alternate fibre and juicy items, fruits, etc juicer came with only one filter, looks like yellow to me, opaque enough, but not sure if i can order a white one, and more importantly if it would make a difference.

    Great juicer but something broke...
I credit this juicer with helping me lose significant weight in just a few months. I have had this machine since 2010 but just recently started getting serious with it. It came with two juicing screens, one fine mesh and the other medium. The latter has broken after only a week or two of use. It broke while masticating broccoli, which I cut up before feeding it in. What do I need to do to get a replacement for the juicing screen, medium mesh?

      Drives me insane
Don’t get me wrong, once you get it together it juices great. But I’ve had this juicer maybe four years, I use it almost every day, and it’s no easier to assemble now than it was in the beginning. I fight with it every day as the assembly just refuses to sit right for the top to go on, it’s nearly been hurled out the window a few times. I’ve been driven to write this review tonight just to vent after 10 minutes of battling with it to no avail.

        quiet compared to other juicers.
I have had my juicer for 1 1/2 years. The screen is the weak link. It is not designed to withstand the forces when juicing hard vegetables such as beets. The nib on the bottom will break off after extensive use with hard vegetables.

worked well, but after a week, the bowl cracked
so pleased with what it did and easy clean up but after less than a week of making carrot juice when cleaning I saw the bowl base has 3 cracks around the openings that fit on base and one of the black attachment on the base broke off. (NO HAPPY WITH ALL THE PLASTIC YOU USED IN SUCH IMPORTANT PLACES) I'm in business myself and I say if your happy tell everyone if not tell the people who can help you. (HELP ME I NEED THIS FIXED) VRT350 / VRT350HD. Thank you for your time. Penny

            Powerful, but not Incredible
I bought this juicer 2 years ago when I was going through chemotherapy, because I had instructions to consume specific nutrients. It was recommended and I had no energy to do my research. I continue to use it, and although it generally works well enough with the carrots, ginger, greens, apples, beets, etc, I've learned the precise size to cut things so it keeps the thing from jamming up. It does jam up quite a bit though... But more surprising and more frustrating is that I wanted this juicer and was willing to pay the high price because I wanted JUICE, not baby food or a VitaMix style smoothie. I'm disappointed by how much pulp is still left in the juice. Even though a lot of pulp comes out the "juice" is basically like a watered down Vitamix drink consistency. I end up using this almost $400 machine and then still have to strain it through my own strainer. I would not recommend it if you're really looking for a juicer that makes "juice".

              vrt350hd Red very happy
I bought this machine on a big sale. I really like it. if you clean it properly it will juice the heck out of anything the next time you use it. I have had it for about 6 years and every part is working properly like its supposed to. If it brakes on me i will definitely buy another one or maybe even upgrade. it would be nice to have a coupon if that happens or get a huge sale discount. Just be gentle with it treat it as your diet baby. plus its not so loud.

I've had this Vrt350HD for 10 years of heavy use.
Bought in 2007. Daily use for almost all of that time. Have had no, zero, zilch, complaints, and it works as well today as it did fresh out of the box. I did my homework, of course, before I bought it, and John Kohlers website and video were extremely helpful (didn't buy from him though, sad to say, as he was out of stock at that time). My criteria were 1) must juice leafy veggies as well as harder root vegetables like beets, etc. and 2) MUST be easy to clean as I didn't want to spend this kind of money on something that ends up in the garage a month later. The VRT met and continues to meet these criteria. The only thing I can say that is the slightest bit negative is that it does not juice soft fruits well...a lot of juice is left in the pulp....a centrifugal or hand uicer is better at that. However, it does juice pineapple acceptably. On the whole, I would buy it again if I had to, but I will probably croak before this thing does.

                  Good but disappointed
After watching a ton of videos on this juicer and others I felt this was the most versatile. The fact that I have to strain the pulp wasn't the worst thing and I did know this before I purchased...but it is NOT easy to clean the screen it is definitely NOT a quick clean up...also it does NOT do soft greens well...you have to use something hard to push it through like a carrot so if you want just spinach juice...totally did not work for me. Also I am confused...which screen is used for greens???

                    Great juicer
I've read all the reviews and most negative ones make me think the users are other manufacturers commenting. Look this product does what it says it will do, makes great juice. I have had no problems using this juicer for over four years. This product is made for home use not commercial use so don't abuse it. If you force produce through the machine it won't work as designed. I cut my produce in relatively small pieces and let them fall into the auger through the chute. If I need to; I use the push piece to move the produce into the augar area. I've had no problems at all and yes the parts will discolor after awhile no big deal. It comes with a ten year warranty 350 vrt so I'm comfortable recommending this product.

                      SOAK WITH OXICLEAN
To the people who complain of the machine becoming grungy. Soak overnight in a sink full of hot water and oxiclean followed by the dishwasher and it will come back like new. there is no paint flaking from the auger as one reviewer stated because it is solid. Learn the machine, rotate your produce and the slower you juice the less pulp you will have.

                        Love this juicer!
I am really pleased with this purchase. The juicier extracts extremely well. There is no unpleasant mechanical noise. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. I highly recommend it.

                        Every day juicer
Best juicer I have ever had. Works like a charm for my wheatgrass every morning and I will juice later in the day veggies and fruit. I like how easy it is to clean and assemble. Going on two years old and still looks and juices like new.

The best masticating juicer on the market
I had this juicer for over 6 years and it works like new. I try to juice once a morning or at least once a week and it works as good as the first day I brought it.

                            OMEGA VRT350W
I purchased the juicer about 2 months ago and use it every other day. I'm not too pleased with the fact I can only get approx one quart of juice before it will only produce mush. I do kale, carrots, beets, ginger, apples, cucumber, lemons, parsley and celery. I generally must strain it before drinking.

                              I highly recommend this juicer!
It is under a 10 year warranty! I love it! I have had mine about 5 years now. They have gladly replaced anything without any questions asked. I have Crohn's disease & this juicer helps me absorb crucial nutrients. I use it every day, sometimes twice a day. I would definitely recommend this juicer to anyone!

                                Difficult to put back together
Just bought my first juicer as am told masticating better than centrifugal. It got clogged up on first usage, and the main bowl bit kept moving off the motor, requiring me to hold it in place at the same time as holding the button pressed. Also it's a total faff putting it together. I've just taken about an HOUR to make some juice and clear up the mess. Now have dismantled for washing. And I just can't put it back together again. Is it just me? £280 down, and I don't feel like going through it all again tomorrow morning. I can see this just sitting gathering dust...

                                  Great juicer but...
This loses one star for lack of design consideration when it comes to disassembling the top half of the juicer (or main body) from the base (motor). It's a tight fit when assembled and when I go to remove it for washing, it takes all my strength to do some and often at multiple tries. There's no grip to be able to hold the base still while twisting off the tightly secured top half. I realize I'm going to reach a time when I will no longer be able to use the machine simply for lack of being able to clean the parts. I already am discouraged from using it often as a result. It loses another star for it's inability to juice veggies like the carrot well, where the pulp always feel wet. Overall I am satisfied with Omega. Perhaps the newer models have factored these in and are worthy of 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this brand to others but just not this model.

                                    Mixed feelings
I believe in the benefits of fresh vegetable juice. I bought this juicer about 3 years ago. It has always shocked me if I touch the on off button with wet hands — using leafy veggies or celery clogs it up... so expect your hands to be wet. It's super hard to clean, the auto clean is a joke. I love juicing, I expected a better product for the amount of money I spent.

Juices fruits and some vegs but sometimes clogs.
I have had my VRT350 over 3 years. It makes wonderful juice from both veggies and fruit. It arrived with a cracked auger (which is very unusual!) but the company was great and sent a replacement auger. The only problem with this juicer, and the reason that I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5, is that the pulp ejection spout clogs whenever I juice veggies such as kale, cilantro, beet greens, celery, you get the idea. I have tried everything: I cut the stalks into 1-2" pieces, I alternate them with carrots or apple, I've juice them first, I've juiced them last. It doesn't matter; the spout will clog. It is true that sometimes "only" half of the spout clogs, but the wad of stalk strings extends from the spout back up into the basket and I can't believe that this is good for the machine. Also, the backup sometimes causes a bit of juice to leak through the center gasket onto the pin and center portion of the base. This problem makes it difficult to make large batches of juice without having to stop and clean out the pulp path. I have heard that the newer models have addressed this problem, so for that reason I would buy one of the newer models instead of this one if you plan to include veggies such as I mentioned. If you don't juice a lot of leafy greens with their stalks and/or celery, this is the perfect juicer for you.

                                        Satisfied, for the most part
I received this juicer from a friend of mine who, as a diabetic, bought it back in May '14 and used it 5 times. She was unable to drink the juice, as it made her glucose level rise too high, so it sat for 18 mos in her basement until now, she gave it to me. I have used it for about a week now, and have had 3 large juicing sessions - producing enough juice for me to have for 6 days (three sessions of juicing for an hour - 2 days worth each time). I am juicing everything from carrots, apples, cucumbers, to lacinato kale, red chard, celery, pomegranate seeds, cherries, cranberries, pineapple (even the core, which I could NOT put through my old centrifugal juicer - Jack LaLane Power Juicer Pro). I am VERY satisfied with the quality of the juice - even after stored for 2 days (in mason jars with the white plastic lids). With my old juicer, juices would spoil within 4 hours, which would prohibit me from taking them to work for lunch at mid-shift. The only thing I do not like about the juicer so far is the amount of pulp in the juice. I remedy that by pouring it through a strainer and problem solved - extra step, but makes it much more palatable for my tastes. I did have to adjust my recipes as this juicer gives me MUCH more yield from my leafy greens than the centrifugal juicer did, so the taste was definitely a little different. Cleaning is easy and I have not had any problems with the pulp ejection or the juicer stopping on me. I cut everything as John Kohler states to cut it up in his videos on YouTube and feed things through differently than my old juicer as well - and it seems to work well. It is an extra step to prep the food, but well worth it to me to be able to make juice ahead for 2-3 days at a time instead of having to clean the juicer every time I wanted a juice - several times per day. Cleaning is easy with just water and the cleaning bush provided in the box. I do wonder if the warranty is still good on this machine for me since I am not the original purchaser and how I go about looking into that - I still have the warranty card that she never filled out and sent in.

                                          Meh...I would try something else...
I purchased this at a local store that was going out of business so I thought I got a good deal. I had owned the Breville centrifugal-type and wanted to "upgrade" my juicer. I did read a lot of reviews and I know Hurom and Omega are the best. So, I bought this model. Assembles fine. The instruction manual indicates that I should have gotten TWO strainers (fine and course). I only got one in the box. So, I tried it and the juice IS PULPY! Not what I expected since my current Breville's juice isn't pulpy. So, I assumed perhaps I had gotten the coarse strainer. When I called Customer service, they indicated that they no longer include the "coarse" strainer with the juicers, that what I have is the "fine" strainer and that they didn't update their manual to reflect that. Well, even for this amount of money, I expected better. The rep on the phone indicated that the horizontal juicers are better than the vertical juicers. Oh great - so if I happen to buy another juicer, I'll just go spend more money on that one. I have what I have now so I'll need to make do... It does the job well - slowly pressing the juices and the pulp is definitely drier than that the centrifugal one. I guess I'll just need to do the extra step to "strain" my juice into the glass... I have read reviews that this model tends to clog - no issues with that...yet. BUT I can see where/how/why it could clog. Just be sure to alternate hard/soft fruits/veggies and you should be ok. So far, no issues...knock on wood... :) The machine IS heavy, sturdy, parts seem durable and good quality. If you can afford it, go ahead and invest in the horizontal-type juicer. That's why this model only gets two stars from me. If I had only known...

I bought this juicer 2 years ago and it works as well as the day I bought. It's a beast. It has juiced everything I've put in it and juiced it well. It's really, really well-made and should last a ling, ling time. It's easy to clean, easy to take apart and put together. One of the best things I've ever bought for my health! I love it so much I bought one for my son. He lives it just as much.

                                                fails on wheatgrass
I tried this machine for wheatgrass after reading reviews and it failed miserably. I made 12 oz of wheatgrass and it plugged up and stopped five times. When it jams up it is very hard to open then clean out all the jammed up grass. In addition, I had to strain the liquid because so much pulp got in. I just bought this and will be returning this product.

                                                  Quality Juicer
I have been using this juicer for the past 7 days, i have to admin that the quality of the juice was really really awesome one if your using the proper mix of veggies, leaf and fruits. The lagging side of the juicer is, taking too much time to make a single glass of juice( each time it's close to 1 hr) and cleaning the juicer after using it is a pain. specifically cleaning the pulp are is really time taking process. I am expecting more easy to handle device for the price i have paid.
