Hands down, this is the best insulation I've ever used. No itching. Sustainable. Great sound dampening. I've used this in exterior walls, interior walls, attics and mechanical rooms. I've eliminated all other batt style insulation from my builds, Denim is the way to go. I use a few T-50 staples to hold it into place.

As an insulation contractor, I can say this product is much better than fiberglass for sound retention. It is also better insulation, though not as good as spray foam. Fiberglass allows internal thermal looping which minimizes its effectiveness.

I chose the denim material because of its additional sound absorption qualities, and I am very happy with the product performance. It was easy to install and is environmentally friendly. And no itchiness!

Cotton insulation keeps the house warm or cool and is a joy to install.

I purchased this product for insulating my tiny house on wheels. Love how it is a non-toxic insulation. Definitely wear eye and nose protection due to the many dust particles.Perforations help make the job easier and in most cases fit perfectly in the wall cavities. The ceiling is a bit more challenging but doable. It is a heavier insulation so one does have to strategize on how to make sure it will hold up. Netting works great to keep it up in the ceiling. Overall very pleased with having this more eco-friendly option.

This stuff is so super easy to work with, and for the added sound insulation and absence of glass fibers or hazardous materials, it was well worth the added minimal cost to purchase. Be aware that 12 bags of this insulation (all included in the purchase price) means you are receiving one HUGE pallet; towering over eight feet tall. I picked mine up from my Home Depot for free, but had to take it in two separate trips in my truck. Working with it is very easy. I read a lot of reviews before buying and two issues that were repeated often were the dustiness of this product and the difficulty or ease of tearing it into smaller pieces (depending on who you ask). First; it really is dusty. But other than a few denim-colored boogers it didn't affect me. It wasn't a hazard to breath or anything like that. I did take to wearing a basic breathing mask (like the paper ones you wear at the doctor's office when you have a cold) after the second day just to keep from breathing it all in, but I am working in a very small, confined space that is hard to ventilate. Second; it tears really easily. About half of the batts are not perforated, and the other half are perforated in various widths. The batts with perforation don't have to be torn apart, but if you need to, it is VERY easy to do. I am working on a steel-frame house with 16" on center studs. These are designed for steel studs as they have to take up the entire 16" space (not like with 2"x4"'s where the wood itself takes up part of the 16"-- steel studs are just a couple millimeters thick so you need a batt 16" wide plus an additional 1/4" to make sure it's snug). Our steel studs are varying widths, especially around window, etc, so I have definitely used the perforations to get smaller widths. To use: lay these out flat for a few minutes and shake each one vigorously to get it to "pop" out and be the full thickness needed. I found it very easy to lay this insulation material behind all plumbing and electrical cords and then using my fingers, tear into the insulation along the cord or pipe and then just pull the insulation out and around said object so that the object was now encompassed fully within the center of the insulation, not in front of it anymore. I got lots of scraps working in odd-sized areas, but the scraps work well as loose fill too, so nothing was wasted. Overall, this denim insulation is far easier to work with than the pink stuff, and non-toxic. A winner! I will be recommending this to anyone redoing insulation or working on a new build!

I bought this for a bath and baby's room renovation. I wanted an insulation that would provide a good sound barrier, as well as be easy to handle. I believe I found what I was looking for. Install was very easy. I have an older house and not all of the wall cavities were the same size. It was simple to tear along the perforations to get the correct size. In a couple situations the perforated size options did not fit my needs and I had to tear the insulation where it was not perforated. It is do-able but don't expect it to tear straight. Also, blue fibers go everywhere. I ended up wearing a respirator while installing. Make sure to order the width slightly wider than your wall cavity as it is tough to get two smaller pieces to stay in place when friction fitting. Overall great product with no fiberglass itch!!

This product was east to use as a beginner and I loved the sustainable aspect of it. Would absolutely use again.

PRE SCORED EASY TO PULL APART . CLEAN TO WORK WITH. STILL SHOULD USE FACE MASK. NO GLOVES NECESSARY.

Recycled blue jeans Easy to work with. Better sound suppression. Probably more dust than fiberglass insulation. Much of the dust was caused by tearing off the handy perforations. There are 2 different sizes of perforations. I set aside one of each always had the width I needed. No fiberglass no fiberglass in my skin.

Love this product. I have breathing issues and this type of insulation was perfect for me and my family. Very green.

Easy to install, no itchy hands, but do wear a mask or you will be coughing! Really does deaden the sound from the outside. Totally happy with product!

LOVE this stuff! First heard about it 20+ years ago on a This Old House project in Savannah. With it being recycled denim EVERYONE should be wanting to use this stuff! This is our second order of it and we are using it in our old house renovation. Just sorry we have to order online rather than being able to pick it up directly IN the store.

Yes excellent product

The insulation is easy to handle and install and is perforated for various sizes which is really nice. It is dusty, so wearing a mask and eye protection is a good idea.

This stuff is great. I don't know why anyone even makes fiberglass insulation anymore.

the Ultratouch insulation was super easy to install. It does release a lot of lint in the air when you cut/tear it, so I wore a mask, but otherwise it was safe and easy to work with. Noticed a remarkable difference in the sound penetration of the building immediately.

Great sound barrier product

Worked with this product before with the same results, excellent performance. Too bad the rest of the America consumer’s can’t experience the ease, mostly they are too cheap.

Nice to the touch.

Our experience was similar in that the only drawback was the dust when you tore the perforations, but a dust mask is all that is needed. Easy enough to cut with a utility knife.

It was supposed to be 16 on center but it came 24 was a little more challenging but made it work
