Have used these timers in the past and been very pleased. When more were required this was my first choice.

Time is a little confusing to initially setup, but once setup it works very well

Replaced this exact unit that had been in service almost a decade in its little metal house outside through the hot Summer and freezing Winter. No reason to think this one would not workout the same way. Great little timer.

Used as a device for security...most useful for that.

When you program this unit YOU must input what state you live in and what area( NW,SW,NE,SE) There is no way to by passing this step. Why? I have used plug in units for decades. This unit is going back to Home depot.

The instructions were a little difficult to understand. However, one I grasped the process, the timer is working perfectly. The time has been right on time in all instances. It has been installed for a week with no problem.

I have three of these only because of its size. It is way too complicated to program and the last software update to this was back in 2007. If you don't need the size there are a lot more out there that are less complicated.

Been using this for 9 years in landscape lighting transformers... Have probably installed 200+. HARD to program...loses from 1 to 5 minutes per year...LR44 batteries corrode after 2-3 years. But other than that, it is VERY reliable, as long as you keep 120VAC power connected up. My customers LOVE the set it and forget it aspect of this product. It DOES fall back and spring forward during time changes. Screen is difficult to see the on / off and am / pm...especially in bright sunlight. Overall the best I can find in the market today. Just have to be patient and diligent on programming. With a better screen and easier programming and longer lasting batteries and better time keeping, this product would be perfect.

Replaced original unit with new one as dial on the original unit no longer worked.

I found this time to be very difficult to program. Once, programmed, it appears to work well.

This is my second one of these. While it works very well it can be difficult to program, unfortunately I would not call it intuitive and is easy to make a mistake when programming, follow the directions carefully.

I little challenging at first to program but once you get the hang of it - it works well. Bought this to run multiple cycles with our hot water pump. It is doing the job.

A lot more expensive than the other timers. Somewhat difficult to program. Couldn't find a way to reset and start over the programming and had to remove the backup batteries to finally reset it. The scroll wheel is too small and feels uncomfortable to grip. So far it seems to be working well for the last 2 days, but I am only using it for a single lamp on at dusk and off at 1:30 am. I rate it as only OK and not as good as the 15 year old model it replaced.

Has the mind of its own sometimes

Difficult to program. Reprogrammed 4 times and still did not work and had to return it. Even when properly programmed it did not turn light off.

I purchased the unit with a larger screen thinking it would have larger letters thus easier to read. I was wrong. Lucky for me I have a large lit magnifying glass on an articulating arm that allows me to see all the letters. After attempting to program it several times before I used the large magnifying glass I finally followed the instructions point by point and was successful. It certainly is not intuitive, especially when you can't read it. I suggest writing an app that could be viewed on a large screen with a question and answer format and then easily transfer the program to the timer.
