Delivery was on time. Arrived in perfect condition. Tested as soon as I got it cutting some square pipes at straight cuts and 45 degrees cuts. Cuts were true. Only complain is the adjustments bolts are a little bit awkward to loosen and tighten with the provided wrench. Is also noisy and lots of sparks that was expected, that’s the nature of the beast. The blade guard is very loose and shaky but it does the job that I bought it for. No complaints.

Overall standard of quality you'd expect from Makita. I'm not a huge fan of the "lock" chain to place the machine in storage, just seems like it could be done better. All in all, a great tool.

Everything is good . I have not used the DC part yet . Cuts good and straight.

Bought this saw to cut 1x2 tubular steel. The blade made a lot of sparks but would only make a groove in the steel which was quite wide because the blade flexes so much. It will not cut steel. Took it back and exchanged it for a carbide blade metal cutting chop saw.

The saw works great and has plenty of power, and is easy to use. I would like to see a better system to hold the saw closed when not in use, the chain is a bit cumbersome; a lock button would be better. Very pleased with this purchase, would definitely buy another one.

Overall the unit is well built, and suits my purpose. My only complaint, is I have to use a lot of pressure to get it to cut. It may be the fault of the wheel that came with it. I will know more when I have to change the wheel, and try it again.

Arrived damaged and would not make a straight cut. Returned to HD store.

The saw is very good. Well made,Makita usually makes a very good tool. Previous experience with Makita Products, led me to this saw, as compared to others. Spend a little extra money,this is what you get.

This saw is used mainly in a home welding/general use atmosphere and the ease of use in cutting both angle and square stock has been great. Setting up angles works great and provides perfect cuts.

Had a milwakee chop saw for over 9 years and we do plenty of exhaust work

I run a fab shop and this saw gets used on a daily basis. Often go through 1 or more abrasive wheels a week on it, for over 2 years and its still going strong. I love my makita and feel its far superior to the similar Dewalt counterpart which I have also used in the past. Highly recommended for a abrasive saw!
