The unit is called Patrol LED NIGHTLIGHT.The installation is fairly easy, take off the existing single pole switch, by removing the screws, then disconnect wires. Installation is the reverse.Voila You have as modern quality switch and night light.

This replaces a single pole switch; that is a only one switch controls the light(s), and is mounted standard electrical box. You will also need a cover with the rectangular opening & matching color! The outlet includes a pair of 'sharp edges' on the lower mounting tab(s) that function as wire strippers! Interesting feature.... You can adjust the "night light" settings to several settings (press lower right corner of the 'night light'): Manual indicates: Auto - NL is on when the room is dark/dim (pick a level... 1,2 or 3). Always on - NL and also selectable ( 1,2 or 3) Since this is an LED, the power consumption is extremely low. Works great in a closet with a hidden light switch. The 'night light' is a separate function from the switch. It needs a path to neutral to operate properly. The wiring diagram is quit good...follow it. Don't wire the night light to ground (rather than neutral) it will work but, may trip GFI breakers and is not NEMA code.

I have a hallway in my house that doesn't get a lot of natural light so I needed something to cast a bit of light, especially at night. I've used plug in night lights, but they take up an outlet and usually don't last too long. Since I already had an existing light switch in the hallway, installation was a simple as removing the old one and putting this in it's place. It gives off enough light to put a soft glow on the hallway to walk safely down it at night. Very happy with this product.

This is a great night light and switch combination. The photoelectric feature to turn off in a lighted condition to the ability to set to 3 predetermined setting or if desired to turn to a brightness by selecting the dimmer function makes this night lite unique and valuable for some area. We use the dimming feature to make the light a very low light not to effect going to sleep but still enough to guide our way at night. Highly recommend.

This single pole switch is good looking and modern. Complete instructions were included for single pole installation, however I could not find any indication that the switch will work with LED lights. The instructions show a figure that appears to be incandescent while the box shows a figure that appears to be LED. I guess a call to Cooper would be required although I was unable to get through. The adjustable night light might be good as sometimes these are too bright for the area in which they are installed.

This is a direct replacement for a 15 Ampere single pole receptacle, It is quite convenient - particularly in a single gang installation - since it obviates the need for a typically oversize night light plug-in . And it looks sleeker and does not project into the walkway (or gather dust and invite toddler curiosity). Normally the light is in automatic ON/OFF mode (via an unobtrusive photoelectric eye in the corner of the lens). This can be bypassed to render the light always ON. Likewise the light can be dimmed. Both programming features cleverly are accessed by depressing the light lens as though it were a button. With screw tabs and 2 back stab connections at each terminal, the device can accommodate pass-through circuit wiring and switching more than one, say small light fixtures, wired by separate cables in disparate directions. The expected LED longevity is on the order of 5.7 years if constantly on.

So far so good with this product. It was super easy to install and exactly what I was looking for. Kind of disappointed it isn't in stores anymore but......

The switch with LED night light was easy to install and works exactly as expected!

easy to install and easy to adjust intensity of the light. puts out as much light as a normal bulb nightlight.
