These are used to vent air between the soffits and attic space. I think these are a tad over priced for what they are but it seems like they work and they are easy to install. All you need to do is slide them into the rafter space down to the soffit opening, staple them in, then put in some kind of dam to prevent any insulation from falling into the soffiting. I used fiberglass rolls because it was quick and simple but you may want to use some thing that prevents air from passing through like foam blocking. You can install more than one vent to extend the height if needed. I installed two in each rafter.

    Overpriced
DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. It is only 10 pack when I received. Just go in store and buy it only $2.x each. Quality is OK to provide ventilation for the attic.

The difference is in you driving to the store and picking up the product or having us pick, package, and ship the package to your home. Freight and cardboard costs have escalated in recent years.

      OVERPRICED
Why are these prices in a 10 pack at $7 plus dollars each when you can buy them individually at $2.81 each?

Response from ADO Product ExpertMar 24, 2023
Because of the escalation in freight and cardboard, these are also individually picked and packed by an individual getting paid to pick and pack them -. In contrast, others come in a larger quantity to the store, and you drive to the store and pick them up.

Worked very well. Fairly rigid. Enough to slide past some nails through my soffit vents and then move to attic for final stapling.

They were installed easily despite the pitch of my roof. Used a staple gun and got them right up. Only time will tell how much they benefit the insulation of the space.

Thank you for your comments - we do sell the proVent which is a sturdier vent. The Durovent works best in new construction and proVent works best in a retrofit or re-insulation application.

super easy to install , but doesnt block some insulation from going into the soffit. Also way too high for 5 cents worth of plastic

            Overpriced.
Do whatthey're supposed to. Easy to trim. Easy to put up. But $2 for a single length is WAY over-priced. 50 cents a length is what they should cost

              Hot Attics
The thickness of these channels should be doubled. You are trying to retroactively shove the channel between the fiberglass insulation and decking. Decking is not smooth and you are going to hit nails; thus a little more stiffness would be good. Otherwise it is a good product and reasonably priced.

strange pricing for a good product
the lightweight styrofoam equivalent of this tore very easily when I tried to use it to add fibreglass insulation above a sloped ceiling. I wonder why the Depot penalizes you for buying a carton of 10. $1.95 each piece vs $22 for the carton?

              an answer for a need
Since attic ventilation is a must, these items fill a need. They're thin & at first seem flimsy, but can take the bending & moving about to fill the rafter void, separating sheathing from insulation. They may be cut to length with handy knife.

              Just what I needed
I bought these and the 24" version for my remodel project. I used 70 or 80 pieces total on the sloped attic ceiling and gable sides. The vents are easy to cut and sturdy enough to maintain an air channel when using insulation of the appropriate thickness. They seem more sturdy than the polystyrene version. Installation was pretty easy.

              DISINTERGRATES OVER TIME
I installed these some years ago. Recently did an inspection in my attic to discover these eave baffles disintergrating.

These are made of polystyrene, unfortunately polystyrene does not disintegrate. Please send pics to our company - sales@adoproducts.com.

Fan extremely noisy and often makes a strange shuttering noise.
The fan appeared to be a good price; however, it is very loud and can be heard from any place in the yard and especially the bedroom over which it was installed. If it had been the bottom end of the line, one might have expected the noise issue; however, when you move next to the top of the line, you would assume that appropriate noise control techniques would have been included.

              Good Venting Product
You'll need to frame out from your joists with 2x2's in order to accommodate the insulation. It is a good product.
