Customer Reviews for EcoSmart 13-Watt (60W) A19 Bright White LED Light Bulb (2-Pack)

I desperately needed a high lumen bulb that would reach full brightness instantly, for my vanity. These 60watt equivalent LEDs worked perfectly. Since the recessed light housing had a max wattage of 50, I could not use an incandescent and a CFL takes about 30 seconds to reach full brightness. These led bulbs are great, very bright, same color as an incandescent and no heat to trip the thermal sensor in the light housing. The down side is they are expensive and I would not have replaced a CFL with an LED if I could have accepted the warm up time. The wattage is only slightly less than a CFL, 11w vs 13w, so no real energy savings.

These bulbs are as close to incandescent bulb lighting that I have found. They rate number 1 with consumer reports mag. (Oct 2012 issue). They give off the great bright light, the are not hot, they save energy, and they don't look too "weird". Yes, they are a little pricey, but the price has come down since I bought mine in Sept. Now, if they last as long as they are supposed to, they will pay for themselves in a few years. I'll update my review if they develop any problems.
