I bought this just as an add-on to another order. I figured I "needed" a new light and this fits a battery system I already have. I had no idea I was buying the best light I have ever used. The magnet is extremely strong, combined with the clicking adjustable angle hinge makes this light extremely universal. Put it on metal HVAC ducts, the underside of a car hood. Heck I've even dangled this thing from a single screw. If you don't have a ferris surface to attach it to, it has a nail hanger. Then there is the light. It is not exactly a flood light, but it works amazingly for items between a couple feet away and 15 feet away. There are two settings. Click the light on, it turns on to high, press and hold for a low setting. Both provide PLENTY of light, and operate for a surprisingly long time given the tiny battery that powers it. I've used this for plumbing, auto work, added light during power outages. It seriously has me considering buying a second one, which I really have no use for but I am sure I would figure something out. This has become a permanent item in my tool kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I restore old cars and as a result I’ve bought several kinds of work lights. While they all have certain values, this one truly can’t be beat. It’s very bright, can be put in a broad variety of positions, has a really strong magnet, a trick clip, and a folding platform that makes it my first pick in almost every situation. I really love it!

I've owned 2 of these and absolutely loved them. I bought the first one about a month after they hit the market and somehow it "walked away" after about 2 years or so. I've had the second one for about 3 years now. Both have had EXCELLENT service with very rough treatment in the HVAC\plumbing industry, all sorts of auto work, construction, headlight for lawn mowing (like having off-road HID "rally" lighting for your mower LOL) camping etc. It's been left up\running in the rain for over 2 hours. I forgot it one night while using it for grilling and it was still on the next morning. It's fallen off of 8 ft ladders countless times. Batteries charge in 15-30 min so with just 2, you'll always have 1 charged if you are near the charger. Or if you have some of their other 12v tools take 6 charged batteries and you'll have light for a week. (6 batteries 60-72 hrs of continuous run time) The charger can run off even the smallest power inverters (the little weak ones you plug into the automobiles "accessory port-AKA-Cigarette lighter) So these things would be EXCELLENT for power outages due to hurricanes, ice storms etc. I'm somewhat of an LED-high intensity light "collector" and have multiple headlamps, handheld torches, search lights, spot, beam, spot-to-beam, area\work lanterns etc. And sure, you can find lights with further "throw", or larger area coverage, or hands free, spot-to-flood, zoomable headlamps etc. But the sheer versatility and usability of this very little, lightweight, multi-mount, multi-angle light has made it my most used, "favorite" all around light.

I've had this flashlight for several years now and the think has taken an absolute beating, bean dropped multiple times, and so on. The clip eventually broke but honestly, the thing has been a workhorse. Would absolutely recommend this product and Bosch for worklights.

Received the FL12 light for Christmas, it is the best work light that I have in my tool bag. The magnet and adjustable stand really adds to the utility of the light.

Not much to add to other reviews. It's versatile, compact, bright, and stable. Magnet is strong. Compared to similar sized lights, this is definitely on the expensive side. But compared to other 12/18/20v 'tool-battery' powered lights, it's in line with the rest.

I just bought 2 more FL12's to give me a total of 10. They are so versatile. With the magnetic base, they sit on or next to my drill presses, band saws, and spindle sander. The battery life is excellent. We keep them in the bedrooms in case of a power outage. I just love them.

We have a few of these at work and we love them. I like them so much I bought one for myself. Great for working on the car, camping, unloading containers.. you name it, it is great for it. I do have to applaud the magnet in case anyone had doubts about its ability to hang on. I recently drove for 4 hours with it on the back of a box truck, accidentally, through the sleet and bumpy country roads and it didn't even budge! Thankfully it didn't, or I'd be out of a light! Great product as always from Bosch.

Bought it over the holidays and use it for work on a daily basis. My shop is dark and dirty and it’s withstood tough conditions. Able to work with both hands while still able to see what I’m doing. Overall the brightness is great and the battery life is great as well.

This light is amazing, So, is the drill and 12 volt battery that go with it I've had them for years they're the best there is

I was using the Caterpillar usb rechargeable lights prior to buying this for my work. I do bathroom remodeling so I need a good flexible light when I’m working thru access panels on plumbing. The caterbiller lights were always nice but the magnets weren’t very strong. This Bosch light tho the magnets are very powerful. I used it for the first time a couple days ago and was impressed with how well they grabbed onto the tub and allowed me to position the light to shine exactly where I needed it to be. Great product will be buying a few more in the future as I expand my tool inventory

Excellent work light! Love that it fits into my Bosch 12v platform, provides amazing light for it size, and has excellent features. The clip, the magnet, the threaded socket, what more could you want.

Well-made, rugged, very bright, wide beam spread, mounts by magnet, a carabiner clip, 1/4" screw thread for tripods, a nail hook, or the pivoting base with detents. Great for working on cars. Not cheap, but well worth the money.

Well made, very bright. Adjustable base gives numerous options for setting up the light and directing it towards your work. Caribiner and strong magnet a plus. Not a big difference in the two light settings, so I'm not sure how useful that feature is. Should reduce battery usuage, so that is a plus. Robust construction, much better than most of the competition. Should last for years.

Came to the site today to order a second. Best light I have ever owned, I've been abusing my first one for a couple of years now and it still works for some unknown reason. I use it both at home and work, figured it was time to buy a second.

Got the light for my girl friend as a gift. Just so happens the power went out because of freezing rain. Made the whole evening bright. Great light.

Using this as an auto motive work light. The different methods of attachment make it useful in a variety of situations to light up those areas that are difficult to see properly.

Very bright light with good positioning features. I would have preferred a sliding or a click on/off switch as it turns on with the slightest of touch.

I bought this light about 6 months ago and have found it extremely useful - especially when working on cars. The light is very bright and battery lasts a long time. It's a bit pricey but you won't be disappointed with its performance.

I reach for this first because it is so handy and compact. It can be attached with magnet, carabiner hook, pivoting stand and offers long operating time.

Used this light for a project with low lighting; worked great, and battery lasted all day.

This is a great light. I think it is overpriced but since I'm already maintaining the battery for my drill it was a no brainer to add.

I bought this product as I needed a good dependable flashlight and I already had batteries to power it. Product performance and features are great, but it's over priced.

Fantastic , liked it so much I bought another a week later. Puts out allot of light for being so small , the different mounting options make it so convenient to use. Find myself purposefully working in the dark so I have an excuse to use it.

I tried two of these for a month and loved them so much that we ordered one for christmas gifts for our whole crew. We paired the gift with the bosch click to go kit with one charger and two batteries. We are using bosch battery tools exclusively with no regrets!

When I push the battery into the flashlight it bends the metal tabs so the battery doesn't get connection now I have 4 batteries that r no good

Great small package that fits every application I've thrown at it. Easily lights a smaller room. Very battery efficient.

Nice floody beam pattern. Very bright and lasts a long time, even on the little 1.5ah batteries. Magnet is strong, very handy.

This is the best and brightest work light with a strong magnet to hang off metal items, small in size, stands on its own uses very little power so batteries last a long time and the batteries work with the other 12 volt tools.

Lasts for 7 hrs- longer than I do. Thanks Bosch !!
