This is by far, the best performing dust extractor that I’ve used to date. It doesnt lose suction* (*with a fleece bag), filters are long lasting, and its the quietest dust extractor on the market. This workhorse has never once disappointed me, from cutting concrete indoors to collecting stockpiles of wood dust, it consistently performs even when the fleece bag (Always use fleece bags!) is near capacity. To me, this is the most critical function of these high priced dust extractors, which is surprising that other competitors (Bosch and DeWalt) versions are really poor at doing just that. Makita’s dust extractor comes with one of the longest cords and hose as well, which can be a little annoying when transporting it, but it definitely beats carrying an extension cord around! The only other dust extractors that can match Makita’s performance ,Hilti and Festool, cost a minimum of $500 more.

There are a lot of pros with this machine, self-cleaning, very quiet, decent suction. One of the bigger pros is it roll very easy. On the cons side, for $500+ dollars, it should have much better suction. It only comes with one tool, a crevice tool. You would think for the money they could include a full tool set, we are only talking plastic. Have had it about 5 months. Don't use it everyday, but when I do use it, I run it for hours. No issues.

Very quiet, good features, better than expected.

Reasonably priced for such a high quality piece of equipment. I like the strong suction, long cord, long hose, and the internal system to automatically clear the filter.

Didn’t even come close to sucking up all the dust from the 14 inch angle cutter and the 5 inch angle grinder. I haven’t been able to use it on any other tools yet.

Powerfull and quiet. Will accidentally suck up a bag of large bolts. Love it. The filter bags are 7 bucks each, but worth the convenience, and never having to change the main filter.

Vacuum works great. A little pricey once you buy the hepa filters but overall well worth it. Vacuum is light and easy to roll around. Hose is flexible. The auto clean works great. I would buy this vacuum again and the shipping through Home Depot was flawless and came in earlier than expected.

Good quality quiet and powerful I use it to suck strings thru conduits

This vacuum works well except for the lower suction settings. Periodically it ramps up to full suction before pulsing to clear the filter. If I'm using a lower suction because I'm cleaning something delicate, I have to listen for the increase and pull the nozzle away before it gets to full power.

Works great! Wish it came with attachments like a vacuum! Building a house and want to use it on the floor between jobs.

The hose does not have a swivel end when attaching sanders, sweepers or extension tubes etc. making it extremely difficult to use. It has a nice feature of plugging a sander in and when the sander comes on the vac comes on, however you have to unscrew the hose a turn or two from the end to be able to handle the sander.
