I have been using Turf Builder for the last several months consistently and have had fantastic results. I'm pleased with the new growth and vitality of my lawn! Finally I can combat weed growth as I compete for the best lawn on the block :)
I have used this product in south Florida with success, however, in Ohio, a more hard clay environment, this does not seem to work; even with lots of rain and watering. It has a high nitrogen content which should make the grass greener but that doesn't seem to be the case in our area; or home. And, I have two pallets of sod down, 200 square feet, that this had little affect in two applications eight weeks apart. It's an affordable product to try, and a known brand, but, like I said, in the Cincinnati area of clay dirk yards this didn't seem to give any noticeable results.
Product is great but the fertilizer section at the garden center at this location is covered in bird droppings and other dust and stuff!
Couldn't find even one bag that wasn't covered in something.
Will go to Lowe's next time.
Their stores seem much cleaner!
Last year we hired a lawn care service to take care of our yard and the results were unsatisfactory. This year I decided to fertilize the grass myself with turf builder. My lawn is nice, green and thick! I have people ask me what lawn care service I use and tell them I don't use one I use turf builder. Thank you so much for this amazing fertilizer. Make sure you follow directions or you'll end up burning your yard.
My grass was white and rain was forecast. I went and bought the Turf Builder Lawn Food and when the rain came, I put on my raincoat and hat and used the spreader that I had also bought at Home Depot a while back, and I spread the Lawn Food. My lawn got plenty of water, thanks to the rain. And it got plenty of food, thanks to the Lawn Food. My grass is green and has continued to stay green.
Durable, Easy to Clean, Functionality, Great Quality, Vibrant Color
I have tried numerous fertilizers but I always go back to Scotts. I set my spreader to just over half the recommended setting and go over my lawn twice. Once in two different directions to make sure I don't miss any spots. I have one of the greenest and thickest lawns in my neighborhood. You can clearly see in the attached picture where my lawn ends and my neighbors starts.
