The faux wood is very dark brown. There is a distinct ticking sound, surprising because of the movement . Overall I like it.

The brown is almost a perfect color match with my kitchen cabinets. It looks very nice on the wall .

Looks great, and works great at a good price.

Works great, but you can hear the ticking sound in the next room, if the TV is not on.

I was looking for a clock that balanced minimalist design with the function of actually being able to accurately read the clock. Style wise this was perfect and worked well. It does however have a VERY loud ticking sound from the second hand. Now if it was hanging in a family room or a kitchen this is of little consequence however I have it in an alcove area of my bedroom where I have my home office set up. It has taken me a little while to get used to sleeping with the ticking sound but most nights it's not a problem.

I bought this 4 months ago. Just what I'm looking for. The usual wall clock. Perfect size. Can't beat the price. I don't really mind about the frame/shape/color, as long as it works well.

The color was different (darker than online) and I returned it!

No surprises, just a big clock with easily-read numbers that works as needed.
