The telescoping handle stuck after 6 months use. The unit was hardly used and kept in mint condition. The aluminum handle should not rust after a short time because it has 15 years warranty. Home Depot refused to provide a replacement unit.

It works great we have used it to pick apples it makes it nice so we don't have to use a ladder

When one gets older it is not wise to be climbing on ladders, thus the purchase of a fruit picker. As you can see in the photo my feet are planted firmly on the ground and I'm able to reach and pick a bounty of fresh fruit from my trees. Nothing like growing and eating fresh oranges and grapefruit, and now I can do it safely from the ground thanks to my fruit picker I purchased from Home Depot. Additionally, as the tree gets taller I can use the telescoping feature to reach the highest fruit. Reach the fruit, position picker over the fruit and pull its that easy as the fruit drops into the basket.

I have 2 pear trees and a peach tree in my backyard. I was trying to pick the fruit standing on a ladder (not the safest way). I was able to get to the fruit a lot easier with this fruit picker. The extension worked very well and didn't have a balance problem when extended because of its light weight. Very easy to use.

Not easy to adjust length, no instructions with product or online, expensive. Handle is fiberglass, not aluminum.

I have never used a fruit picker before, but I must say it's very helpful and accurate in picking the fruit from our tall trees and spots that we couldn't reach.

This is very well made and really gets the job done. It will last for years. If you have tall fruit trees, you need this.

Gool Wonderful. I can now get all my fruits picked before the possums and squirrels bite and destroy most of them. You have saved me a lot of money and I can share my fruits with friends and family. Thank you for coming to my rescue!

Very hard to extend the handle. There is a clamp right where you put your hand to twist-to-extend.

The times tend to get tangled in the branches, and I have had to use a pruner to cut the fruit picker loose at times. It also doesn’t fit easily around individual apples.

I am having a hard time loosening the rod every time after I picked my avocados. Your manual is blank. Can't find it on YouTube or Google either. What does white horizontal bars means? Sometimes, I just leave it extended. Very inconvenient and ridiculously time consuming to collapse the rod.

Wasn't long enough to reach the mango at the top of the tree!!

Worked ok for about 20 uses and then the basket detaches often getting stuck in the tree. Bad design - basket is attached to pole using a tight metal band - should be screwed onto pole.

I went through two of these things. On both of them the telescoping pole jammed so badly I couldn't get it loose. And this was even though I loosened it after each use and stored it upright in the garage. After the second one failed, I took the basket off and threw the pole away. I attached the basket to one of those Unger telescoping poles used for reaching high windows. It's a bit wobbly, but so far (4 uses picking avocados) it has worked.

We finally replaced our 40 year old wood handle fruit picker with this aluminum extension picker. We use it for our orange and lemon trees.

This fruit picker worked perfectly. Our honeycrisp tree was very productive this year and some of the apples were way out of reach. The telescoping function was also quite useful.

I am quite pleased with my purchase.
