Poor quality
Does not make hot coffee it us Luke warm at best. We will try another brand the next time.

Similar to one I had...
When my Mr. Coffee 10 - Cup maker with Thermal Carafe finally reached the end of its service life, I replaced it with this updated version. It works very much like my old one; only difference is this one has a digital readout clock and not the readout that looks like an analog clock. This unit is very easy to use and the coffee stays hot in the Thermal Carafe for a reasonable time. When it finally cools some by the end of the day, a poured cup goes in the microwave to reheat...and voila'...fresh brewed flavor once again. This does not burn coffee, as there is no heating element under the carafe. Simple to use and simple to program. Very glad I could replace the original one with this similar one.

Lasted >10 years before replacement needed!
I wanted a thermal carafe. This keeps copy plenty warm until at least noon, and being able to pull the pot out before it stops brewing is great. This has been used to brew a full pot of coffee, often with the timer, almost every single day for over 10 years (maybe even 15 years), and just started leaking this week. I've been researching to replace with the same type and am happy it is still available.

    Good and bad features
    The coffee is good and I like the button for "stronger" coffee. What I don't like is removing the lid every time to pour a cup of coffee. Besides there is always a little water on the lid for the first pour. With nothing to slow down the pour you have to mop up each time. The "old" carafe idea was much better too There is no need to keep coffee warm when it's in a carafe. This is a waste of electricity. The coffee also loses a little heat each time you remove the lid.

    Excellent coffee maker
    I bought two of these. They both worked so well it is why I purchased a second one. In my 70 years I have purchased many expensive coffee makers and non could compare to this one.

      Not exactly a winner!
      The set up is nice, easy to use....but the coffee comes out lukewarm...coffee should be HOT not lukewarm...didn't have this issue with my old Mr. Coffee :(.

      Brews a good cup of coffee, just gets cold
      After using this coffee maker a month, it brews a good cup of coffee.But you need the microwave to heat everything after the first cup.

      Hi, your thermal carafe should keep your coffee warm for up to 2 hours as long as the lid is in place. If your coffee is not very hot, you may want to try "preheating" the thermal carafe by pouring hot tap water into the carafe before brewing, especially in the winter months if you live somewhere cold.       Happy with This Coffeemaker
      I've had mine for about 3 years now. I brew coffee a couple times a week in it. It brews the coffee fast and the carafe keeps it hot for a long time. When I have company, I get it ready the night before and use the delay brew timer and it's ready when we gather in the kitchen. As perfect as it is for me, there are just a couple minor things that could be improved upon. One is the pour lip on the carafe....it seems to dribble the coffee on the counter ... no biggie, but it does happen. The second thing is when you have the lid on the carafe and serve coffee, I find the button hard to push down. Maybe it's just me, but would rather see a leaver than a button.

        Fast brew - stays hot
        Got this for my Christmas guests to replace one 14 yrs old. This one seems to brew faster but still makes a fantastic cup of coffee. Time was my guest shouted NO when I offered coffee, then I got my first Mr Coffee and all that changed. I can rely on compliments - I use four scoops and fill it to the top and it does the rest! I reccomend this to any size family. I brew 4 pots while dinner is cooking and pour into other thermal pots so it's ready when we're ready for desert

        Problem with the coffee temperature
        I am disappointed in the temperature of the coffee when it reaches the carafe. It is no where near as hot as my other coffee makers and I could not find instructions on how to raise the temperature. I would like advice on this issue

          Has to be worst Mr. Coffee Coffee Maker ever
          Have had this in our home a month and we are ready to take our losses and go buy another. Cannot say anything good about it. Hard to fill, hard to pour, way too much condensation throughout the maker when done. Cannot put parts in the sink because they all hold water. Horrible piece of machinery. Mr. Coffee should give everyone that bought one of these their money back.

            Makes really good coffee
            I gave this coffee maker good marks across the board. It is not a high dollar coffee maker and I have never owned this brand before. I wanted the thermal carafe and I wanted a programmable start. I don't know anything about the energy efficiency so unable to rate it other than it does not have a heated surface for the carafe to sit on .. maybe that is energy efficient? The programming allows for regular or strong coffee to be brewed, I always use Italian roast on regular setting and it has always brewed perfectly.

            Great Value, Great Product
            We were looking for a cheaper replacement for our Bunn coffeemaker. Love the carafe; keeps the coffee hot without scorching. We haven't used the programmable feature because we like to grind our beans fresh. And it brews in 8 minutes.
