This stuff sealed a leaky roof. The alternative would have been either $3,500 or $5,000, which are estimates by two professional roofing companies. Both companies pointed out to where the leak was, and after applying, despite a number of atmospheric rivers here in Los Angeles county, the inside of the house no longer dripped rain water. If you have a roof that has been estimated to be good for another 5 years, and the problem area has been pointed out to you, and, you can access your roof and get off the roof in a safe manner, than you might give this product a try before shelling out a repair expense.

Built a shed that I attached to the garage and joined the shed roof to the garage roof, sliding the tar paper and shingles under existing garage shingles. Before doing that I used the Henry Wet Patch Roof Cement to seal the joint of the shed roof OSB to the garage wood. Also used a bead of the Wet Patch Roof Cement in the channel of the side and end drip edge metal flashing. Used a caulking gun, works well with that. Can be a little messy but after a few days the black roof cement dries to the touch.
Have had a lot of weather since putting on the roof, lot of snow several times, up to a foot of snow once. No leaks anywhere.
So far, so good.

So far so good
Woke up to a leaky chimney, flashing had not been installed properly. Bought this and after about an hour of work I haven't had any leaks around the chimney yet.

Have used Henry roof patch for years. Works great. Only one problem, still can't use it without getting it all over my self.

Pigpen, unfortunately that can be a problem because of the "stickability" of Henry 208 Wet Patch. Henry 208 will adhere to a roof surface leak with great strength regardless of the weather conditions. Driving rain will not hinder the ability of Henry 208 to stop the leak instantly and stop it for 7 years. Thank you for putting your trust in the Henry Co and the Home Depot.

Thicker application never cured/dried.
Thicker applications of 1/8 inch never dried/cured. Thinner areas did not repel water. Weather was sunny around 50 degrees for several days. Cracks covered were very thin; no more than 1/8 inch. Today, 6 weeks later, still not dry. Product is as soft as day of application in some areas. Removed the soft tar. Sure made a mess. Disappointed. Will wait until dry (hopefully soon) and apply silicone caulking.
Used this on a chicken coop roof.

Lisa, this is surprising news. Henry 208 does take up to 90 days or so to cure completely. The application process should follow the 3-course patch method illustrated on the can. Apply a 1/8th" layer of 208 to the surface, embed Henry 181 or 183 Fabric into the first layer and cover the fabric with 1/18" to 1/4" layer of 208. Roofs expand and contract daily and without the fabric support the cracks may open up again before the 208 has had a chance to cure. Please reach out to us directly at jszymanski@henry.com so that we can discuss your issue in detail. Thank you for your comments.
