My wife and I are very pleased with the cabinet refinishing and it was easy too! The cabinet looks brand new and looks like it has a factory finish! There are no brush marks and all you can see is the wood grain. Look closely at the photos. The cabinet was kitchen counter type cabinet that was 19 years old; it is 4 foot wide by 3 foot tall. The original finish was antique white as you can see in the photos of door comparison. Total time was three days from start to finish. To get a professional looking job you will need four thin coats. I only used half the quart of paint for the front. Room temperature was about 79 degrees and it was dry as we live in Phoenix. There is practically no odor from the paint. This paint is much different than regular white latex paint in several ways. It dries faster, it dries harder and it sticks better than regular latex paint. I could tell this the first time I washed up the tools and I could not get the freshly dried paint off of my hands easily. I removed the doors, drawer fronts and hardware so I could paint them laying on flat surface and washed everything with TSP. Followed up with a light sanding and filled one small dent. I started on the backs of the doors and drawer fronts to learn the proper technique. I only painted one side at a time to avoid finger marks from turning. Also I found that if the doors were sitting just on paper, the paper stuck to the door edge and could not be removed without sanding. Once the doors were preped, it only took about 15 minutes to apply a coat. I cleaned the brushes and roller after every use. Here is the secret I learned from watching a few YouTube videos about cabinet refinishing. See the photos for the tools I used. 1. Apply the paint quickly with a 2” brush. You are not trying to cover everything. This is only to get the paint on the surface. If you are doing a larger project, you could apply the paint with a separate roller. 2. Use a 1” foam roller to rapidly smooth the paint. I never used the roller to pick up paint from a tray. It is only to smooth the paint. 3. Use a small brush to clean paint from grooves That’s it. See the photos for the completed cabinet. I plan to do the interior of laundry room door so everything matches.

This is a quality paint. It covers well and does not run. It evens out when it dries giving a nice uniform sheen without brush or roller strokes. I'm glad I bought two cans of it and cannot wait to use it on my next project. In the future I anticipate painting my kitchen cabinets and will consider using this product. It's that good.

Crisp white paint
Cabinet coat applied smoothly, but did see some brush marks which I don't like. Next coat was rolled on with foam roller. Very pleased with results.

Kitchen looks new again
I bought a foreclosed home not too long ago. The company that had rehabbed the house had painted the cabinets dark brown. The paint they used scuffed even if you touched the drawer or the cabinet. I researched a lot of paints and this one seemed to have the best reviews. I ordered two gallons. I had to do three coats since the original paint was so dark. Paint covers well and levels beautifully. It dried fairly fast, I was painting the cabinet doors in my garage on one of the muggiest days of the year, so that probably didn't help either. Three coats on 26 cabinet doors, 7 drawers and other visible parts of the cabinet took only one gallon. I actually returned the other gallon back to home depot. The kitchen looks much vibrant and cabinets look much more presentable. My boss is about to paint his kitchen cabinets and after seeing my cabinets, he is talking about buying this same paint. Would definitely highly recommend to anybody.

Worked well, good end results
This product worked well, I had to do a total of 5 coats plus 2 coats of varnish to get the desired look. Took 3 coats of the cabinet enamel right on top of the wood cabinet to fully cover the wood look. I didn't do anything prior - no sanding, stripping, nothing. Then I had to do 2 coats of the color I wanted, plus 2 coats of varnish, but the end result was very good. No more wood cabinet. May have been easier and less coats if the cabinet enamel could have been colored, but the associate in the store told me it couldn't, not sure why since it was just a basic white. They also said I needed to sand and do prep work, which was not necessary. To their credit, this is not sold in the stores and as they admitted they were not familiar with the product.

This paint is awesome!
I started with an old stained and varnished corner china cabinet and ended up with an updated white china cabinet that looks brand new!! I even updated the brass hardware with satin nickel hardware purchased from Home Depot. I am so pleased with it all!! Best paint I have ever worked with!

Worse paint in the world! I read some of the reviews for this product before I purchased it and I guess it is just my umb luck that the cabinets came out absolutely horrible with this paint!!!!! The paint turned a dingy dirty looking greyish color about 4 months after I painted the hutch & the other cabinets in the kitchen. It was not sold in my local store so I purchased online & it was very expensive for the paint. I followed the directions to a T and know after less than a year the paint is chipping off the hutch cabinet. This is not the first time I have had a problem with paint I bought at HD so you know I will be buying paint from another store from now on . I reaiize different woods are going to take to paint differently but I don't think it should have become so crappy looking after just 4 months! I would never recommend this to anyone.

I have been buying this paint for over 10 years. The best durable easy to apply paint. The secret is that you need a top of the line brush to apply. Smooth finish that stands up to years of use. Used it on doors furniture and cabinets. If you are painting over a high sheen paint, just sand it down a little and has excellent adherability.

painting old oak cabinets which is a lot of prep work. Sprayed 3 coats of this on the backsides and was not really happy with the results. Broke down and bought fine paints of Europe eco satin which is about 3x as expensive but the results were fantastic.

The hardness of the paint is very nice. Although I didn’t try, this paint would be ideal for spray application. I had brushed on and it took 3 coats, other paints I’ve tried also took 2-3 coats. But again hardness of the finished product is fantastic.

Very difficult to work with and yellows quickly! Certainly not up to the usual quality of Benjamin Moore paints, but perhaps that is reason why they market it under a different name.

I put this on kitchen cabinets. So far it appears to be a good finish for the cabinets. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it takes quite a few coats to cover the old wood finish.
