These work like a champ. 4 stars because as they get bigger, they can get harder to use and stay snapped together during installation to the joint. For sizes greater than 3/4” you should get an extra or the 10 pack. These have worked 100% of the time to stop leaks at the socket for me.

This simple, inexpensive, and easy to use product saved hours of work and hundreds of dollars of material cost. As part of a complex water delivery system for animals, we designed and installed an in-wall PVC system that served to store and deliver on-demand fresh water to domesticated poultry. On final testing we found a small, steady drip leak at a pipe/adapter joint. "Expert" advice was to saw out the adapter and install a repair, which would have cost time and money. We searched for a better solution and this product was ABSOLUTELY a home-run. It was inexpensive, fast, super simple to apply, and 100% effective at reinforcing the joint/pipe seam and stopping all leaking. Do not believe that a PVC pipe/adapter seam after priming/gluing can not be fixed - buy and try this product before you start sawing and replacing! It just flat-out works.

I had a leak in a connector in a very difficult location, under a sidewalk surrounded by sprinkler valve wires . I had to cut out a part of the sidewalk and clear soil around the leak. I was pessimistic but the Leak-B-Gone ring worked perfectly. I later used it on a second leak. I highly recommend it.

Yea, wasn't the best solution..it was difficult to snap back in place once on the pipe.. I would go a different direction hindsight..

Did not work on my job

Leak-B-Gone stopped the leak and saved us from having to redo the work. I would definitely buy this product again.

Three 2 in. PVC Repair Rings were applied to three joint leaks. None of them fixed the leaks. The rings as received could not be closed around the pipe. The clasps had to be modified to allow them to be fit around the pipe but after being cemented in place they did not stop the leaks. Even if the concept is theoretically sound, the clasp is too weak to be able to shave some PVC off so that the ring fits and still can be twisted after it is cemented in place.

Didn’t fit around the pipe properly had a hard time getting it to click together after put the primer and cement on when I went to slide it up against the joint it became unclamped.

Very difficult to snap together. Comes in a pack of 10 and good thing because I broke 3 of them at the locking joint. Once I finally got one together it was leaking the next day.

Bought the multi-pack, did not snap on properly. Abandoned effort.

Wasn’t necessarily expecting a miracle here, but still disappointed in the quality of this product. If I’m paying almost $30 for ten cents worth of PVC, I would expect the parts to be at least half decent. These rings definitely won’t stop any leaks for any amount of time.

Purchased item to repair a sprinkler leak at the joint of a 1 inch union/tee. The video makes it look easy. Three main things were mentioned: a) pipe must be clean, b) fitting must be the right size, and c) the fitting must be closed/locked. I cleaned pipe, placed to 1 inch fitting over the pipe and primed and placed a generous amount of glue next to the joint. The final step is to lock the fitting and snuggle it up to the joint. The fitting did NOT fit over the 1 inch pipe and was thus completely useless.

It's a great idea but the ring was too small. I could not get it to snap together after putting it around the pipe. It was too small. Even when I snapped it together ti see if I could slide it on an open ended pipe, I barely could but I could not slide it down the pipe. I had to rebuild the section that was leaking. It took me less time to rebuild the section than the time I spent trying to get the leak-b-gine ring to work.

They don't perform well on the pressure side of a PVC pipe. Probably my fault for not researching this before I ordered them.

The maker should redesign the product to make it easier to connect the two ends of the band after placing it around the pipe. I suggest including a tab at each end that makes it easier to pull the ends close enough to secure them in the notches that hold the ends together.
