This replacement unit works perfect. The one I sent back just buzzed and wouldn’t open.

The valve us good, it would be nice if the necessary connections came with it or were even available at home depot etc.

Planned obsolescence. Rainbird is the company of choice now

Orbit Customer Service is terrible. They no longer support a lot of their old product lines. Can't get replacement parts. DO NOT BUY ORBIT PRODUCTS, ESPECIALLY THEIR PRE-BUILT MANIFOLD!

The part was easy to install The old one lasted 25 years.

I converted my manual valves to electric several years ago. They work fine, but over time I've had problems with the solenoids. Not a hard replacement, but hard to find. Otherwise, set and forget.

When I installed the valve none of them were working properly it looked like it was too old

Working great and it was just what I was needing

The Orbit 1 in. Male NPT Jar Top Valve was exactly what I needed and I could not find this specific valve at any other nearby store.

The assembly is easy to replace and install

The three that I bought didn’t work correctly. I ended up taking the insides of the valves out and putting them into my old valves. Still haven’t figured out what was wrong with them.

This valve would not turn on. After many hours lost trying to make it work and eventually having to learn how these valves work, I discovered that the problem was a bleed tube that was plugged. If you do buy one take 10 seconds to blow though the bleed tube before you install it.

It fit right in and all the parts worked. Good valve.

Why aren’t these stocked in the store? The manifold for my sprinklers was set up with these originally.

If you are in the market for your basic 1" irrigation valve, thia is your first choice. Although Orbit is considered in the industry to be on the low tier, us DIY'ers can rely on Orbit and dont have to shell out too much. The installation was simple, I purchased 6 valves to replace my old ones, they all worked, they all sealed. If you have the Orbit valve manifolds, these tie in great. I would definitely recommend them if you have an Orbit irrigation system.
