Finally recieved this piece of junk! Tried it and every time i turn up the regulated pressure the air leaks out the hoses underneath!!

Four stars because I haven't used this compressor very much since I purchased it. It is small and lightweight which is why I wanted it. It will run a small pin nailer or, if you don't rapid fire, a finish nailer. If you want a compressor that will run an air blower to clean dust off things or to run an air ratchet or die grinder, don't bother. The air delivery rate is way too slow for those type of jobs. Pressure regulator worked well and it is not overly loud. Would have liked to have rubber feet on the end of the unit so it could be stored upright to save room and not scratch the paint. I will come up with a fix for that myself!

The regulated pressure gauge is way off. In order to inflate trailer tires to 50 psi, I had to crank the dial up to 80 psi. The attached picture shows both the compressor and the air pressure gauge I used to check the regulated pressure--the separate gauge is a precision instrument, so I believe its reading. Also, for most home jobs, the 1-gal tank is a little small. I'd recommend at least double capacity now that I've had the opportunity to use this one.

This fit my needs perfectly for an apartment dweller. I'm 60 and have been through many larger compressors as the needs required. I needed a small, quiet, lightweight home unit to clean a/c and vac. cleaner filters and general hobby task. The build is solid quality and my 1/2 hour use so far has been very impressive. Would recommend highly for this usage.

OK to start out, I have been in the trades for over 25 yrs. I have worked professionally in virtually every trades in residential construction. As compressors go, I could not even begin to tell you how many deferent manufacturer and types I have used. I currently own 3 different sized compressors, and this is the only one I cary with me continuously. This little thing is the best combination of size, power and performance I have ever used. If you are looking for anything under a 3-4 gal. compressor, you should give this one a really close look. No..just buy it. Limitations: it is a 1 gun compressor for finish carpentry and related work. It is not made for running pneumatic tools like impact wrenches and such. You could do maybe 1 bolt at a time. If your a homeowner/weekend worrier, this is a great all around compressor. even if your laying plywood, you could make it work, but don't expect to run an entire strip of framing nails with out stopping. So, if your only going to buy 1 compressor this could be it. The 3 things that impressed me most about this product: 1. Price: compared to other manufacturers in the size class, this tools was less expensive and out performed them. 2. Performance: They "Right Sized" the compressor. It maxes out a 125 psi, which is all I need, but the best part is that it gets there with absolutely no effort. The comparable pancake compressor on the market has a main pressure of 150 psi, but the last 30-40 psi takes for ever, because the compressor is pushing to it's limits. This little Dewalt has no problem getting to 125 even when I have 100' of hose connected to it. 3. QUIET: This is by far the quietest compressor I have EVER used. When I was shopping for compressors, there was 1 review where the guy said it was horribly loud and gave it 1 star. I'll just say that he has a VERY different expectation of what a compressor of this type should sound like. I believe he may be used to little compressors for airbrushing. I saw it being recommended for that, but I would say this compressor is not specifically designed for that use. Although I am quite sure that it could be used that way. I used to put my pancake compressor in the other room because I could not stand how loud it was. In fact many times I would not bring it into the house because I felt it was to disruptive to my customers. Now I am even a little bit proud to bring it in. In fact I feel just as proud to bring this compressor in as I do bringing my Festool tools into the house of my customers. If the size and pressure fit your need, then I have just 1 word...BUY IT...ok 2 words.

I am a professional cabinet installer that was looking for a compact compressor to run my trim nail guns. What sold me was the fact this unit is not only small, it only draws 2.6 amps. This was the deciding fact for me due to I need to run it off 100ft extension cord the majority of my jobs. The other was the price point. Once I received my first impressions were WOW! First was its size and weight and then how quiet it was. If you need a compact trim compressor DeWalt has the unit you need.

Mainly bought blowout debris from machines & parts for repairing & doing maintenance on. The compressor is would have been perfect size for easy mobility & it looks good too, but it lacks in output time is too short to be very effective with doing jobs in an efficient & timely matter. I wanted to use it for power tools also, so I may have to return it for a bigger mobil compressor.

This will not power much of anything. The only use I have gotten from this is to fill my car tires. It won’t even power a disk sander. Definitely would not have wasted my money if I knew it was so weak.

Very quiet, does not trip breaker, loght weight.

Great compact compressor we use it for air testing water and gas lines, Easy to carry and just powerful enough for trim work and air testing, Not great for pumping up car tires

Won't set the world on fire with air volume with the 1-gal tank. However, it's a great little compressor for around the house for tires and small air pressure cleaning. Much quieter than I expected, probably half the dBA's of my old one and extremely light and portable. Small upright footprint for storage.

I have loved using this compressor for the last year, but now the pressure regulator doesn't work. The dial when turned increases/decreases pressure on both the tank and line at the same time- so you can't have the tank fully pressurized while working at lower pressure. Makes it pretty much useless.

Perfect air compressor if you're limited in space. Will generally only work with a brad or finish nailer. Can also be used to top off car tires with air. I wall mounted it for storage but DeWalt says it can only be used when lying horizontally as that's how the motor cools.

I bought this compressor to replace a larger one I no longer needed/used. I like the size and noise rating of this item. I do not like the fact that I could not blow off my bench nor blow out a vacuum foam filter with this compressor. It is very under powered for these simple and easy functions common in a home .I can not speak to the use of a finish Nailer But I found this took a very long time to recover from light use. Dewalt increase the power, capacity and recovery rate .

Does exactly what I expected. with ease!

It works good for all my needs around the house. Not to big or heavy at all.

Easy to store and plenty of power/air.

Nice small quality built quiet compressor but just not enough pressure (125 psi) or volume for high demands. Fine for small jobs.

The 1st one lasted a few weeks before it would not even turn on anymore. Warranty replaced it for free which was amazing but the 2nd one lasted less than a month before the on/off switch broke.

Very quiet. Great for finish nailer indoors. Also good for quick tire inflation
