We've had this fixture for about 10 years. The bulb just burned out for the first time and I stupidly took the glass off to get access to the bulb. In the future, I will just get out a step ladder and reach over the top. However, having removed the glass and changed the bulb I went to put the glass back on and could not for the life of me get the holes to match up with the screws. I came to this site hoping to get a clue from someone else but instead found a lot of reviews that had run into what I had. I decided in my usual manly way to just force it so I got up on a ladder and slid it up and suddenly realized that the holes lined up perfectly. I'm not sure what I did differently other than slide it up from the bottom but I was not going to pull the glass back to check because I did not want to lose the alignment. There may be a weird angle on the back of the glass that makes it odd to align. My only suggestion is to slide it up against the wall from below.

Bought on clearance. Works great for closet.

After 10 years, the ballast in one of my two Hampton Bay sconces failed. Was happy that I could still purchase a replacement. Works fine; let there be light!

CFL light fixture is probably proprietary so replacement is likely hard. Light is very yellowish spectrum. Poor instructions

This is a terrific like it’s easy to install and it’s LED. Unfortunately Home Depot stopped carrying it. I give it five stars but it had this ridiculous dark mark through it to make it look antique I guess. It just made it look dirty. But it lights really well and dresses up my apartments.

Does the job.

The sconce replaces two we had in the bedroom. Since the old ones were brass trim this had a choice of 4 different color accents. Brass matches the ceiling light. Perfect but subdued.

When you turn the light on you can see the metalwork through the glass, kind of disappointed.

This scone is great. gives off great light

bought two, and one ballast burned out within a year. I removed the ballast and 4 pin connector, and just installed a $3 standard socket. The sidemounted bulbs do make a dark shadow on the left side.

I loved this until I put it on the wall. When coming down the stairs you could see the interworking; very tacky looking. I took it back and got something else. I would Not have given this any stars but it is required to have at least one.

This sconce looks great! We love how much light it gives off and plan to buy another.

#1 - These sconces do NOT appear to be dimmable. I even went and bought different, dimmable bulbs and these sconces still don't dim, which is a huge disappointment. Also note that they use the somewhat unusual "Quad 4-PIN" CFL bulbs. These bulbs have three different base types, so be careful when you order replacements! #2 - As noted by another reviewer, the bulb plugs into a base and hangs horizontally, with the base to the left within the glass. Thus, the left side of the glass tends to be dark and the right side bright. These sconces are not very expensive and I needed four (after my kids broke two of my existing sconces). However, knowing what I know now about these, I would not have bought and installed these lights.

The glow that this wall scone puts out sets the mood for soft music and a glass of wine!

The other reviewers - especially the one that bent the mounts - made the same mistake I almost made. The glass fixture goes on with the thick part UP and the thin part against the well. I thought it went the other way, read the reviews, and had a pliers in my hand when my wife handed me the fixture the other direction. She solved it!!! (P.S. if you just look at the picture on the box, it is quite clear.) The directions definitely could be better!
