I purchased this light to go into a woodshop. I was a little worried in that normally T5 fixtures want to be hung higher, but I went ahead an installed 6 of these at 8' (in a 16' x 12' space. The results are what I wanted, very bright and very white. I will never do T12 again!

Easy to install low profile bright flourescent fixture. I used two of them on top of a bookcase in the office and the light reflecting off the ceiling is more than bright enough. No need for the reading lamp anymore. The bulbs are a little expensive, but from what I read they last years and use less electricity.

These single T5 high output fixtures produce an amazing amount of light for the energy consumed. These fixtures also come with a programmed start ballast so they can be used with occupancy sensors without degrading tube life. T5 HO lamps can last up to 30 years when used 3-hours per day. Given the energy consumption, good light output, and long lamp life, these fixtures are an environmentally sound choice.

I replaced our 8. T8. Fluorescent lights in our kitchen With just 4 of the 54 watt T5 Fluorescent lights. We now have more light and save energy as well. Planing on replacing The ones in the garage and shop.
