Great product for relieving the discomforts of dry, indoor air!
I like everything about this Air Innovations Clean Mist Smart Humidifier. It has a sort of egg-shaped design, but it's compact and stands upright. Per the manufacturer's recommendations, the humidifier should be placed on an elevated firm, flat surface where it cannot be easily knocked over. It comes with a detailed, picture-guided instruction booklet, as well as a one-year manufacturer's warranty against any defects. It has a number of features, including a permanent ceramic filter, an ultrasonic nebulizer, a dual directional mist nozzle and a cleaning brush that stores inside the base. As for its functions, there are six, including delay start, auto-off, mist output, humidistat, beep/dim and low water indicator. The display is all digital. When you turn it on, it automatically detects the humidity level in the room it's in, however, you can change the humidity level to your own desires with the humidistat button. There are four levels of mist output and you can adjust it with the mist output button. So far, I have not yet used the other functions of this humidifier. The tank holds 1.6 gallons of water and on low mist output it can run up to 64 hours, presuming you have filled up the tank with water all the way. If you have hard tap water, it's best to use distilled, filtered or boiled cooled-off tap water in order to reduce or eliminate "white dust." Some humidifiers can be very noisy, but this one only generates a very low humming sound. You can, however, hear the water in the tank bubbling. All in all, this is a great cold-mist humidifier to reduce or eliminate the discomforts of dry, indoor air, which can exacerbate coughs and the symptoms of a cold virus.

GREAT VALUE
The clean mist digital humidifier has been a wonderful asset for my gas heated home. Aside from the obvious, the humidifier is a nice sleek design with a built in humidistat, digital LED display and easy to see through tank. I really like the auto shut off feature so if the tank runs empty in the middle of the night I do not have to get up to turn off the unit. The humidistat lets me know exactly what the humidity level is for my room so I don't over or under humidify the room. An added feature to this is you can set the humidistat to the level you wish to maintain a constant level of humidity for the room your are trying to control humidity levels in. The unit is supplied with a multi-directional misting setting which allows the mist to go in two directions at once. One thing I could not find in the manual was the square footage this unit covers. According to the manufacture the unit will cover up to 400 square feet of space.

Very good humidifier, better than any other I have owned
Every winter the air gets very dry for a few months, and when the relative humidity gets down to 20% or lower, I find it very uncomfortable to sleep--my nose, mouth, and throat get very dry if I don't use a humidifier. I have previously purchased humidifiers from the big box pharmacies or Amazon, but they all seem to be very basic, regardless of the price. The just have a single knob on them. So I was pleasantly surprised with this Air Innovations humidifier, which has many thoughtful features that I have never seen before in other humidifiers. The one feature that you notice first is that it has several buttons and a LED display. The most useful part of the display is that it shows the relative humidity ("humidistat"), so I no longer have to keep a separate humidity meter in the room. And another great feature is that you can set the desired relative humidity, and the unit will pause when it reaches that humidity. This is a HUGE benefit over the other humidifiers I have used, where you have to guess how to adjust the single knob on the unit and invariably end up having too much or too little humidity during the night. The control panel also lets you set a Delayed Start and Auto Off. I probably won't use Delayed Start much, but I may try the Auto Off so that the humidifier shuts off automatically in the morning. One feature that this particular model doesn't have, that the HUMID06 model does have, is a Preset button. So with this model, you can't save presets. Not a big deal for me, but if you like to use all of the different settings, the Preset feature may be desirable. The Air Innovations humidifiers come with a ceramic filter, with small ceramic beads, for the water tank. I've never seen such a filter before, so I'm not entirely sure what all it filters out of the water, but I assume it helps clean the water before being processed. On that note, I would strongly recommend using only Distilled water in humidifiers. If you have even remotely hard water, the minerals will quickly build up in the humidifier and make a mess that is a pain to clean, and you may see a white haze in the air and white dust on your furniture as a result of the vaporized minerals. It is not worth the hassle. Just take the time to pick up several gallons of Distilled water from the grocery store and you will save yourself much frustration. After using tap water for a few years and effectively ruining a humidifier, I now only use Distilled water and just keep several gallons in my bedroom closet for convenience. In terms of shopping for humidifiers, it seems most are rated in terms of gallons, with the larger capacity models being more expensive. Based on my particular needs, where I only use the humidifier in the evening, the water capacity isn't a very meaningful measure for me. The issue is that if you leave the water in the humidifier for more than a few days, mildew or mold can grow and make a mess. The manual even says "WARNING: Never leave water inside the tank for several days". So I try and empty mine every morning (pouring the distilled water back into the water jug) and let it dry during the day, and only use it again in the evening if I need it. As a result, I never need to fill up the tank--I use 1/3 gallon at most for one evening. So for me, capacity isn't nearly as important as getting sufficient output for the size of my bedroom. So far, this model has done a great job keeping my master bedroom at 40% humidity on dry evenings. On the other hand, if you have a situation where you need to run the humdifier throughout the entire day, then water capacity will be more important. One final nice feature that I appreciated is that the water tank has a handle at the top and the bottom. This may seem trivial, but when removing the tank and taking it to the counter or sink to drain it or fill it back up, it's very nice to have a handle--something my other humidifiers didn't have. The only minor drawback I've found with this model is that it has a very loud annoying beep. When you plug it in, it beeps. When you press any button, it beeps. Thankfully, they have a button to turn off the beeps, but why a humidifer needs such a harsh piercing beep noise is beyond me. The HUMID06 model does not beep at all, so I don't understand why they have it on this model. But overall, this is a great product with more features than I've ever seen in any other humidifier.

best humidifier ever
This humidifier is one of the best ones that I've owned. It has many features, like adjusting the humidity level, intensity, timer options, spray direction, and different modes. It's very easy to change the water out, which doesn't need to be done frequently because it has a very long run time. This unit is also so quiet that sometimes I can't even tell when it's on. It only makes a faint water gurgling sound every once in a while. It's works amazing and has been a lifesaver during the winter when the air was very dry.

good humidifier
Being that it is winter its gets very dry at my office. So when we received this product I took it to work to see if it would help the dryness in our office. The heat always makes it so we can't breathe. I find it easy to fill and like the idea of the permanent filter. I am using the filtered water as suggested. Being that it is in the office it is very quiet and helping the office feel more comfortable. The controls are easy to set up. I might have to buy another one for home.

HUMIDIFIER
First off I would like to state that I received this item for free in exchange for an unbiased review of the product. I was in the market for a cool mist humidifier when this product was offered to me. My granddaughter lives with us and the doctor recommended we have one of these. This unit has a nice size storage tank and is quiet and very easy to clean. The 3 speed blower is a nice touch. I would recommend distilled water which will save time when it comes time to clean it...

Looks nice
I have just used the other product from your company and it works fine. I will test this one in my guest room when they arrive. All of your products are very reliable and I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors. I will know within a few days how this one works. Again, I can always rely on your products. It is good to know a company who backs up their products. Thank you.

Clean Air Humidifier
This humidifier is larger than expected (about 14" tall and 12" wide). It takes up a lot of space but it is quiet , programmable and humidifies a room adequately. The air feels cleaner somehow and lubricates my nostrils. One major drawback is that it's a bit complicated to fill, use and clean. It also recommends soft or distilled water if you live in a hard water area..

the humidity control is nice
This humidifier works great. It has a lot of features and I really like the permanent filter so you don't have to go buy new ones all the time. I use this mainly at night in my daughter's room since she gets bloody noses regularly in the winter months due to the dry warm air. This humidifier has a humidity control on it and that is wonderful. She really likes the mist on it, and says that this really helps her. This is a good size too and holds a lot of water. The one thing I don't like is that you really need to use filtered water or you will most likely get a white dust coming out of it. The directions do recommend that but it would be easier to just use the water from the sink. That is the only thing I don't like about this. It is also very quiet and my daughter is a super light sleeper and would get woken up from other ones we have used. Great humidifier!

new model is even better
I love the humidstat and the mist control. You can control how much mist it produces and once it reaches the pre-set level it will stop. This is as useful as the temperature control on a space heater. My old humidifier does not have this control so when I put it in my baby's room, the room was full of fog in the morning. There are also handles on top and bottom of the water tank which makes filling easy. There is a filter inside the water tank so I don't have to wash the tank with vinegar water every week like I used to with my old humidifer. I put filtered water in the tank so there is even less worry about germs. The new model has less and bigger button which makes it easier to read. I love this humidifier so much that I am going to have more in my house, one for each bedroom!

An ultrasonic humidifier with decent capacity and solid features
Overall, this is a good ultrasonic humidifier with a small foot print and sufficient capacity for a small to medium room that probably won't require being refilled every night. It includes a permanent ceramic filter, but does say to use filtered or distilled water if you have hard water. I'm guessing this recommendation is due to the white dust that ultrasonic humidifiers can put out from minerals in hard water, and not necessarily damage it would do to the humidifier, but there are water additives you can use to reduce white dust as well. It's got a humidistat, timer, dimming option for the screen, shows current humidity level, pretty much all the features you might expect in a digital humidifier without a remote. I'd recommend this for a table top location, if you want one on the floor I'd recommend a different model from the same brand that has a remote and an optional output stem to put the output higher up. I find the appearance to look a little cheap, but that's subjective. Thankfully its small enough not to become the focal point of a room.

Good Humidifier
RE: 1.6 Gal. Clean Mist Digital Humidifier - White Ordered this to use in the grand kids room upstairs. The air tends to be dryer upstairs. The room size is 15'x20' and this seems to do the job. This unit has an adjustable humidistat to measure the room humidity and turn the humidifier on/off as needed. It's tall sleek design is a great space saver.

If you can swing it, this is the one to get
The purpose of a humidifier is to get the humidity in the room back to the ideal level, which is typically between 40 and 60%. Every other humidifier I've used requires you to guess at how much it will change the room's humidity. I've used some humidifiers that dump out so much moisture it becomes difficult to use the door as the wood and trim in the room swells so much. I've had others that run and run and don't seem to change anything at all. This humidifier not only tells you the current humidity in the room, but it can be setup to shut off once the chosen amount has been reached. You can choose anything from 30 to 90%. Also, you can change the rate at which it pumps out moisture; from a barely visible amount (like that from a hot cup of tea) to a strong billow (about double what shoots out of a kettle on full boil). Another important feature is that the tank has handles integrated into the top AND the bottom. This is important because not everyone using this will have strong grip strength and 1.6 gallons can be awkward at full load. The only issue I've had with refilling in that the nozzles on top can easily slip out once you flip the tank over for filling and they clanked loudly around the tub. That's likely to be a one time thing once you get used to refilling. I feel like it helped my sick family get back on their feet faster by keeping the air moist enough to help their breathing, without making the air feel sticky and making it difficult to stay comfortable.

Full of features but a little bit noisy
This humidifier replaces my current (which you pretty much turn on and use a knob to adjust how much moisture it releases). I like several features with this humidifier. -It is tall so it doesn't take up much space on my dresser -It has a humidistat which measures humidity in the room and shuts off when you reach the desired level. Note: a draw back to this is that it won't reach that level unless you set the the mist setting high enough. -It's mist sprayer is adjustable so you can better spread the moisture. -It is programmable; delayed start, humidity, timed run, it does it all. Directions and buttons are easy to follow. -The ceramic filter and anti-microbial plastic alleviate some contamination fears -The display can be dimmed when you are sleeping. The only drawback I have found is the noise it makes. It is as quiet as my old humidifier and quiet overall but the slight hum it makes can vary as it runs. So, if you are extremely sensitive to noise are night, especially light noise that can vary a little, you may have a problem with this humidifier. Myself and my wife (who is sensitive to noise) sleep easy with it. It is not that loud but just a caution. Overall, we are happy with our new humidifier. It is powerful and the programmable features makes it versatile and effective.

Nice Unit--Very Quiet for a bedroom!!
This is a very nice unit. It sits on the floor in our bedroom and is very quiet. The instructions were clear on how to set up the unit. Many features,I don't use all of them. Just want the unit to put out humidity, auto off /on when it reaches that point, let me know when to refill the tank and I'm good. It does ALL that and much more! I would highly recommend this for a bedroom because it is so quiet.

Look Are Everything
I was pleased when I unpacked my humidifier, it looked great. After reading the direction I filled it with distilled water plug it in and turned it on, only to find that it leaks water. It was quiet except for the leaking water coming from over the rim between bottom & top. Had to put a towel under it to keep water from running. It works but not well.

Great Value
We notice a difference already with the furnace on and cold weather outside. No static. This humidifier works instantly, has many controls: such as timer, humidity preference settings and amount of mist. The reservoir holds over a gallon of water, which lasts us about two days before filling. We have Culligan soft water and have noticed no problem with white-dust, which can settle on furniture near the unit if your water is too hard. The mist output nozzle can be rotated to any direction and split into two directions at the same time. I honestly was surprised at the price...an excellent value and it works GREAT. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because of the water filling. It could easily have been designed with a fill cap at the top. But it does have a nice handle at the top for lifting the tank off the unit. Then I take it to the sink and have to turn the tank upside down, unscrew the filler hole and fill from the tap. Once that it done, it has to be turned over again and carried to wherever the unit is placed in your house. It would have been nice if you could have brought a gallon of water to the unit and filled it without removing the entire tank.

Stylish and Effective
Needing a room humidifier, I was drawn to this one by its stylish good looks. I was doubly pleased and impressed by its performance. We like our setting to be just high enough to prevent those nasty static shocks you get when the air is dry. Running a full tank on the second setting continuously, lasts for nearly three full days. It's very quiet, almost silent and you can dim the dial's light at night. There are a great variety of settings making this a very versatile choice. If you use ordinary tap water, you'll probably get what is called "white dust" which is a very light residue or film on hard surfaces. It is caused by the mineral content in the water. It is annoying, but you can eliminate that by using distilled or filtered water.

This is easy and quiet. With the mist you do not have to fill up the tank that often.

Best humidifier I've ever owned
This humidifier has a large tank (I fill it every other day, running it on max output for 10-12 hours per day). It also is SUPER quiet--other brands and styles usually have that characteristic "glug, glug" noise that you hear as the tank drains--I usually don't even hear this one at all. It beeps when the tank is empty to remind me to refill it, which I appreciate, so that it isn't trying to work for hours before I notice that it's off. I also love the permanent anti-microbial filter--it keeps the tank and base from growing randomly-colored microbes all winter long! I've owned mine for 2 winter seasons and it is still going strong. No filters to buy or wash or replace. It even comes with a small brush that fits under the rubber gasket in the base to remove the white residues that build up with unfiltered city water (I've only had to use it once or twice a season since the filter keeps most of that from building up). I bought this model for my Mom after she commented that she liked the one that I had and she sent me a message the next day to tell me that it was the nicest humidifier she had ever had (I know, an odd compliment, but I agree with her!).
