Quality product
Purchased to replace an older valve that does not have the antisiphon feature. This valve has a packing gland available to remove the stem to change the seat gasket. The unit is capable of up to an 8 inch thick wall. With siding, this is usually my go to size when replacing older valves. The double threads accom3date either a 3/4 female connection or a 1/2 inch female connection. Installation instructions were included along with a hard plastic wall gasket. Overall quality and performance are 5 stars. I recommend these units to all of my customers.

Nice Faucet with minor suggestions
I gave this a five star since it works as advertised and seems to be very well made. I do want to mention a few things though. The mounting slots on the outside I think should be a little wider because you also need to drill a larger hole (1 and 1/8" minimum) to obtain the correct slant so that any water left in the Sillcock will drain out. I went with a 1 1/4" drill bit and just barely able to install mounting screws. If they would just extend the slot out 1/4 further on each side it would definately be easier for retrofit installations. Be sure and install the included hard plastic angle setter included. and foam around pipe after install. You will need drill bit and foam to seal around hole. I needed to install new hole since original was drilled thru brick and base plate so easy connect using flex pipe inside over to sharkbite 90 degree fitting.

Leaks at the packing.
Pay a few extra dollars for a quality spigot. Mine leaks at the handle, around the packing. I tightened it as far as it would go, still streamed water. I took it apart to see it the packing was cracked or damaged. It was fine, but the brass was mall formed. So annoying. I thought I had this job done. I'm sticking with Sharkbite for not on.

a fix for low flow or leaks
I had low flow and a leak (when I shut the valve). I solved both problems by removing black rubber that partially blocked the valve. The rubber was in the inlet (by the ½” FIP). The rubber came loose and partially blocked the valve (causing low flow) and prevented the valve from sealing (resulting in a dripping valve when shut). The rubber is in models with NSF 61 on the handle. The rubber isn’t in current models (that I looked at on 2/23/2020) sold at Home Depot. Current models don't have NSF 61 on the handle. I had to remove the sillcock to see the rubber blocking the valve. I would give this product a 1 star before I fixed it, 5 stars after I fixed it. I bought it in November or December 2018.

The EVERBILT anti-siphon sillcock or hose bib if you prefer seems to be of decent quality cast and brass parts that is getting harder to find in today's manufacturing processes. We have a water holding tank at our cabin and I use a pump on a switch for additional watering in an area above grade from the tank so it would be a disaster if our water were to be contaminated by backflow. With this type of spigot I can be almost worry free. The vacuum breaker valve will go bad on these so a brass one over the plastic it came with may be something to keep an eye out for. Really like the feel of the knob as it looks similar to something you would see steering a vessel. I don't need to drain before freezing temperatures hit with this model since it is frost-proof. I feel this will last me for a good number of years.

Living in the South, we do have the occasional freeze and most homes have not been prepared. Over the years I have replaced broken pipes and faucets due to freezing. I used this valve on a faucet installed under the house. I found when accessing the pipe, it was 3/4, not 1/2" so I installed with an adapter. This value is build of brass construction for many years of use. The built-in vacuum breaker eliminates back flow. It features a standard 3/4 in. hose thread outlet. Most importantly it keeps water from freezing in the pipe outlet.

EVERBILT 1/2 IN. X 6 IN. BRASS MPT X MHT ANTI-SIPHON SILLCOCK VALVE.. This was used in a home that has a crawl space and its not easy to get under the house to turn the valve off in the winter and besides not having to do that at all this just works. We have had -5 -10 temps in my area and every year this works without fail. Its a huge time saver and everyone should have one in the north.

The Everbilt 1/2 in. x 6 in. Brass MPT x MHT Anti-Siphon Sillcock Valve Is a well-made device. It looks like a standard sillcock except for the vacuum relief cap on top but the actual closure and anti-siphon valve are 6 inches behind the wall face. The action is smooth and controlled. The threads are clean and the anti-siphon valve works well. The handle has five prongs at the circumference that provide a nice easy grip. The vacuum relief valve works well although for a long-term life it would be nicer if the cap was brass not plastic.

My home had well water. I installed Town water, but kept the well hooked up for outdoor use. I found having to run the pump to water outside was using a lot of electricity. Also, when I would wash my truck, the well water was causing horrible water spotting. I decided to run Town water outside too. My foundation is 2' thick. I got a 14" sillcock, and removed some stone to get the end inside. That was a lot of work. So, when installing a second sillcock, on the other side of the house, I drilled through the upper framing of a basement window. Took me a lot less time. The benefit of a sillcock, over a faucet, a sillcock shuts the water Off at the opposite end, and then drains itself. Thus, no water exposed to the outdoors. Which is great for an unexpected frost. During the dead of Winter, I shut off the water. Only downside, this did not have a PEX fitting on the end. I had to install one, which was easy (see video), but an added expense.

Everbilt 1/2 in. x 6 in. Brass MPT x MHT Anti-Siphon Sillcock Valve appears to be well made and a nice feature is the anti siphon is self draining unlike an addon. It comes with a nylon spacer for use during installation. This is the industry standard ASSE1019-A. You can sweat it or use the threads attaching it to your system. The spout is threaded as well. It is designed to be repackable. And has an easy to reach nut behind the handle to get to the rod and replace the washers. The one this will replace for me is not that helpful I cant get it apart. I really like this handle. It has protrusions like a river boat paddle to make it easy to turn and it has a metal tag on the screw reminding you of the direction to shut off or open. I trust it to keep me from bustin a pipe.

The only thing that is not brass is the knob and the mounting plate and it is high quality. It has a well designed casting, high quality tubing and fittings. I am feeding my just after the pressure tank for maximum pressure. I will have two sillcock valve on my house, one on left side and one on the right. Good quality and great price. You can't beat that. I hope this helps with your decision. Good luck with all your projects.

This valve is just the right size. Fits nicely through 8” cinder block basement walls. The valve shut off is inside the basement and not outside in the freezing weather. After the valve is shut off the valve drains out. The 1/2” size is nice size that won’t drop water pressure. It is easy to mount and comes with a shim to match up to siding. The brass construction will not rust for a long time.

Sold here as a sillcock valve, is also known as a spigot or a hose bib, Everbilt makes about the best you can get. This is a frost resistant sill-cock that is also anti siphon and self draining. If you're not familiar with a frost proof or frost resistant sill-cock, note the length of the pictured product. In older homes, had a hose bib that was simply a basic shut off valve that screwed to a pipe sticking out of the side of your house. These had a tendency (in cold climates) to freeze during winter and crack. And if you failed to turn off the valve in the basement or crawl space, a cracked hose bib could be a major catastrophe. To render this, many years ago this design was introduced. It's long construction made it possible to actually allow the valve to be inside the home instead of right on the side. This greatly reduces the chance of it freezing and breaking. But the inside valve should still be turned off in cold climates just to be safe. This particular style has a valve on top that is required in most areas that have municipal (city) supplied water. It's purpose is to prevent a back flow or siphon in the event of a power outage or flood. In such an event it is possible for an outside sill-cock to draw contaminated water back into the municipal system. This being less critical for those who have an on site well for their water but is still highly recommended. Additionally, this particular design allows for any excess water in the valve to drain out once the faucet is shut off. This too is critical since in some designs, some water may remain inside the valve after being closed and could still result in a freeze.

Although I find the quality of material and construction of the faucet to be excellent I am very disappointed with the water flow. There is such a weak stream of water at the end of the hose it will barely rinse the soap from my motor home, hosing out the driveway is now a chore. Any suggestions on how to improve volume would be appreciated.

I installed this 10" sillcock on 6/29/2018. I removed the cap to test it out. I was disappointed to see the cap is made of plastic. It was difficult to replace the cap because of the inner seal that floats inside doesn't seat easily. When I replaced the cap and finally got the seal aligned, the cap leaked when the valve was turned on. I tightened the cap little-by-little to try to remove the leak, but then I heard a crack. Looks like the threads on the cap had stripped. I never got the cap to seal properly, so I am returning this to the HD store for a refund and will look for a different sillcock. I don't think the cap is designed well. I wish the cap was made of metal with an o-ring.

What a piece of junk. I installed one of these less than two years ago, about the same time as I installed a Woodford sillcock on the other side of the house. This one has become very difficult to operate. I have to use both hands to turn it on/off, it literally takes at least 30 seconds to turn it all the way on or off and the spikes on the handle dig into my hands. My other brand one is a dream to use compared to this. I think I've put up with this long enough and I'm going to replace it. Trust me, it will NOT be another Everbilt.

            Great quality.
I preferred this brand over others because of the "heft" when I picked it up to check it out. Also, this has a metal handle vs the plastic found on others. This fit what I was after. There's no instructions for this, so it's best if you know what you're doing.

            Not meant to last
Installed mine five years ago. The handle broke off, the valve stem snapped, and the screw that holds the handle, which needs to be removed to replace the valve stem, strips with almost no force. Cheap materials that don’t hold up to normal use.

Original faucet couldn't be repaired for drip. Easy to replace original 36 year old faucet on my home. House has brick exterior on 2x4 framing with 1/2 " ply. Only trouble was length on inside was difficult to hold pipe fitting. Took 2 people to replace. One to hold fitting on inside house and 1 to unscrew outside faucet.
