I had to have a coupler that could release the pipe later, maybe years from now. The shark bite was perfect.

Skeptical but more confident
Man! Redoing a bathroom has never been easier. I was stressed to put in a shower behind tile but I have used in other areas of my home and no problem

Wow!
Just saved about $700 by doing it myself. Between this and YouTube you can do it yourself! Had a pipe burst due to the recent cold snap and decided to give it a try. I have to admit I was a bit nervous but it worked perfectly!

Quick and Easy
I used these to replace old pluming. They are quick and easy to install instead of soldering copper pipe.

Hello, we are sorry to hear about the leaks you experienced with the 1/2 in. SharkBite Coupling. The main reason for failure is not pushing the fitting to the full insertion depth. A 1/2 in. SharkBite fitting requires 15/16 in. in order to create a seal. We recommend marking this depth on the pipe before installation. Please reach out to our Customer Service Team at 1-877-700-4242 so we can assist.

Kitchen Remodel
The wife and I decided to do a kitchen remodel ourselves because we're crazy. Our Kitchen sink cabinet needed to be replaced because of an old leak from a faucet sprayer line. Our plumbing lines are PEX which at the time I thought they were PVC. Not knowing the difference between the two, I called my local plumber and showed him a picture of what I had and he explained to me that my lines were PEX.
Anyway we took out the old lines and put new ones in using the Shark Bites. The old lines didn't have shark bites. they were press or shrink fitted and had to be completely cut out. Using the shark bites made the job EXTREMELY easier for me since I am a rookie plumber. During the remodel I had to connect, reconnect, disconnect again, reconnect again, multiple, multiple, multiple times. The shark bites made that process again so much easier to work with. I thought after disconnecting them so many times that they would for sure leak. NOPE!! On the last time I had to connect and reconnect the Shark Bites, one of the white pieces came out. I thought for sure that it would now leak. I put the white piece back in correctly and no issues what so EVER!! You definitely get your $$$ worth with the shark bites. All my connections are shark bites. Including the shut off valves. As you can imagine I highly, highly, recommend these for a plumbing issue, repair, or replacement of any kind.

While replacing the water supply into my home, it was necessary to replace several feet of copper pipe. I didn't wish to
break the seal on my water meter, I cut the outlet from the meter, cleaned the short piece of copper and connected
the new plumbing with SharkBite. Also, on the far end of the system, the new copper required connection very near
electrical wiring. Again, used SharkBite. You just need to debur the ends of the copper, in my case, and simply push
on the SharkBite. Sure beats risking other parts of your home when it is not necessary. I can sweat solder with not problem,
but didn't wish to cause other issues, I used SharkBite in those two areas.

it is good for a quick fix and Perminate fix, and if you mess up just use the tool to pop apart and reconnect, it is a little pricey but for small fixes it is OK. I took out a water softener and repaired the line with shark bite.

Worked like a charm. Had to replace a section of leaking copper pipe in a tight space. This allowed me to reach behind the wall to make the connection with minimal need to remove additional sheetrock. Pricey, but quick and easy, and less costly overall when considering the minimal demolition.

So easy to install, an untrained novice like me completed the repair in minutes! No soldering tools or materials needed. Most importantly was the fact that I didn't need to worry about the safety issue of trying to use a lighted torch in a close quarters sutuation.

This revolutionary product has completely changed the world of plumbing and saved me hundreds of dollars by allowing me to complete projects that I would have balked at previously. I have never been good at sweating pipes; the process involves endless wasting of solder, frustration, a lousy looking end product and my wife usually calling me names and telling me I should have just hired a plumber.
Thank you SharkBite, vindication has finally arrived and it has done so in the form of your products. These products collapse the time requirement, assure a consistently great finished result, and as a bonus make the seal easily removed in the event you need to perform maintenance or additional work. I don't have enough good things to say about this product.
I used three of these 3/4" couplings recently while replacing a filtration system in my basement. I have a two-system water filtration set-up off my well pump and I used them to connect the filters together as well as to the main 3/4" line. They were incredibly easy to install, just shut-off the water and remove a two inch section of line and then click these into place. They are durable, well-constructed, and effective. I have removed them twice now to modify the system and they are as easy to remove and reinstall as they were initially. Previously this project would have taken me a few hours, but thanks to SharkBite it took 30 minutes and as a bonus my wife not only complimented the appearance but indicated she was impressed with how fast I had it accomplished.
Magnitudes better than solder and worth every penny, I will use SharkBite products for projects in the future. In fact these are so useful, I keep a few various sizes on hand just in case.

Very easy to install
I followed the instructions to a tee and all went well. I've been periodically checking the coupling for sweating or leaks. All dry and holding. I'm a bit nervous on how the device can still turn on the copper pipe but it's doing what you guaranteed.

I had to hook up a water softener recently. The copper pipe that I was adapting to had a slow drip, so a copper sweat adapter wouldn’t work. This fitting worked instantly, with no leaks. The expense was justified.
