Installed it in my basement sump crock, summer of 2017. Only need it for spring thaw, when snow melts. This spring it died. So basically lasted 2.5 springs.

Oh it works good if you have over 14 inches of water but it is total wash if you only have a foot of water. No where does it say you have to dig out at least a 2 foot hole and put in a bucket that will stay down for it to work. I'm having to manually run it every 30 minutes to get the water out from under my house. It is going back and I'm trying to find a pump that will run until maybe 2 inches of water is left.

I purchased this sump pump at Home Depot 8 years ago. This sump pump quit working after 8 years. My basement got flooded as a result. My original 1/4 HP sump pump lasted 33 years. Don't know its brand.

This pump replaced an existing one (different brand), so the hook-up was fairly easy. It does the job it was intended for very well.

If you are into submersing and pumping, then this is for you!!! Some times it takes more pumping than most jobs would take. Pumping and pumping while submersed to no completion of the job can really put strain on your tool! Well the tool I have now gets the job done in no time and never leaves a wet mess. Pumps hard when turned on and fully satisfied when the job is complete.

Best investment ever

Fantastic, reliable pump. Overall very pleased with it.

I bought two in a row. I bought one, connect the pipe, put in, plugin the power, no sound at all. return it and got another one. I didnt hook up this time, instead, I put it into a bucket full of water, with pipe as well, plugin, no sound either. I have no clue what is going on

The pump installed easily and directly on existing piping. The reducer adapter was nice to have with the pump. The only minor issue I had was with the float switch I had to reduce the cord length through the holder. When I turn it on it worked very well, no problems. Nice pump, so far so good.

Easy replacement for my Flotec sump pump. No problems has been working great.

Only had this unit for 8 months, and during my daily sump pit check heard it running but sounding weird. Luckily, I have a second pump already installed so it took over while I removed this one to troubleshoot. I disassembled it thinking debris was inside. Nothing found and when testing in the laundry tub, it was unable to pump water out of the outflow port. Nothing was in the port at this time. The pump basically died. Sad, considering the price

It was simple to install. It took off right away and drained the swollen sump quickly.

I purchased this pump during a power outage for my hot tub. The power was off for 4 days during a Michigan winter ice storm, and the circulation from this pump kept not only my water gently moving, but also kept my tub at a temperature of around 90 degrees due to the heat emitted from the pump itself. This is simply a must-have for anyone in the northern climates. Do yourself a favor and be prepared!

Pumps great but float had to be almost straight up to kick on. Need to try to adjust float tethet alot or dig deeper hole.

Bought this and was loathe to spend so much but nothing else at Home Depot was suitable. I use it to pump out a small backyard pond I dug wherein my 25 cent goldfish went from an inch up to about 10 inches so far. Pond has a liner but green stuff grew and needed fresh water in it once a month. The pump pumped fast but after refilling I would run the pump more to clear out a little more murky water. Then I noticed a rainbow sheen on the water every time. Then the pump quit pumping. I took it out and activated the switch and it just hummed. I opened the bottom and it was clear. I removed the top to see if it had a capacitor starter and found the motor was full of water, not oil but water and rust too. Apparently the seal does not seal too well and any fluids for cooling and lube seeped out over time and water replaced it! Do not buy this and trust it to save your basement. I ran it occasionally as I said and in a regular service capacity I would worry it will quit I doubt the pump has 24 hours on it but lets say it had 48, is that too much for on/off use?? If it has a thermal shut down it never activated.

It was easy to install. The direction and material list was spot on.

Failed in a year and a half, just six months after warranty ended. We get a lot of water, so it did plenty of work in that year, but I wouldn't recommend spending $150 on this product. I switched to a Ridgid system, which is only $30 more and comes with a 5 year warranty.
